First off excuse the name, my account is linked to my sons. During my pregnancy I thought this office was great. Thats most likely because I had a good pregnancy over all. However since then I have received horrible care. I began having severe bleeding issues, called to get an appointment and was sent to the ER. Fair enough, while at the ER the practices on call physicians asks why Im even there, once informed they refused to see me in office and directed to ER she apologized stating I can make an appointment for the next day and be seen. I was charged at the ER and again once I arrived in the office. The provider didnt look at the tests run at the ER and attempted to run the same ones again. Once I stopped her asking to only repeat the blood work (CBC & iron) and do an ultrasound that the ER did not do. I was told there wasnt anything that could be done other than being on birth control and waiting 3 months too see what happened due to the ultrasound not showing cause. My iron levels were horribly and dangerously low, this was not addressed by this practice. In fact they refused to address it stating its not that bad (I have a history of anemia, I was already well below normal ranges the previous day at the ER and still extreme heavy bleeding. So I went to my PCP to address, yet another copay that this gyn could have prevented) At time of making my follow up appointment, I was asked specifically what problems I am still having. When stating Im still experiencing heavy bleeding and need to figure something out because my iron is continuing to worsen - thanks to my PCP checking it & attempting to treat- I was informed thats not their problem to monitor thats a PCP issue. Nevermind the two go hand in hand and I wouldnt be having this issue if we could figure out why Im having these problems. I stated all Im looking for is my PCP and GYN to communicate and work together because this is affecting my every day life and Im not okay. The receptionist stated "yea like I said not our issue to handle". My symptoms are getting much worse and so many other things are currently going on with me. Im shocked this practice is not willing to work with me or my PCP. Im young and have never had any health issues, so this is quite concerning and alarming. The receptionist even made a comment referencing Ive been seen for a lot of problem visits - Ive been twice in 4 years for the same problem. I thought that was the point of a specialist? Wow is all I can say. I would not refer anyone to any of the providers in any of the offices. The staff is rude and the doctors are too busy and consumed with other things. I would rather find another caregiver that at least listens to me and is willing to help.

I feel like the only person who has had a difficult time here. A few months back (pre baby) I had an ultra sound done to look for abnormalities which were preventing pregnancy. I showed up early/on time for the appointment. I had to get blood drawn and due to normally using a different office (same dr) was told to insure they got an extra sample for somethings specific. When I told the lab person she told me that she was going by what was ordered for me without further investigating my situation. After drawling my blood I was told to wait in the hall. I sat and waited not in the waiting room but in the hall for over an hour to have the ultrasound done. Watching other people come and go with excitement as I sit and wait to find out why I could not get pregnant. It wasnt until I was over 45 min in to my wait that the staff even spoke to me to tell me they were running behind. It was a awful experience. Now flash forward to my most recent appointment. I am 7 weeks 6 days, go to have my first ultrasound of baby the day before the office calls to confirm the appointment. I have been reading and talking to other moms and asked if I should be drinking extra water for the ultrasound. They girl on the phone told me you only drink water for the abdominal one not the vaginial one which is what I will be having due to being newly pregnant. So I show up early/on time for my appointment and when I go back to the ultra sound tech some how the date of my last period was entered for the month before so she thought I was 4 weeks farther along than I was. So she proceeded to do an abdominal ultrasound which was very unclear (I had not drank the required water and I just went to the bathroom before the appointment) and confusing. Then she didnt give me anything to clean myself off with and she is talking to my husband as Im holding my shirt up walking to the corner of the room covered in gel. I was so confused and annoyed. Then she sends me back to the other office to see the doctor. When I got in that waiting room and sit down I explained to my husband that I dont think they did the right thing he told me to ask the desk clerk so when I asked them they told me that I was right and was suppose to have the vaginial ultrasound but they are sure that she got all the information that she needed. (Which is impossible because they measure your full bladder and I had just peed) They said due to the insurance they could not do another one until later. I was almost in tears this is my first baby and the only chance I will get to see it for some time. I was so frustrated I left without seeing the doctor. This place is horrible and I would not want anyone else to go through what I have with them.

DO NOT USE unless you have a flexible schedule or dont work. My appointments were rescheduled without my knowledge, moved to a different office, and when I called to reschedule an appointment I made I was told there was nothing for several weeks and I MUST attend my appointment. I called to reschedule 2 weeks prior to the appointment date. When I went in for a check up I confirmed my next appointment and only after I asked was I told they had rescheduled me. Without so much as a phone call. The appointment was for the very next week. They have 3 offices and they will shift your appointment from office to office, that happened to me twice. This is all within my 7 months of prenatal care. They have too many patients, period. Once I needed to check out (just turn in my chart and go) and they told me to have a seat. I was there for 30 minutes before I got up. They had forgotten about me. I was told by a coworker she went for gyno care and experienced the same so she switched to the group for women. The front desk staff is mostly great with the exception of a couple rude young ladies. The drs, nurses, and physicians assistants were all very nice and educated and friendly. But if you cant see them whats the point.

I was seeing EVMS but switched to them so I didnt have to be delivered in Norfolk and I would be delivered in the city I live in Va Beach. They knew I was high risk when they took me and saw me from 14 weeks pregnant until now 30 weeks 3 days. I have been getting a weekly Makena injection from them being high risk for preterm labor it only last a week so they give them every wednesday my shot is due in the morning and the DRs had a meeting and will no longer see me they want to send me back to EVMS because Im high risk but my condition has stayed the same and nothing has changed for them to do this. I was told they wouldnt even let me come in for my injection in the morning which puts my baby at risk for being born premature and the company that ships my injections wont have time to ship them somewhere else so my water could break at anytime and baby could be born too soon this is so wrong that they are doing this. If I could give 0 stars I would plus they were very nasty towards me while telling me this when I was talking the lady wouldnt let me speak at all and they knew they would be putting my baby at risk and didnt care at all.
