Incredibly incompetent. Our child has been sent there 3 times and each time, he seems to get WORSE and the quality of care seams to deteriorate with each visit. This is supposed to be a hospital to contend with children with behavioral issues. Today, they sent our child home as he is "baseline" and they discharged him saying they "cant help us anymore." We just opened his luggage to find clothes and belongings that are SATURATED in URINE. Why send somebody home without a little housekeeping? We expressly asked for complete prescriptions as they tend to foul them up EVERY single time, we even had to resort to telling them how to fill out said prescriptions, and they still neglect our concerns and are not even answering the phone calls from our pharmacy that is trying to fill our prescription. This place is a joke. We told the doctor that our son has schizoaffective disorder and the doctor brushed it off saying "Its just bad conscious voices" which is just negative self image and thoughts vs the violent delusional behaviors that he has. Well, guess what Dr Barnett: the voices are telling him to harm others (such as the voices telling him to hit people with baseball bats in their sleep, which we experienced first hand) and to cause problems, hes not just playing ball with the shadows and invisible friends. Our concerns were brushed off as NOTHING. If there were a half star or 0 stars, this would be for them. This place is highly not recommended. If you or your loved ones are sent here, Lord be with you.

This place was absolute hell. I voluntary checked myself in for suicidal ideation. I was immediately subjected to a full-body cavity search like I was entering a maximum-security prison. I was left in a hallway by myself having a panic attack and not a single person tried to help me. I heard the staff call me awful names. I was not allowed to leave the floor like the other patients were. I was rarely provided with vegetarian meals. I repeatedly requested to see a doctor throughout my week there and nobody ever saw me. I wasnt given my correct medications, and even though my boyfriend brought me my prescriptions, I wasnt given them for days. One night several days into my stay, I literally collapsed in the hallway in front of the nurses station. I woke up alone several minutes later. I was given Ativan and sent to bed. I am pretty certain that I suffered from serotonin syndrome from the psychiatrist dramatically increasing my SSRI dose. This psychiatrist, Dr. Salman, was the first person I ever told about my rape. She flat-out told me it was my fault. After that, I tried to switch psychiatrists but nobody would let me. From that point, she tried to restrict my visitor and phone rights, my recreation time, and tried to prevent me from getting discharged. I cannot emphasize how horrible this "hospital" was for my wellbeing. Do not ever, ever, EVER send your child or check yourself in here. Go literally ANYWHERE else. This place kills people.

Embarassingly understaffed and they lack the resources to make any sort of real difference in the lives of any of their patients. They make it clear early that the only way to escape their purposely inconvenient and lackluster care is to convince the doctor (everyone calls him "Hitler", youll know why if you meet him) that "everything is fine" because if you dont youll just stay longer while the staff basically scolds you for "not getting better". In my life Ive graduated from United States Basic Training, a couple of stays in jail, and now two "behavioral facilities" and I can say without a doubt that the Pavilion was the least pleasant, most money-hungry institution that Ive ever been involved with. Should be shut down or completely overhauled immediately. They routinely violate patient rights and punish their patients who voice concerns by taking away their privilege to wear clothes and replace them with degrading paper gowns. In the weeks I spent there, there was not a mop or a broom in sight, and they will not allow you to clean either. They will simply say that in your fragile mental state you cant be trusted with such instruments of horror like a hand broom. I felt very bad for some of the people in there with more severe issues that they were dealing with, and would truly hope that no one I know ever has the misfortune of going.

I had to be there for 10 days... some of the 10 worst days of my life. No way to change the temp in my room so I froze. My "therapist" was a joke... she was still in COLLEGE, didnt listen to me... in the family counseling session she tried to make me spend less time with my one friend online because "something obviously wasnt working." She didnt spend enough time with me to get that my best times in the day were when I was on with Terri... just told my parents that they should drag me away from the one thing that made me calm and happy. The one and only good thing that came from there was an anti-depressant. My psychiatrist back home for some dumb reason refused to put me on one, but once I got established on it, I came out of the depression fairly well. I WILL credit this institution with dietary... I am on 3 medical diets... and they went out of their way to try and find safe food for me to eat. Thats the only reason I am giving them 2 stars.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! Did not help my child. Lets not even talk about the billing dept. I have been paying off this bill for over two years, plus with my insurance, not PUBLIC AIDE but real insurance, BCBS, this cracker jack POS place has received over 3,000 from me out of pocket plus an additional 3,000 plus from insurance. I only owe them $254.00, have been paying them every month and just today I found in the mail they turned me into a collection place in CA. I am in the legal field and I am prepared to file a formal Complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am also going to do research on whatever regulatory commission oversees fraudulent and unethical medical billing practices. THIS IS NOT OVER PAVILLION! YOU HAVE MET THE WRONG RED HEAD!

I went here twice when I was 16, about three months between visits. This place is an absolute nightmare and I wouldnt wish for even my worst enemies to go here. The staff was uncaring, I felt like a prisoner, none of the doctors there actually seemed to think of me as more than a burden, every day was monotonous, the people I spent my days with constantly sparred (mostly verbally, sometimes physically) and nobody ever did anything about it. There was almost no time to catch up on any of the schoolwork that I missed when I was in-patient, which led my grades to deteriorate when I finally got out. Do not send your children here. Find a better alternative- which shouldnt be much of a challenge, as just about anything is better than this place.
