My husband and I have yet to have a positive experience here but keep going back because this is where our insurance covers. The doctors are fine--its the front desk workers that seem completely clueless as to how to effectively do their jobs. EVERY TIME we order contacts we ask the charges be submitted to insurance as this covers the cost and EVERY TIME we go to pick contacts up no one submitted to insurance so then you have to wait and talk to three different people before you get it straightened out. I dont have time for that runaround. The last time I was in I ordered four boxes of contacts, the employees ended up only ordering two boxes instead. Ordered two more boxes (two weeks ago) and a few days later got EIGHT calls to my cell while I was at work and couldnt answer--not a single voicemail was left and some of the calls were one right after the other--weird? So when I called the clinic to see what they wanted the woman just said, "Hmmm... Im not sure, everything in your file looks okay." Fine. So two weeks later still havent heard about my contacts, I call today and theyre in and ready to be picked up. I wasnt aware that was something I HAD TO CALL AND CHECK. Maybe its a super complicated job and Im just not understanding it. However, if you dont want your order/file completely screwed up I suggest you go elsewhere.

Just a Number... I arrived early, only to find out they allowed other people that had appointments scheduled after mine to go in front of me (found this out when I asked about my wait). After 1/2 hour they saw me but ran me through so fast it was apparent I am just a number to this practice. The Dr barely looked at me, he didnt speak directly to me hardly at all and it took repeated asks of the same questions to get answers. When I asked about getting glasses he told me the ones I had on were good enough and I was shuffled out the door w/o a perscription for either one. Now the only pair of contacts I have are the ones he gave me to test, which I find out are only sold by optomitrists (SiH 48). I have called 2 days in a row to get through to someone that can help me get an order for contacts but only get VM. I was recomended to this place by two people, but Ill never go back, even if I do need Lasik some day.

Gf had eye surgery and Had to wait almost 1 hour just for a work excuse which they messed up with the date we called the day before and they said they would have it ready to go the next day needless to say we get there nothing was ready and we waited for about 30 min. Then we get it and its the wrong dates they are not friendly they make bs excuses then we waited another 30 min and I along with the gf were late for work and they didnt care how long it takes af far as the girlfriends experience there was also terrible they were not kind didnt explain the procedure until I showed up and had to ask before they started it they dont give you much info and I would never go there ever. Go somewhere else

Dr. Beeksma is 5 Stars, but she is not the only person here. I agree with the summary of reviews (had the experience of paying out of pocket vs being submitted through insurance) - straightened that out, but that takes time out of the day (unnecessary time). Not a very friendly and helpful vibe from the front desk people. You would think they would be the nicest people in the entire building since they are the first impression you get when you call or visit, but its quite the opposite - it gets better once you get beyond the front desk. Some key things they could get better at, but giving 3 stars vs 1 because of Dr. Beeksma and the staff beyond the front desk.

I had a contact eye exam and bought contacts and glasses. Having bought from WalMart previously, and been looking through glasses with the only clear part towards the bottom, I am quite pleased to say I can see where Im supposed to see through my new glasses from Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic. Also my contacts are great. I have had to twist and spin mine from WalMart and these new ones stay in place right from the start. I have a high amount of astigmatism, so much so that I had to pay extra for lenses in my glasses, and the axis has to be right on. Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic and Dr. Beeksma did it right! Yey!

Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic is the best!!! The service I receive every time I go there is over the top. From the helpful/friendly office staff to the efficient doctors assistants, it is always a place that makes me feel special. I am particular when it comes to doctors. When I am at Chippewa Valley Eye Clinic, I have complete confidence in the wisdom and ability of all the doctors. They have always given excellent-caring treatment to me and my family. I recommend CVEC to all my friends because I know they will be more than satisfied with their professional services!

School starts in less than 2 weeks, we ordered our 2 childrens glasses at the same time, our sons took about a week, and so when another week had gone by with no call about our daughters glasses, I called to be sure nothing had happened, and they assured me the order had been placed, and they would call when they came in, so now my husband called, and sure enough they not only lied, saying the order was placed, but lost the order for my daughter completely. I would go any place else, Im sure they wont be offering a discount fo their ignorant lack of service

The doctors, assistants and front desk staff at CVEC are first rate. Honestly, I have never once had any bad experiences with the front desk staff and I have been going to the clinic 2-3 times a year since 2005. But it is the doctors and their assistants that brings me back. All of them are exceptional practitioners and wonderful people.

Charges you a 40 dollar "contact maintenance fee" if you look into getting contacts and you dont order them through there. Unbelievable. And they dont tell you about it.
