This is our 3rd or 4th visit to Dr Toms office. The office itself is pretty dreary but the care seems okay enough for simple check ups. My issue is despite never seeing another patient in the waiting room, we have never been seen with less than a 45 minutes. We live up the block so this is incredibly frustrating. I think the courtesy of telling us approximately how late they are running would be appreciated, instead we wait, the baby misses his planned feeding and becomes increasingly cranky before getting his shots. We may be looking elsewhere.

You have to make an appt. with Dr. Tom for an emergency. Its normally a 90 minute to 2-hour wait in the very impersonal and uncomfortable waiting room. If the doctor has misdiagnosed your child, and you called several time to get him on the phone he will not answer the phone or call you back. He will not call in prescriptions either. You have to make an appt. so he can get paid. I have changed pediatricians and I know other parents who have also done the same for similar reasons.

Dr. Tom is very knowledgeable & has a great bedside manner. He remembers all the kids he treats & speaks to them directly. He is not condescending nor patronizing to the kids no matter their age. He was the first to treat both of my sons directly at the hospital the day they were born. He was a great replacement doctor for Dr. Bayarri. All 3 of my kids love their doctor.

My boys have been going to Dr Tom since they were born. Sure the waiting area could use some work ,some "personality"but its just fine.And Dr Tom is the only doctor I know that does call back, and he sends prescriptions electronically to your pharmacist.For about ten years now we bring our boys to him.My kids love him and the staff there.

My daughter needs special formula that is cover through insurance. Getting this place to send the insurance company the prescriptions they need is like pulling teeth. I will be changing her doctor shortly.

Dr.Tom and the staff are wonderful . I never had to wait for for a appointment . Dr. Tom seems to be a knowledgable and kind Doctor.
