My husband and I are new patients with Edward elmhurst. Weve been in this particular office three times in the last month. The first time, I was sick. I was the first one in line, and no doctor or PA. Had to wait 45 minutes for someone to show up because whoever was suppose to be there had a medical emergency and they had to have someone else come. So, okay. Then my husband got sick. He went there. They told him he was having heart problems and needed to get to the ER as soon as possible, So we rushed to the Emergency room, that they were suppose to have called to say we were coming, but the ER had no idea who we were. They hooked him up and did all this wonderful care, only to say that there was absolutely nothing wrong with him except probably a viral infection. 150.00 dollars later, they sent him home. And now today, he is ill again, and checked the website, said waiting time was green (less than 30 minutes). He gets there and the wait is over an hour, I mean come on. We live 5 minutes away. I checked their website again and now it says its closed, but they are suppose to be open until 7:30. It is 5:30. What they heck? Starting to wonder if I choose the wrong medical facility to het my care from.

I walk in at 6:50 when they close at 7:30, the waiting area is full. She makes me wait while she calls back to the PA to tell them my daughters symptoms and then tells me they cant take her its too delicate of a situation and sends me to immediate care in Bolingbrook because there is a dr there. Since when cant a PA diagnosis a sty? Real nice. Too lazy to look at her...in a hurry to get home? They try to act like they are doing me a favor? All they did was irritate me!

I been coming to this facility for few years and I like it. They have very friendly staff, nice and clean facility. You can talk to a person in the phone not like one of he review said you can not. I dont give them 5 start because the walking clinic is limited in service that is the big down fall of this facility. Example of limited, if you spring an ankle they dont have equipment to treated.

Staff in the ER are very friendly and work hard to make sure you are taken care of immediately. No waiting. I have been coming to this facility for several years and I will be coming back. This is definitely the best hospital I have been at when I get sick.

Forced into a needless Dr. visit, and apparently having a phone number where you can actually speak to someone working at the location would be too "convenient" for the patient. But hey, the wait wasnt long!

Whenever I am sick I can never get an appointment with my GP in a reasonable amount of time. It seems like they want you to go to urgent care and then schedule a followup appointment with your GP.
