When I walked in the office it was a warm welcome right away. They are all very friendly there. The receptionist immediately spoke to me and took the new patient paperwork that I brought in. She made sure I had filled out everything and signed everything that needed to be signed. The Lady who came and got me was with me through most of the time I was there. She was a very nice lady and answered any questions that I might of had at that time. She took the X-Rays and then got me ready to see the Dentist. The Hygienist came in and checked my gums to see what type of treatment I would need for cleanings. When the Dentist came in he checked over all the X-Rays and discussed what needed to be done for dental work and why it needed to be done. He was also very nice and explained to me my options for a partial denture. He told me I had two options. He told me the options then suggested that the cheaper priced partial denture would be the best choice for me. When I was done with him I went in and saw another person who set up the appointments and helped me figure out a payment plan so that I could make payments on my dental work that I needed done. The whole experience made me feel comfortable and confident that they will take care of all my dental needs with professionalism and treat me like a person not just another patient. I would highly recommend them to others.

I was diagnosed with two cavities (no gum problems) at another dentist, but the visit was a bit odd, so I went here for a second opinion. I saw Dr. Auguste and was told that I had 13 cavities and needed over $3,500 worth of dental work. This included deep cleanings and intensive care for supposed severe periodontitis, despite the lack of swelling or bleeding or tenderness or inflammation in my gums, or loose teeth, or…well, any symptoms, really. And I thought the first dentist was giving me a hard sell. (Just for reference: While my dental record is far from spotless, I have not in 36 years had gingivitis, periodontitis, or anything close to a 13-cavity diagnosis.) I later discovered a Frontline report alleging the sale of unnecessary dental procedures (especially those periodontal cleanings) at the Aspen Dental chain due to corporate pressure. Now, everyone was very nice, superficially, at the Bangor office...but they also werent telling the truth about my dental situation, and if I had trusted them, they would have inflicted a great deal of needless damage to my teeth (and my wallet). If you go here and are presented with a huge treatment plan, please take your X-rays elsewhere and get a second opinion before you move forward.

We are new to the area, and I needed to get my 91-year-old mother into see a dentist quickly since she broke a lower first molar over the weekend and had an abscess on that tooth as well. She was in moderate discomfort, and the jagged tooth edges were cutting into the side of her tongue. I called this office for my mom, as a new patient, on Monday morning. They were very pleasant and accommodating over the phone, and we got in that very same day. The front desk ladies were very friendly, and made us feel welcome. The dental assistant was friendly and compassionate, and very patient with my mom (who is hard of hearing). The dentist was also very pleasant and welcoming. They could not save the tooth, and we agreed to have it removed. The DDS had that tooth out of there very quickly and efficiently, and mom left a very happy customer. We felt the bill was fairly charged for the services rendered. We did not feel like anyone was trying to take advantage of us. We just felt like they were there to do their jobs and help patients to feel better. We will definitely go back there for our dental needs. It was a positive experience for mom and myself.

This experience is for Thomas Fitzpatrick. He went to your Aspen Dental office in Bangor, ME. He received excellent care, x-rays were taken. The doctor did not see any reason at that time for any antibiotic and said that he would get back to Tom with a treatment plan. The pain worsened throughout the week end. There was some blood and pus. The situation was re-evaluated by a local dentist here in Waterville. Tom was put on an antibiotic, and the tooth was extracted by a local surgeon on February 8. Please understand that I would absolutely continue to see any Aspen Dental office for any further dental needs such as a cleaning, treatment for gum disease, or regular check-ups. I was overall pleased with my experience at Aspen Dental. Thank you

Dr. Cindanes and her assistant Darcie is the best team in the practice. They both take the time to make sure that I am comfortable and well taken care of. Dr. C as I call her doesnt beat around the bush she is straight up, and that is what I like about her no fluff. She get the job done quickly and efficiently. Darcie is one of the best dental assistants that I have had the pleasure of working with, and turning 50 this year I have worked with a few dental assistants over the years. I have only been going a little over a year and she took the time to get to know me and I find that important. They appreciate my warped sense of humor and I like seeing them. I am looking forward to finishing this journey of my new smile with this team.

I called Aspen Dental with an emergency need for the extraction of a painful broken molar at 8:30 on Friday morning, May 27. The person on the phone put me on hold, and after several minutes came back; she was polite but she said the earliest that she could get me in was July 11. I carefully explained again that it was an emergency. I was told that I could be wait listed and called in case somebody cancelled an appointment. For the last time, I explained that it was an emergency, to no avail. I do not want to give even one star in this review but I cannot post the review without clicking on a star. I guess the one star represents the fact that the person on the phone was polite and said she was sorry for my pain.

The good: Super polite. Very friendly, and a really painless experience for the cleaning and initial exam. Didnt even have to wait long. The bad: They didnt do their job! I was about to leave the country for a remote job site, and had a crown that I needed checked out as part of the required pre-deployment screening. The dentist at Aspen looked at it, and said it was perfectly fine. Three weeks later, that crown failed completely, and I had to have the entire tooth pulled in Chile.

I hadnt been to the dentist in over a decade, therefore requiring ample work to be done. Theres rarely a time you have to wait for more than 10 minutes to be called back and again when youve been brought to the back before the work begins. The staff is knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and understanding of the process. If my old experiences w/dental hygiene had gone this smoothly and painlessly, I would have never stopped going!
