Ive been seeing Dr. Collyer at Modern Dermatology for just less than a year now. He is incredibly professional and thorough, and is by far my favorite dermatologist of 4-5 others I have seen in the past. His medical assistant, Danielle, is also professional, helpful, and understanding. They make a great team and there is no doubt excellent patient care is their top priority. Every time Ive arrived for an appointment I have been taken back on time and have not waited more than a few minutes for Dr. Collyer to arrive. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dermatologist in Seattle. My best friend is a patient of Dr. Rogers and has also had a great experience. When I have interacted with Dr. Rogers briefly in the office she has always seemed friendly and professional. The scheduling waits and interactions with some front office staff leave something to be desired. I believe the doctors are aware of this and working to improve it any way they can. The practice is still relatively new and sometimes this can take a bit to figure out. I did have to wait for my new patient appointment, but I am happy I did because this has been my favorite dermatology experience by far. Thanks for the hard work, Dr. Collyer, Dr. Rogers, and Danielle!

Modern, clean, efficient, professional and easily accessible via transit. I was escorted into the exam room promptly at my scheduled appointment time, 9:20, by a friendly technician who then quickly organized for surgery. Dr. Collyer entered 2 minutes later. James is warm, knowledgeable, competent and enjoys what he does. The minor procedure was painless, confidently executed, neatly sutured/dressed. Having had several procedures done here already, I am thoroughly impressed with their interaction and attention to patient comfort/care. Not only have I healed up beautifully, but their appointment reminders (via automated text) and quick billing to my insurance were a definite plus. They carry quality products and were helpful in suggesting to this skin-care novice, "bottom line" creams for prophylactic skin cancer protection and health. Plan ahead when scheduling an appointment. Their practice, in the bustling area of SLU/Amazon, seems to keep them fully booked. They are in the process of adding a 3rd physician.

I am an established patient, and they are that busy because they are that good! I dont think people should give a bad review just because they cant get in "right now" and they have never been seen there. If you are fortunate to get an appointment two months out, take it and get established as a patient. Chances are youve had that mole several months already. Ive seen both Dr. Rogers and Dr. Collyer and think they are both wonderful! As someone who had severe sun damage in childhood and has ongoing skin cancer issues, I am glad that my dermatologists are ethical enough to ensure my medical care is not interrupted by the "right now" crowd. I like the variety of skin cancer treatments they offer so I am not always being cut on. Ive had Mohs, chemo injections and laser treatment here. When you are trying to save your nose its a good thing.

I have been a patient of Dr Collyers for several years. He is a terrific doctor; smart, kind, and patient. His new clinic is clean and modern and the staff is super friendly. I have been to the clinic several times and have had only good experiences. I am baffled by the bad reviews. Some people expect the world to revolve around them. Guess what? It doesnt. And about the long wait time for new patients wanting an appointment. I understand that they have added a new MD to the practice, but be aware that this is a private practice not affiliated with a major hospital. If you need an appointment immediately, go to an urgent care center or call one of the corporate giants who have many dermatologists on staff. Dont trash this clinic just because you didnt get an appointment when you wanted one.

I went for a skin cancer screening last year. The office is very modern and sterile and Dr. Rogers was not friendly at all but not rude. It seemed like she knew what she was doing. I wanted to get another screening because I have a couple moles I want checked and they cant get me in for two months. For a simple, short appointment. There are plenty of good dermatologists out there so unless you always know way in advance about any skin issues youre going to have, I dont recommend this place.

Modern Dermatology is located in a new office and is easily accessible. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the service is excellent from beginning to end. I also like the fact that the office carries a large selection of the best available products for the skin. I am a patient of Dr. Collyer and he has seen me for different issues, and he also performed several surgical procedures on me as well; fantastic results. I highly recommend Modern Dermatology.

Got a chance to be flexible on appointment and was able to sneak in 2 weeks away from the day I called. JAMES COLLYER, MD is the man. When the bill came and to my surprise was large, Jess at the front desk helped me work through it--- shes AMAZING. She explained options and was friendly. She is the reason I will come back again!

The receptionists and nurses are by far the most condescending woman I have ever dealt with. It is so sad that I completely was turned off by this clinic before even stepping foot into it. Extremely sad for them. They need to be a little more understanding and considerate as well as remembering where their money comes from.

I was excited to try this place but called today (5/9) and the first available appointment is in August. 3 months out for new patients is ridiculous.

Wait for three months to get a recurring skin cancer looked because I am a "new patient"? Really? Hippocratic oath much? No thanks.

They book out a long way because they are really great at what they do! Best in town for real skin issues!

Its impossible to get in and see them. They are booked out and dont let new patients in for months.
