Sea-Mar Community Health Center of Vancouver Washington serves many people in the Vancouver area like me. I have been going there frequently for well over a year. I have a number of physical problems stemming from poorly done heart surgery (3 of the 4 bypasses closed up) and my ulnar nerves were crushed on both sides during the surgery so I have not felt 6 of my fingers since 2009, just a constant burning sensation. I was in a state of dismal despair and needed medical treatment. I found no relief until I was assigned Robin Kenning at Sea-Mar. She was able to help me adjust my many medications and to better manage my constant pain. No other doctors were able to help me since the heart surgery and several of the many docs I have had since 2009 prescribed contra-indicated medications that pharmacies refused to honor when I tried to pick them up. This was not the case with Robin Kenning at all. She always paid careful attention to me and helped me to get on a treatment regimen that addressed ALL of my needs. Robin really stepped up in my case because I am on many heart medications and am an insulin resistant diabetic. This presents certain very complex treatment challenges that no other docs could help me manage. One of the best things about Robin is how personable she is. I have been in a constant state of pain since 2009, and this tends to make one irritable at best. I am by no means an easy patient to work with. Robins conduct where I was concerned addressed not only my medical issues but she was able to communicate with me. She made sure that I had a voice in my own care and in a very short time helped me to be on the right medications. I was afraid I was becoming addicted to Percocet, which I had taken every day since 2009 and Robin helped me to get off of the Percocet. In fact, because she got me onto the right medications for the first time in 5 years, I no longer need to take pain medications. This is no small task; I was unable to quit the Percocet on my own after a year of trying. Juggling the many medications I must take to survive is a daunting task in and of itself, but Robin Kenning addressed my issues so effectively that the quality of my life overall has been much improved and I am re-entering the workforce after two years of being unable to work. I owe Robin Kenning a tremendous debt of gratitude, and it is Robin Kenning more than any other single factor that is the underpinning of my 5-Star Yelp review. I thought that Google+ Local deserved to be included, too. I am not on Yelp as often as I should be, but I wrote this review in part because I saw a negative review written about Sea-Mar by Robert D. Once I got past the very poor grammar, I realized that this guy was simply lying. Please do not let that small-minded mans lies influence your judgment. If you are lucky enough to get treatment at Sea-Mar, and even luckier to get Robin, you will be very happy with your care. Sea-Mar (& Robin Kenning) in particular deserve the highest praise not only for their professionalism but also for their compassion and the overall Quality of Care that they deliver to so many of us.

This clinic is the perfect example of the sad fact that unless you can afford private insurance you will get crap care. I made an appt for multiple health issues only to be told after waiting a month for the appt that they will only address 1 issue per visit. Even though they were all related to the same illness, Then i ended up with chronic cysts on my ovaries so they referred me to an ob/gyn which took 8 wks to go through and another month to be seen by the dr. Sadly after I ended up having what was supposed to be a simple lathroscopic surgery (where they cut little 1" incicions and use a camera in 1 hole and the tool to remove it in another hole) the ovary was removed. I was sent home the same day only to end up in severe pain being rushed to the ER. The nurse thought I was in labor because my belly was so swollen I looked 9 months pregnant. It turned out the dr had closed me up and left me bleeding internally and nearly my entire blood supply was in my belly. I was rushed into a 2nd surgery, given alot of blood, completely opened up,(though she never found where i was bleeding from), left in a coma for 5 days in intensive care and she actually wanted to go in a 3rd time! but thankfully the nurse contacted the chief of surgery and he stopped her cuz he said a 3rd operation in 36 hrs would kill me. She left me with 2 hernias and I had to have 2 corrective surgeries cuz when she put my intestines back inside me after pulling them out to try to find where i was bleeding from, she literally put them back leaving them in 3 twists and knots, and I then knew why I was having severe digestive problems, plus she had my bowel in front of my bladder rubbing on my pubic bone. Then another surgery later on to fix 1 of the hernias. So even the drs they refer you to are incompetent. After research I discovered that many of the drs are forced to donate their time to the community health clinics due to a reprimand by the licensing board for some sort of malpractice they are being punished for. This woman nearly killed me, beware of anyone they send you to and do your homework researching them thoroughly. I ended up with 3 additional surgeries to fix what the dr did the 1st time.

THE MOST HORRIBLE AND WORST HOSPITAL IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!! PLEASE someone close this hospital forever they are just ruining peoples life and health and nerves, a lot of people lose their health and time because of their careless work and long waiting. I tried reaching them for 4 days already with my broken arm because urgent care says I need a referral from my provider in order to get a surgery and a cast from orthopedics and I cant reach my hospital or my provider they picked up phone once during 4 days waiting and all they said was we will send a message to medical assistant about my broken arm I ask her when they going to call back because its emergency my arm hurts really bad and you know what she answers me she said I dont know when they will call you back they are too busy and have a lot of patients, she has no idea when they will help me out. really? so I have to be hurt sitting weeks and waiting until they call back and then my arm might get worst and no one from hospital even called me back, And whenever in past I tried to make appointments receptionists and employees that work there dont care about patients, they are all rude and not willing to help out ,why do they even work there if they dont know anything and dont even do their job, please fire them please close the hospital stop letting this worthless hospital ruining peoples health.
