Would not recommend this company. We had used them to care for my elderly father and it was a constant revolving door of the different nursing assistants that came to our house. So many different people coming and and going and every time a different nursing assistant showed up, I had to go thru the routine of showing them where everything was, etc.. My father felt uncomfortable of seeing so many different faces. They often arrived late, did not wear uniforms, and never offered to remove their shoes....tracking in dirt all the time. Most of the time were shabbily dressed & a few complained about the company not paying them enough. One of them, a black lady named Kimberly, constantly reeked of cigarette smoke, of which my father is allergic to. Most of them did not do a very good job of cleaning my father or securing the briefs properly after changing them. However, the most important thing to note is that they made fraudulent charges on our bank account. They require that you set-up auto withdrawal from your bank account to pay them so they can charge your account whatever amount they want to. I discovered that they fraudulently overcharged our bank account for $856 more than they should have. I emailed them to refund this amount to us but it has been a week now and they have not responded to my email. As a result I will be contacting the Loudoun County Sheriffs office and will be filing fraud/theft charges against them.

FirstLight took care of my elderly mother that has dementia and other health issues. They were on time, efficient and always communicated her needs and progress to me. They started with a few hours a day and increased to 24 hour care as her needs changed. They were so comforting and helpful in my mothers last days with us and even went so far as to send a sympathy card after her passing. At her funeral service, the caregivers were given time off to attend and pay their respects. I appreciated this gesture and will recommend them to anyone that needs care for their family in the future.

I am so happy that I found FirstLight Home care and would recommend their services to anyone! For the past six months they have been caring for my mother who has dementia. Not only do the caregivers cook, clean and help my mom with her baths. Her caregivers keep my mom active and takes her to different community events. We have one main caregiver and a second when she is not available. The office staff is wonderful and are always available to answer my questions. I have used other home care companies in he past and FirstLight Home Care is by far the best one we have found!!
