How to put this nicely, You could not pay me to go back here, even if I was dying!!! I delivered my baby at Warren Memorial 3 months ago, It was the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!!! The staff/nurses/ and doctor on call were incredibly nasty. First, It seemed none of the nurses and doctors talked to one another and knew what the heck was going on. They were all extremely dysfunctional. Secondly, When I came to the hospital, the nurse said my water hadnt broke. I explained that yes it had and was still running down my legs and then my mucus plug went. She ignored me and was about to send me back home and told me to go pee in a cup. When I went to the bathroom, I called her in there and said i need a mop because like I told you my water broke. The nurse looks at the mess on the floor and goes, oh let me retest that fluid, that does look like amniotic fluid. The test was postive, and my water had broken. I had to do her job for her, while I was in labor!!!!! Thirdly, The nighttime nurse (who happens to be the same nurse who checked me in) was horrible, when it came to breastfeeding, it was her way or the highway...even though her way didnt work for me and the daytime nurse had found a way to make breastfeeding work somewhat. The nurse constantly put me down, and even came into my room around 2am to tell me my baby had lost too much weight and i needed to supplement with formula because i was failing at breastfeeding. And if I didnt my baby would on a IV and stuck in the hospital for 10 more days. She freaked me out, and I was already in a mentally bad head space, considering I had just a bad delivery. The next morning when the pediatrician came by, I told him and asked him about my baby and the weight issue, he said he didnt understand why the nurse would do such a thing because your baby is fine and is suppose to drop some weight at first. She was truly nasty through my entire visit, Im still mentally trying to get my sanity back from that awful experience. The doctor on call, Dr. Mike, first didnt seem to want to be there nor did he follow any of my wishes. He judged me by my looks, profiling me and I couldnt get out of there fast enough. He immediately wanted to put me on antidepressants as a "caution". Which is strange, do you put every woman whos hormones are going whack on meds, the answer is no. He pushed me to a c-section I was told I would see my baby in 20 minutes, which ended up being 12hrs later. So I had to wait in my room while my husband stayed with the baby. When I asked to see her, They wouldnt take me and my husband sent me pictures. Also, I had signed papers months in advance to get my tubes tied if I ended up in c-section, The doctor chickened out and didnt perform the surgery. So, I had to go back 2 weeks later to get it done. I dont have a kind word to say about this Doctor, and I really would like to know where these people got their medical licence and CNAS from!?!?!?! The whole experience has left me uncomfortable, and stressed beyond belief. PLEASE PLEASE!!!! be careful if you have to come to this hospital....I highly Recommend against it!!!

You could not pay me to ever step foot in this hospital ever again. This morning, my 11 month old daughter had surgery at Warren Memorial Hospital. The anesthesiologist and the staff nurse were SO rude, abrupt, and disrespectful to us. My child and my wishes for my child did not come first in any aspect. They denied every request I had to help ease any trauma she may experience. Both the nurse and the anesthesiologist repeatedly made comments about my decisions as a parent, stating they have never been approached with questions such as mine and dismissing any of my concerns with haste. They placed so much unneeded stress on me this morning that I was in tears. They told me numerous times I could cancel and go elsewhere and if the circumstances were different we would have. Warning to all moms and dads-go to Fauquier Hospital-do NOT waste your time at this hospital. Your child will not be loved and cared for here, your wishes and concerns will not be validated or even heard. Its not that the anesthesiologist and the RN were uncapable of compassion, because as soon as we were committed to the procedure the way they wanted, they choose to flip a switch. It is unfair to blanket the whole staff, there were a couple warm faces and reassurance from other staff members, however, any nice gesture was overshawdowed by the people in charges my way or the highway attitude. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!! PLEASE take your child elsewhere.

This hospital has a very dysfunctional staff. As a patient March 8-9, 2012, I was victimized by arguments between staffs which left me waiting for over 4 hours for very critical procedures. The staff later alleged “computer glitches” as the cause but during the 4 hour delay, no staff member would talk to me about the ongoing delays and no one was monitoring “the computers”. I was “parked” and abandoned in my bed in the corridor with no one in charge. At approximately 4:00 AM I was rudely awakened and relocated from the ICU to another room without explanation. The staff refused to explain how I could get copies of my tests. I finally walked out without finishing critical tests and without being discharged. The staff attempted to bribe me with a “gift certificate” as compensation for their having recklessly endangered my health!

If I could leave no stars I would. I visited this hospital in severe pain and discomfort with a fever and the feeling of my throat closing. I was told to sit and wait in which I did for 4 hours while I shivered and cried in the waiting room. After asking for just an estimate of how much longer I would have to wait, the extremely desensitized nurse said "nope I dont know", when I broke down crying and said I was leaving all she said was "oh are you going home?". The next day I went to my primary care doctor and was treated with steroids for a viral infection. Thank you so much for the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital.

We had family members come and go from this hospital over the years and later I worked there before leaving the area. If I had to do it over again I would take family members to Winchester Medical Center. Warren doesnt get the funds they need from their affiliates. Staff is overworked and at times/situations under paid. Some great people there but also some who have immediate family working in other departments and get special treatment (like not having to wear required clothing, break appropriate and schedule advantages. Aides using cell phones and discussing patients is a problem. Building and equipment problems constant.

For the past two and a half years, the doctors and staff at Warren Memorial Hospital have ministered to, or treated, my mother-in-law on at least three occasions, most recently in June or July, 2016. She was admitted then, but since passed away on December 24, 2016 at home under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice. Her final months were eased greatly by the care administered by especially Dr. John W. Kerns, social workers, patient care coordinators, nurses and aides. I thank you for your patient-oriented care, and the time and effort you all expended making her final months as comfortable and pain-free as possible.
