This is a very very bad hospital. I was born in it. I am now 20 years old and have no clue how they even delivered me! This hospital doesnt even deserve one star. The doctor was very rude. He neglected everything I had to say. I came in with a possible ankle fracture. I tried explaining to him where the pain was and what happened in a little bit of detail. He didnt care where the pain was and what was wrong. They basically pushed me out of the door. As I said I was born in this hospital over 20 years ago now. I have to take 1000 mg of ibuprofen to get rid of my migraines Ive had for 15 years. Besides having no interest in my pain or fixing it he would talk over me when I was trying to tell him what was wrong. The doctor accused me of lying. My junior year of high school I fell up a set of bleachers at a local football game. They had to call the Rescue Squad to take me out of the game when it was raining. I busted my right knee and my shin. No ankle. None. Just two places in my shin and a place in my knee that got hurt On my right leg. He asked me if I had ever had an injury on my ankle. I told him no. He called me a liar and after I told him no fall of 2012 I hurt my shin and knee. I was once again called a lier and neglected of someone who would listen to my pain. I left the hospital crying because they did not help me what so ever. They put me in more pain than I came in with! He tried to push me out of the door. After repeatedly telling him I came in because I hurt so bad I couldnt walk. He then tries to make me walk out of the hospital. No crutches. Even though I came in because I couldnt walk. The area of pain was not even X-rayed. I fell gathering firewood in the dark camping and they looked at me like yeah right youre just trying to get drugs. They didnt care for my injury and then accused me of being a lier and a drug addict. They pushed me around from Information to vitals room to X-ray to a room where they didnt listen to me in the first place and had me leave. My total time in the hospital equaled 20 minutes. They X-rayed the wrong area! Within 20 minutes from arriving at the ER they handed me papers and pushed me out of the hospital. I felt with my appearance as a tattoo artist with all of my tattoos and blue hair. I should not be treated like a drug addict because of my life occupation. They helped me none. Id rather chance of dying on the way to the hospital in Cumberland Maryland or Morgantown West Virginia than going back to this hospital.

Apparently theres a Dr. Keyser there who thinks its funny to arbitrarily deny a dying cancer patient Hospice care and access to other medical equipment as well as inpatient rehab. She literally said and possibly falsified paperwork saying this patient is ineligible to apply for Hospice even though she is dying from late stage cancer among many other issues. So if you come in contact with this ignorant mean spirited individual, I would advise demanding another physician who actually has an ounce of compassion. Or at least tell this prick to their face that they have no business practicing medicine... So far I have been refused any kind of rational or reasonable explanation for this nonsense, and Im not holding my breath to receive one in the future. Perhaps a call from my attorney will change their tune. Also, there is some sort of power play/internal drama going on involving revoking privileges from the doctors at Mt. Laurel clinic (which is a federally funded clinic), which is is leading to patients being caught in the middle, and standards of care being ignored because these narcissistic jerk cant get their act together enough to serve their community. I dont know all the details of this but I do know that it is affecting patient care and is making a lot of these doctors and administrators look like complete assholes.

Everytime I have been to what was Garrett Memorial, they have been helpful, knowledgable in the latest techniques, and always courteous. My husband had rotator cuff surgery there a few months ago and the cold water buffer wasnt working correctly, they gave him a new one no questions asked, and even called the next day to see if everything was ok or if he needed anything. Both of my daughters were born at Garrett (my oldest is 26 my youngest is 24). The Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, hospital staff, and lab techs all work together to make peoples bad days better.

All the nurses are rude and talk down to you!! I understand that its a hospital and if you have to go, you have to go, but I would avoid at all costs. Terrible nurses!! Even the head nurse and thats whats really sad!
