Today was a terrible day as my face is all broken out and I used the last of my cyst fixer cream. I lost my job last year and no luck is my middle name so I had no choice but a state insurance plan that no one will take. My last resort this morning was to call Dermatology and Allergy and a man name Chuck answered. He was very nice but could not answer my question if I could schedule an appt with my plan? He transferred me to the Office Mgr as he joked she had all the answers and he was right- SHE WAS AWESOME! She was warm and had a calming voice as she could tell I was having a bad day. I guess apple health is not popular but I was not made to feel bad I had this plan. In fact she took the time to explain my options, looked up my plan as I lost my card and had no idea what my numbers were and gave um to me? She put me on hold, called and found a provider who took my plan and came back to me in a jigger of a second with all the info!! I barely had time to light up my cigarette when she cheerfully gave me a name and number of a place I could go to and told me to have a nice day. So...when I am back on my feet and have a plan they can see I will be calling Chuck and Deanna again as it made my day to find someone who really cared for my situation.

Dermatology & Allergy Specialists of Olympia would get ZERO stars if possible and Ive never even stepped in the door. The horrible customer service and long waits (4 months) for appointments that get cancelled 2 weeks prior to the appointment for basically having too much insurance is inexcusable for any reason, but if you are unfortunate enough to actually complete the appointment process, steer clear of the soulless office manager Deanna who takes it upon herself to cancel appointments that patients have been waiting months to get because of too much insurance....or rather good and bad insurance. Ill be sure to have my melanoma follow up just wait a bit longer while I cancel one insurance, keep another and then try to schedule another appointment, which Deanna said I would have to wait another four months to get in....Ill pass thanks. Id rather drive to Seattle than deal with that blackhole of compassion.

Dr. Elm and staff are friendly, professional and patient! As someone with concerns about more skin cancer, he gave me a thorough skin check, and a small bump I thought was scarring turned out to be a large basal cell. He was not rushed, didnt brush off any questions, and I left feeling very confident. His demeanor is confident, not cocky; patient, but not bored. I will be back to Dr.Elm without reserve. My urgent skin cancers were benign and the spot Id brushed off was a serious spot. His attention to my anxiety about cancer was met with good listening and allayed that day. Thanks !

I received excellent service. When I arrived on time everyone was ready for me. After a thorough exam I had a small biopsy done without another appointment. Everyone was friendly and professional.

lazy staff and arrogant front office "so-call" manager should be replaced; bad customer service and I m sure the doctors are not aware of it.
