I hadnt seen a dentist in ten years. I know, bad me for not going to a dentist in that long! Im absolutely terrified of dentist and have steered clear.. Until one of my molars chipped and I needed a root canal. The moment I walked into the office I was treated so kindly and when they realized how nervous I was they instantly comforted me. When I was called back the dental assistant was amazing! So funny, kind and put me at ease and let me know that she wouldnt leave my side and that I was in good hands. Then my dentist came in. Dr. Inaba. He was so soft spoken and kind and really listened to my fears including how embarrassed I was about having a chipped molar and lack of dental care for all those years. He explained everything to me in a way wasnt scary like it normally is for me. I wasnt judged once and I wasnt cheated out of money from un-needed care which is crucial since I dont have dental insurance. When I realized I needed a root canal I was terrified. Ive never had one before and it was bad enough I was at the dentist to begin with. But I was so at ease that I decided to get it that day. I started off with laughing gas but I ended up becoming so calm that I didnt want it anymore. I was still nervous but I was in good hands. Not only is he extremely skilled at what he does but the entire clinic is so kind and welcoming. If youre scared like I am, this is the place to go. And their prices cannot be beat in my opinion. They are full of compassion which some dentists lack these days. Youre treated as an individual with real feelings, fears and emotions and it shows the second you walk in.

This place really needs to be more specific about its services. You hear dentist, you expect certain things, namely your teeth get cleaned and a dentist looks in your mouth. That was what we expected when we made a "new patient appointment." But like an Aspen time-share presentation, the new patient appointment is nothing but a lot of hype and self-promotion with worthless, expensive add ons. We were told that they took a set of X-rays (normal and totally legit for a new dentist) as well as some 3-D imaging of every tooth (...okay, youve got a toy and you like to play with it, I can roll with that). But if you go in expecting your 6 month checkup (you know, where they put toothpaste in your mouth), as well as the new patient deal, you can go pound sand. After getting to our appointment, we expressed puzzlement that we werent getting a cleaning. Thats when we were told that this was just x-rays and pictures, after which we could come in for a "patient plan consult," AFTER which, on our 3rd appointment, we could get a cleaning. After saying we really wanted our cleaning done since itd been a while since we could get to a dentist, and lets hold off on all the imaging for later, we were invited by the dentist to leave and not come back. While he couldve come in and said that he was more about restorations and major dental work and less about family dentistry and so sorry but we werent in his normal patient demographic, he acted like we were vacuum cleaner salesmen and could we please get the hell out of his shiny marbled office and stop wasting his time.

Meridian Dental Clinic used to be called Kent Family Dentistry back in the 80s. Thats when I started trusting my mouth to Dr. Mark V. Walker. Over the years I have always been greeted with happiness and professionalism. And not the stuffy office type, but with humor when humor was appropriate. Mark has cultivated an environment that not only invites, but offers the best of care as well. His staff is highly educated, friendly, professional, genuinely caring, and they laugh at my jokes. Thats a plus. It is always a nice experience for me when I go in for a visit. One day, Mark and his staff took me in and ended up spending more time in my mouth than was expected. That was an unscheduled root canal. I never felt like they were rushed and I felt bad for the people in line that had to wait. The changing of everybodys morning was transparent to me but I knew what I had caused and was so appreciative of the service received. Thank you MDC for who you are and all that you have done for me. Like most people, I do not enjoy the dentist. Nothing personal against the doctors & dental hygienists, I just get really claustrophobic with instruments and hands so close to my face, and feel trapped. While I do not enjoy the experience, the staff at Meridian Dental Clinic ALWAYS go above & beyond to make sure I am comfortable, and feel safe in their clinic. Avoiding the dentist for so long, I had considerable work that needed to be done. From the moment I walk in an am greeted by staff, until I leave, I feel welcomed. I dont feel like "just another paranoid patient" to the staff, they always know my name, greet me personally, and make sure I know what will be happening in order to ease my anxiety. And after having a routine cleaning and finding no cavities, I feel that the hygienist is just as excited as I am :) Even though there are many dental offices located much closer to me than MDC, I will continue to battle traffic and crazy drivers in order to keep going there - theyre just THAT awesome.

Hello My name is Venessa M, and I have too say that Dentist (Mark) & his Son (Josh) are the most professional kind patience dentist that I have every had an experience with. I first met Dr. (Mark) last year when I needed an emergency procedure done and with no hesitation his staff scheduled me in that same day and he re-solved my issue. I then recently had experience an new emergency situation , Where I needed 2-root canals as well as 2 crowns,This is where I met DR (JOSH-(DENTIST) and he is just as caring & professional than any dentist that I have dealt with.Not to mention very patient and even kind of funny. The Meridian Clinic Staff are a joy to talk too and they make you feel so relaxed and at ease not too mention that you feel like you are at home or close to be home. I RECOMMEND ANYONE THAT NEEDS SOME DENTAL WORK COMPLETE TO PLEASE VISIT THE MERIDiAN CLINIC IN KENT WA OFF CENTRAL /SMITH I PROMISE YOU , YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT THESE ARE THE BEST DENTIST AROUND KENT AREA !!!!!!!!

I come here for all of my dental needs. Ive unfortunatley had to have a root canal and they made sure I was comfortable and it went smoothly with NO PAIN! I have a very eccentric personality and enjoy our conversations. I have my teeth cleaning with Molly every six months and she remembers everything I ever tell her! She makes sure I am taking care of my teeth and is great at her job. Dr. Steve is my Dentist and he is very personable and knows what he is talking about. He has a lot of experience and I can tell that he does his job with pride. Laura (sp*) at the front desk always greets me with a smile and never fails to be in a positive mood ! This is my dental family and I plan on coming to them for my dental needs even if I move to another city! They make my visit worth while and make it easy to schedule my appointments with them. .
