Expensive $$$$.$$ and extremely poor customer service. Vet that I saw ((I do not remember her name - has red hair & nose ring)). Made appointment first visit and had to wait 1/2 hour (called an emergency) before being seen. She examined the dog, speaking baby talk the whole time and referring to her as "sweet pea" - annoying. The vet ascertained that other than the wounds the dog appeared very healthy, and asked me what I feed her. I explained shes on a diet of raw food, and the vet responds with, cheetos and pizza? If anyone has ever taken an animal to the vet, one knows already that adrenelyne is in a peak state. I answered "no" meat, veggies...fruit. Vet went into how dangerous that is and to feed dry dog food instead, and offered me the choices in the store. Anyway, the first trip to the vet around 600.00 due to surgery involved, plus meds, and I left with my dog in a Elizabeth Collar (Cone) on her. 2nd trip to the vet because the meds they chose were not working and swelling had increased. Originally, before they had prescribed meds I asked Vet Asst for Clavamox because I knew they worked best for my dog. Vet Asst said, no, were going to give you (do not remember name of drug) but supposingly it was the higher more potent new drug and therefore based upon dogs condition it would be best. So, when I returned for second visit and explained how drug was not working Vet Asst says, oh its because drug is not as strong as Clavamox. When I ask the Vet Asst if it was her I had originally talked to regarding the higher more potent drug, she immediately denies it, and after telling her that she is the only Vet Asst I have talked to she admits to making a mistake. Now I have had to pay for a drug I did not want, and am paying for the right drug -($300.00). 3rd visit: Dog gets out of CONE and chews stitches out in the middle of night, I take the dog in and the Vet grills me on how I could let this happen, I told her it was in the middle of the night, I was sleeping. (I had put the dog back into the cone the same way the Asst had put it on) and the Vet went off on me that it was not on correctly and took off with the dog, wanting to clean everything up with more anesthetics (600.00) and I said,no. Clean it, leave it open (it still had the most important stitch still in), and I will keep it clean. I left paying another 200.00. I honestly disliked going there, but felt since I had started treatment I should continue to the end. Mistake No. 2. I think this Vet has a heart for animals and not people, at least that was the impression I got the whole time I was in her presence. People pay, animals do not. NIGHTMARE INCIDENT AND SOLUTION

Update: The doctor called and explained to me there were some misunderstanding. Her message was wrongly interpreted by the assistant. She apologized for that. I am not very convinced, but she did apologized, so I decided to increase the review to two stars. [orginal] Their doctors dont even care their patients. My dog has been with Lynnwood Banfield for a couple years, then we switched to Everett Banfield since it was open. We had essential wellness plan at first, then upgraded to Active Prevention last year. We brought our dog in for physical exam twice a year. Overall, it was not a bad experience. I do notice them constantly changing staff. Recently my dog has been drinking a a lot and urinate a lot more so we want to do a blood test, because we dont have any quota left for blood test with current plan. They asked us to upgrade to Special Care plan to pay less for the blood test (but pay more every month for the plan) , so we did. The blood test result was not conclusive, so they recommended us to do a ultrasound (about 250), and we did. The result come back indicating there were some mass around the anal sack and sub lumbar area, spleen and liver. But they dont perform fine needle aspirate, so we had to find another place to do the procedure and another blood test (about $850). The test came back indicating cancer. At this point we have to find a oncologist to discuss treatment options. So we found an oncologist in Lake City, but her schedule was booked up for 10 days. However, the oncologist provides phone consultation to vets, which will be much faster. So I contacted Everett Banfield to try to have my dogs regular vet to contact the oncologist for a phone consultation. The answer I got from the vet is "There is no point to do it ( phone consultation ) because we (Banfield) wont be the one providing long term care". At that moment, I realize how much they care about their patients. Everett Banfield, Dr. Miller, right at the moment, your patient really needed you for a quick phone consultation for possible cancer treatment options, you abandoned him. Dont call yourself a doctor because you dont deserve that title. Are all patients just dollar signs to you?

Inside Petsmart - Not a great experience. The staff was friendly and the vet and her assistant were excellent. Id rate them 5 stars based on their kindness and being knowledgeable and giving, in terms of answering my questions. Unfortunately, I found them via a Facebook ad for a free 1st vet visit and when I called, I told them I have 2 kittens and they said itd be no problem using the coupon for both cats. After my appointment, the vet assistant said I have to pay for an appointment because the coupon only covered one. What was even more frustrating, was when I made the appointment, I told the lady that I had them fixed 2 weeks prior and needed their booster shots done that another place told me should be done 2-3 weeks after. She said they could do that at the same time. Then the vet said they dont do them until 3 weeks there. So I paid for a vet visit, couldnt get the boosters done, and they tried to sell me a "wellness plan" that costs over $500 a year for my 2 cats. 2 stars because the vet was great. Lastly, when I spoke with them, no one mentioned that theyre located inside Petsmart. My 5 month old kittens have only once been to a shelter, when they were fixed. Going to the very back of a loud pet store was more stressful for them then I cared for this early on... Needless to say, Im not going to come in every week because their phone people arent trained properly on what their vets actually do and dont do. Total waste of my time and money; I wont be back.

We took our 2 year old cat in that I raised from a newborn because she had been abandoned by her mother, she had stopped eating and drinking and just wanted to lay down in one spot, she lost her excitement and lost weight and just seemed very ill. She turned out to have feline leukemia and I was surprised and saddened because I knew there was no rememdy for her. The only thing I could do was have her euthinized to put her out of her misery. The doctor and tech were very sympethetic and comforting. Yes, it is a little costly, but so is pretty much every vet, and I have been to many. We got a card in the mail from them that everyone signed and wrote little notes about how sorry they were about our cat, that is just the kindest thing. I recomend the Everett Banfield.
