My goodness I love this office. Cheerful, helpful, super professional ladies. Dr. Dodd is a friendly, funny lady that puts you right at ease, with a real world practicality and sensible outlook to your long term vision health and day to day eye comfort. Eye doctor visits can sometimes involve long, boring, and uncomfortable appointments, but they really do their best here to make you as comfortable as possible. The doctor doesnt compromise on best practices and goes out of her way to ensure you get the vision exam you need even if it involves a couple of visits. That being said, I get the impression she respects my time and works efficiently. Even when the office is extremely busy or well booked, I dont feel like my appointment is rushed, which is important to me. Ultimately, the office staff can be as important as the doctor because you deal so much more with them. Everyone is friendly and helpful from the first call to the time you check out, every time! Another important factor is that Dr. Dodd and the staff is equally wonderful when working with my awkward teenager, anxious first grader, and reluctant spouse. This makes my life way more more pleasant, and I very much appreciate this aspect of the office. The frames selection isnt the biggest Ive ever seen but it certainly has a wide variety of options and frame choices. The ladies are skilled at helping you choose frames and very patient when youre looking at your options. This process takes me an obnoxiously long time, but Ive never felt rushed. Im tough to fit for contacts because my eyes have some dryness and allergy issues, but I was able to try a wide variety and find the PERFECT lenses that I love! The doctor even remembered all my issues and when a new variety came on the market that she thought could work well for me, she suggested the new kind and they were indeed perfect. I really expect a lot from medical professionals, and Im always very happy when my high expectations are met and exceeded. Im happy to recommend this office and Im glad I found them.

The staff is wonderful, the doctors are wonderful; however, the process in receiving a pair of prescription sunglasses was frustrating. After over a month I have been through emails, no return calls and the lab making consistent mistakes in the glasses I had ordered. I came in mid November, place the order in December and as of 01/20/15 did not have the glasses. I am really disappointed as I needed these for a month long trip overseas. Conveying my frustration, I was given a loaner pair of glasses just prior to my trip and notified my original pair were being made. I was notified the lab being used was no longer being used and had a personal e-mail apology from Dr. Tracy Dodd. She had also indicated she had refunded me the price of the glasses and asked via email if she could Fed-Ex me my original pair when complete, keeping both the loaner and the original pair. What was frustrating in the beginning has been resolved beyond expectation.

My husband and I have been going to East Vancouver Eye Clinic for all of our optometry needs for over 5 years now. What is most important is to receive accurate prescriptions, the style of frames, insurance coverage and a price range that suits our lifestyle and we get all that from EVEC and more! When you first walk into East Vancouver Eye Clinic, you will notice the plush new surroundings, the office is lovely. But what will make you keep coming back are the people. Dr Cole, Jack, optical staff, and the entire office will make you feel so welcome. They are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. They genuinely want to help you with your specific optical needs, in a word: they care. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Cole and East Vancouver Eye Clinic, they do it best!

Ive been using the East Vancouver Eye clinic for over 10 years now. Yearly eye exams, updated prescriptions and new glasses. Very professional and personal service. Every appointment I showed up for there was no delay getting into my exam. My exams were very thorough and Dr. Cole was courteous. Both the Dr. and his staff always kept me in the loop of what they were doing and checking for. The facility is clean and well kept. I found the staff knowledgeable the three times I ordered new glasses, and they had some good recommendations when I asked for them. They have a huge display of frames from different manufacturers in the main lobby, so there is plenty to chose from. I expect to be a patient of Dr. Coles for a long time.

Requiring emergency care on a referral from Family Urgent Care Clinic, Dr Gary Cole responded right away took me in as a walk-in first timer and seen me 3 minutes after arriving. A grinder blade fractured while cutting some steal, sending debris directly into my face and embedding a large sliver of steal into my right eye, Dr. Coles professional, calm, composer kept me relaxed and confident in his highly skilled abilities, in moments the metal was removed, the staff and assistant are all professionals his assistant had a bandage in place so fast I didnt know I had one put on. and the follow up care, is personal and interested in results. Thank you to the whole TEAM.

Weve had such an unpleasant experience with Opthamologists in Vancouver for my sons eye care. They all wanted to pigeonhole us into multiple hours of patching per day, recently as much as 5+, which was pure torment for him. We were never told of any other options until we met with Dr. Cole. He did a very thorough exam and listened to all my concerns with understanding instead of making me feel like my sons comfort was a non issue like the other doctors had. Were now looking forward to starting a new therapy regimen that will be so much easier on him and he wont be suffering through it. Thanks Dr. Cole and staff for caring!

I had my first visit to East Vancouver Eye clinic this morning. Over the weekend, I got a particle stuck in my eye and they were able to get me in to see Dr. Cole almost immediately. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming - I felt relaxed and comfortable right away. Dr. Cole is a really nice person. He very polite and friendly, he listens attentively, hes very gentle, he seems to genuinely care, and hes very knowledgable. I was very impressed with him and his entire staff. My husband and I have been going to another clinic in Vancouver, but we will be switching to this clinic from now on!

I had a follow-up visit at East Vancouver Eye this week, and was seen by Dr. Tracy Dodd. I was once again impressed with her knowledge, expertise, and friendliness, and the same goes for the whole staff there. Vision is so critical, and I feel that my vision is in good hands when Im there. Also impressive is that East Vancouver Eye updates their equipment, so the they are always using state of the art equipment. I appreciate their hygienic practices, and clean reception and waiting area. I so appreciate their care and concern for their patients.

This was my first time seeing a new eye doctor in 15 years, so I was a bit nervous. Dr. Dodd eased those feelings immediately. She was friendly and courteous as she learned my story, and brought an obvious passion and expertise to how she explained things to me. Choosing new glasses is always a point of excitement and apprehension for me. The eye wear staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient as they helped me choose new frames. I am very happy with my experience at East Vancouver Eye Clinic, and I love my new glasses!
