This medical office is in my view more about money than anything else. Several calls have, at times, been necessary to get a call back--IF my doctor called back at all. The staff at times runs interference for the doctor and tries to answer medical questions which are best left to the doctor. On at least one occasion the staff failed to give my doctor the message. The office has several doctors in it not one of which is a male. I guess that should tell potential male patients something. Moreover, Dr Neiman has numerous associates which change frequently. In January of 2010 the office changed its billing policy (at least for Medicare patients), insisting they be paid in full by the patient and that the patient collect from Medicare and any "crossover" (supplemental) carrier. A simple visit during which a medical assistant took my blood pressure, recorded my complaints and verified the medications I take, followed by a 5 minute doctors exam came to over $120. Unless you have a money tree growing in your backyard I suggest you question carefully about how your bill will be handled before visiting the office. As well, if you are a patient with problems arising from an auto accident, whose care is being paid for by no fault insurance, the office may decline to care for you--even if you are an established patient--because they apparently dislike the paperwork, the level of pay or other features of treating such patients under that system of payment.
