Cant say enough great things about Tacoma Cat Hospital. Its in a strip mall in Fircrest, so it has plenty of parking and its in a good area so Im not afraid to get out of the car by myself. Friendly staff - the receptionist gave me a tour of the entire clinic, and I was able to meet Dr Smith in his office and talk to him before scheduling an appt. Appointments are quick to get. My last vet gave me horrible guilt trips if I didnt spend $$$ for every possible treatment on every visit. Dr. Smith is no-pressure on everything we talked about. My cat needed blood work, he called me on my cell phone the very next day (a Saturday) to give me the results. Plus, his fees are maybe half what I was paying before. Take your cats here, you wont be sorry!

the front desk woman looked so bored with her life no friendly vibe or anything when i came in. no conversation while i waited around... had to pay for the exam fee around $55 i believe. plus flea meds it totalled around 80 or so... vet said my cat would heal on her own so nothing was done during the appotinement...didnt push medication which i did appreciate but made a comment about my cat looking like a typical "alleycat"... my cat is a beautiful light gray short hair cat also very clean and soft i was taken back by that but then he said something along the lines of he is a "cat racist" ...yeah apparently dude. i cant make this stuff up. probably wont be back. i prefer a warmer environment.

Cat Whisperers work here. For about 15 years my animals have been receiving the unique, intuitive, and exceptional care we all wish for from a vet. Dr. Smith is that vet. Listen to his pod cast. Ive never been so pleased with a veterinarian in my life. He and his staff have a unique rapport with cats of all backgrounds including special needs pets. My animals go from anxious to relaxed in their care. The staff is exceptional and will go out of their way to answer each and every question whether in person or on the phone. No question is unimportant to them. They cant be beat! Your cats might not be able to say "Thank you." But, their behavior will ,if you choose these people to care for them.

First, they specialize only in cats. Secondly, I like the no nonsense approach to cat care. All options are explained so the cats person can make good decisions for the cats situation. They dont push expensive tests & treatments but you can decide to if you want to go there. Dr. Smith answered all my questions and helped my cat through a tough situation without breaking my bank account. He is also into compiling information on diffucult to treat conditions from cat owners (cat health records research with owner input), compiling that info into advice that could help other cat owners. The entire staff there is friendly and deeply caring for their patients.

Very friendly! Ive been here many times with my own and cat and a fostering program to help cats find a good home. They go above and beyond to help you and your furry friend. I would recommend this place to any cat owner. They do also have books and toys for people who has small kids to place with as well and a bathroom if needed. They do have food here that a times they recommend to cats if needed and cute toys to buy. So again I trust this place and if you ever have to leave your cat they are in safe hands. They dont just help them but take care of them, play with them and show affection.

I have been taking my 3 cats to Tacoma Cat Hospital for the past 5 years. Dr. Smith is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. One of my cats came down with a mysterious illness and left untreated we would have lost him. He received top notch treatment and ended up in the hospital for several days but made a full recovery. After my bill came I could not believe how reasonable the charges were for all of the time that he spent in the hospital. I would highly recommend Tacoma Cat Hospital to any cat owner!

They take great care of my cats! I have been taking my cats for checkups with them for a little over a year. One of my cats had to have eye surgery for Entropion. Before the surgery the issue and costs where honestly and accurately presented to me. The surgery went really well and has worked out great for my cat. Its always been fairly easy for me to arrange appointments with them and move things around a bit. I would recommend Tacoma Cat Hospital to everyone!

Dr. Craig Smith is the best. Ive taken my cats there for 20 years. I trust him completely. He never tries to push unnecessary tests or treatments, and he always takes the particular cats temperament/personality into consideration when suggesting treatment. Hes really about helping you ensure your cat has a great quality of life. Hes a kind man who really knows cats, and I recommend him completely!

Dr Smith has taken care of several of my kitties over the last year and a half. He is kind, intelligent, and provides top notch care for your furry family members. On top of that, they are quick to get your kitty in to be seen if its urgent, and they are reasonably priced! I have 5 kitties and I wouldnt take them anywhere else for their veterinary care!

The vet is very good here and very nice. Their prices are really good too. My cat had to spend the night there and they only charged us like $10 where thats normally like $50 at many vets. The lady at the front desk is usually confused though. She often gives us something different from what the very says. But if you pay attention it should be fine.

I highly recommend the Cat Hospital for their welcome and care which put both our cat and myself at ease. They were responsive and Dr. Smith extended himself to keep me informed of test results and what to expect for the future. They are part of the family wellbeing as long as we have our cat. The staff is wonderful! The vets are extremely knowledgeable! I never want to take my cats anywhere else! They have even been able to take me same day/ next day when needed which I appreciate!! They treat my cats like they are their own and I love that!

We have been bringing our cats here for quite a few years. Dr. Smith is awesome. He loves cats, very knowledgeable, is down to earth/practical, but wont push you to do something youre not sure about or cant afford. The staff is great, too!
