Disappointed Customer

This hospital has one of the rudest staffs this reviewer has ever encountered, from the nurse to billing and some of the Dr.s. They seem to believe everyone is a "drug seeker" They told me nothing was wrong with me and the next day I was in a different E.R. having an emergency appendicitis... They have one good Dr. and he is rarely there. Most nurse have the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. I have been here a few times. I will no longer go here. Mainly because they are not equipped to deal with emergencies... But then they wonder why someone comes in with a broken tooth or something minor... Because thats all they can handle. If youre going to die, go somewhere else or you can die here with no one who will care

Went for blood work. asked "how much" to the girl at check in. she said, "not sure but most likely only a few hundred dollars". I get a bill for $1200. Call and say I have no insurance and was told only a few hundred for blood. Rude lady in accounting said "No one would say only a few Hundred". Insurance or not $1200. Keep in mind if i had Ins., it would only pay them 1/10 of cost and they would write off the difference. . Beware, at ANY business before you buy, you can get an estimate.

I had a concussion and the ER doctor was more concerned about the fact that my BP was a "little high" I didnt even focus on what I was actually there for even after I explained that I was in pain and that I would follow up with my family doctor about the BP. Then the billing office refused to work with me on a payment plan that I could actually afford. After my insurance company had already paid all but about 15% of the billed amount.

This is a much better hospital than would be expected in a small town. Dr. Fullop is fantastic, with people coming from miles away to come here instead of going to bigger cities, such as Evansville or Terre Haute. The cafeteria has good food with great biscuits and gravy, which can be purchased without staying at the hospital.

Do not go here. They are very rude and disrespectful. Shittiest hospital ever. They dont know what they are doing. Do yourselves a favor and just shut down already. I repeat do not go to this hospital. They are a joke.

Wabash General is a great hospital with a dedicated staff. The only drawback is the lack of a pediatrician. Outside of this drawback the hospital and emergency room are very professional and excellent in their service.
