I arrived in ambulance...during state of emergecy...during blizzard as I fell and slip on snow/turn...ice.... EMT guys were good and everyone especially thank the radiologist took time and effort so I wouldnt feel the pain.... Dr. Was good to and gave me prescription and released me......really? Had back injury before..and new this is severe one...had no ride..back to my truck stop..as I am trucker.... However, they were going to find the cab..for me to ride back....at blizzard? Well the front desk rectionist called police department to get help..but had to wait..I saw young couple just checking out..as I Walked behind them with pain shooting down my leg...called them..asked them if they could give me ride back to truck stop at Toms brook....the man replied..right away...sure..and I got a ride..back...glad there are still people..helping strangers... But...problem is....here I am..vomitting..felt sick..as I made to the truck....called the hospital back and asked ER DR...told me its just reaction to meds....so it seems..felt sleep...woke up with sharp pain as my back muscle went to spasm.... Med..just have 2 pill of motrin....and no..prescription med..hospital farmacy was closed and ofcourse most of stores too....but..I dont know any..nor way to get the prescription... Pain..and live and slicing my nervous...and lives I lay on my bunk....flashes of thoughts go by... EMT..guy told me back about 7 years this spot I was...had found dead trucker..was there for 3 days finally..company called the truck stop to chk on him....wow..... I wanted to be admitted to hospital at least the storm was over and for me to have enough meds...but....oh well.... So....what now...?

I would give this place zero stars if I could. My Doctor here constantly tells me to put down my phone when sometimes I have unavoidable calls from the office. Then proceeds to charge me for the hour after talking for 30 mins with the solution always the same. Same Dosage of medication. Every. Time. Which I have no problem with, However I find it unnecessary that she insists to have me come back every 3 weeks to see her and wont fill my scripts further than that! currently looking for new doctor! Stayed the night once about a year ago. This wasnt a horrible experience. It was going quite well everyone was friendly I was thanking everyone for their help, Then After the nurses think I am asleep In the middle of the night I can hear them right out insulting me. So I decided to call the nurse on it and she turned bright red and attempted to deny it so I repeated her exact words and she apologized. I left right after that. Poor Treatment, Not a comfortable place to stay, They want your money. Not your health.

Youd be hard-pressed to find a perfect hospital in this country and this one certainly has its share of shortcomings, but I wouldnt say Shenandoah is anywhere near "notorious" - the previous reviewer seems to exist to bash random businesses. I have been treated here before on several occasions as well as have numerous family members and we have all received adequate medical care from a friendly staff. Shenandoah is what you would expect from a small community hospital - there are larger and more modern facilities in Harrisonburg or Winchester.

My son and I were traveling and were extremely fortunate that Shenandoah Memorial was nearby when we needed assistance. The size of the hospital had no bearing on the quality of service that we received. Their skills are superior to any metro hospital for their scope of practice. The staff was kind, courteous, and efficient far beyond what I have experienced in "big city" hospitals. I regret that I can only give them a 3.

I was well cared for after a late night fall. Nurse Niki, Justin in Radiology were great. Dr. Baksh did a good job EXCEPT that he sent me home with completely inadequate pain meds, so Ive been in agony for days. Turns out this is their "policy" regardless of the patients needs. Thats very upsetting.

Showed up late after an incident left me with a couple fractured ribs. Everyone we dealt with (front desk, nurses, the doctor, x-ray techs) was great. They were all polite and genuine and they did their best to get me the help I needed quickly on what seemed like a busy night.

Those bastards are thieves cursed and almost killed me in the hospital for bad started and then charged me the bad work out the money and kept the money from my taxes

HANDS DOWN... THE BEST! I am from NYC and I have never gone to the emergency room and got out in under an hour.... The service was impeccable !
