I live in Reedsburg, none of my relatives work there... so this is my honest review of this facility. I had my colonoscopy and upper gi endoscopy on 1/22. WOW is my first impression. From the greeting at the door (without having to stand in line or even look around and wonder where to go), check in was speedy, efficient, and professional. Sent up to second floor, told to wait in waiting room... and I cant believe it they had a food show on the TV... there I explained to them that my responsible adult couldnt make it so I brought my wife. After a short wait, we were ushered to the "prep" room... actually a private hospital type room. It must have been assigned to me because I saw my name and time on the window. Was told to disrobe, can leave socks on, and get in the bed. Then Kristin came in said she and Holly would be doing my prep... Nikki asked the questions, Holly started the IV port, hit the vain first try. Then they put on the EKG leads, wish they would have told me that I would have shaved a couple days before. Dr. Saha came in a short while later, asked if I had any concerns, or was there anything in particular that she should look for. From there I was wheeled in the same bed to the procedure room where I was met by Christin and Nick. After repositioning of the two upper leads to my upper arm, and showing concern over a chest pain I got while rolling onto my side... Christin started the sedative....LIGHTS OUT, no memory from then on. Dropping in and out back in my room, finally got dressed, and wheeled back to the building entrance. This is my second experience with UW HEALTH (last July had a TURP, Bladder stones romoved, and a perineal urethrostomy with the best Urologist, though I know he would hubbly admit, by Dr. Bushman) and all I can say is Wisconsin should be very proud of their UW Health Facilities, now if the GOP doesnt blow that up. Wish there were 10 stars cuz I would give them that too. Thank you for the service.

Ever wondered what it would look like to walk through a futuristic dystopian prison planet? Well wonder no more, the UW Digestive health center was designed with subtle psychological terror in mind. With gun metal grey granite floors and walls... stainless steel fixtures and elevators that talk to you with a dull androgynous tone that makes you wonder "Will this device actually enjoy murdering me? Or will it ever be capable of feeling?" But wait! you say? How could this building be a futuristic scifi murder prison without digital tracking bracelets that inform on your every movement to far away secret police hiding in a bunker? Never fear, The UW digestive health building REALLY DOES HAVE DIGITAL TRACKING BRACELETS! Thats right! You to can live out those nightmares you had as a child after watching Logans run and The running man. Immediately after walking through the front door the UWs friendly staff will remove a device from a bank of 100s with blinking lights and attach it to your wrist "For your own safety" and assure you "Its ok... were forced to ware them to" as they hold up their own tracking devices... the pleading terror behind their own glistening eyes all too evident... you can almost read "Theyre listening to use now" on their lips... So if that endoscopy you had planned just wasnt quite invasive enough... UW Health and Digestive center is the place for you!

I had to cancel my colonoscopy at this facility because they refused to give me an accurate estimate of the cost. I have called other hospital networks for estimates on colonoscopies and endoscopies in the past, and I have always received exact estimates for all aspects of the procedure: surgery, anesthesia, pathology, etc. The employees I spoke to at UW Health Digestive Health Center refused to tell me the price of specific aspects of the procedure. They told me that the estimate for a colonoscopy was between $5,000 and $15,000. One person told me that the large price range was because the facility charges more if it takes me longer to wake up from anesthesia. Based on my past experiences with other facilities this seems, well, ridiculous. For the time being I will have to go without the colonoscopy. Hopefully I am not developing any polyps or cancers related to my condition.

University Row does not show up on GPS devices. I dont know how one goes about working with the folks who update satellite-based applications, but this ought to be addressed. Fortunately, I knew roughly where you were and found the building, but folks who rely on GPS to navigate in unfamiliar communities would be unable to locate you by the listed address. This is why I give the facility a poor rating. It is no reflection on the quality of services provided - only its accessibility.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Dr. Gaumnitz and his nurse Heidi have been phenomenal in my journey to get a clear diagnosis of EoE. They are accommodating, prompt to answer questions and prompt to address any concerns or fears I have about procedures. I drive 2 1/2 hours each way to my appointments and the drive is worth it for the amount of supburb care that I receive!

Accounting is terrible. I received a bill one year later and when I asked for back up, they refused to send me any information. The bill was never sent to me a until eleven months after service.. Then, when I questioned them, they threw us to collections. We have spent over $250,000 in one year and they sent us to collections for $140.00 Shame on them.

While having a colonoscopy will never appear on my bucket list, I have nothing but good things to say about my recent experience. The UW Digestive Heath Center is an efficiently operated, state of the art facility with compassionate caregivers.

I am impressed. Never have I gone to a place that treated you so nice. Respected you friendly and kind. I love the private room from beginning to end. Family can wait in your room for a more comfortable wait. Cant say enough about it.

Waiting months for an appointment. Finally got one and the dr. told me that there was nothing wrong. I have been suffering for two months with severe stomach pain and not one person at this clinic could help me.
