As a 32 year employee of Dr. David Myers, I am writing in response to the reviews that I find blatantly false and offensive. For over three decades I have worked side by side with Dr. Myers, as a nurse, assisting him with the medical and surgical care of his patients. This doctor is a intelligent diagnostician, a skilled surgeon and above all a compassionate man. For over three decades, I have witnessed him make critical decisions that have made the difference in the lives of patients in a profoundly positive way. I have also seen his generosity to patients that are are poor and could never afford care by waving fees multiple times. Dr. Myers was also the only dermatologist in the area that worked for a clinic that took mostly indigent patients with no insurance or medicaid. His pay was next to nothing. He basically donated his time once per week to care for people. As far as scheduling appointments, this is what really is the case. For thirty years most new patients were scheduled about 3-4 weeks out, with some being told to come in the actual day they called if there is was a cancellation. Most established patients were seen within a week or two after calling. Admittedly, things are now different due to a few facts. First and foremost, insurance companies now dictate how much time needs to be spent with a patient, They control many factors in the office, and as participants you must oblige, That leads to longer waiting times and lessening how many patients you can physically attend to in one day, backing up the schedule for future visits. Also, Dr. Myers in the last few years has had a few medical situations that has forced the staff to cancel and reschedule various times. However, we have always provided coverage for established patients with emergency situations. Please note----no patient has ever been scheduled 6 months out unless they requested it. That is a fact! On a less important note, yes the office decor may need updating, but the office is always meticulously clean. The last time I checked, it is probably more important to have a very competent physician with average decor vs high level custom decorating and less than average care. As far as Dr. Myers munching his lunch while seeing a patient, well, that is pure nonsense, At most, he probably had a lozenge as he frequently does, to sooth his throat from all the taking with patients. Also, please make note that there are five employees in the office that have been there in years ranging from twenty to thirty two years, which speaks for itself, We have had great professional careers and have consistently provided high quality, compassionate care. We have never lacked for patients, always having a more than full schedule. In conclusion it is important to note that I have never responded to reviews before, but, I felt it necessary to inform people of the other side of the story. Dr. Myers has had a very distinguished career and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of it. We will continue to provide the high level of care for the foreseeable future!

So many reasons NOT to go to this dermatologist. The office is terribly outdated and the secretary is rude. They fail to tell any new patients that they do not take debit/credit cards until after your visit. If you pay cash DO NOT lose your receipt because they will claim you never paid and send you a bill plus a late fee. I should have known from the looks of the place and when the Dr. enters the room still chomping on his lunch to run. My husband and I both had a small biopsy taken. I healed fine my husband ended up with an infection and had to go to Urgent Care and his primary to resolve the infection. I originally made an appointment for us based on the previous google review. I wish someone would have put an accurate review on here so I would never had to encounter that establishment.

I hope my experience differs from most, but none the less, I wanted to share it. I made an appointment with Dr. Myers as a new patient and was given an appointment almost 6 months out. Thats fine, I understand that it takes a while to get in. However, a few days before my scheduled appointment, Dr. Meyers receptionist called to tell me that the Dr. was out sick for a few days and would be unable to keep my scheduled appointment. Which I also understand. But then she told me that my only option was to take a different appointment... 4 months out! Thats pretty unacceptable to me after waiting 6 months to see the guy in the first place. I find it hard to believe she couldnt squeeze me in anywhere before that. Needless to say, I found a different doctor.

Just read the reviews after two visits. Who cares if the office is outdated? Not every doctor wants to use the latest technology or decor. My first appointment was just a couple of weeks from when I called. If theyre rescheduling appointments for a month out because hes spending more time with patients, thats fine by me. I had to wait maybe half an hour from my appointment time and yeah its annoying but doctors should be spending adequate time with patients instead of making appointments in 15 minute increments and making patients wait for hours. The staff is great, Dr. Myers is great. The only complaint is their not taking cards. Not all of us carry cash.

Nice man but, he does not take charge cards only cash or checks. Also If you have a dual insurance like Medicaid/Medicare he will not take both and your responsible for the balance of your bill. Also the wait time to see him needs to be adjusted. Waiting 30-45 minutes in his office is unacceptable. Dont schedule appointments until you check to see how much time a patient needs to be seen by the doctor first.

I started seeing Dr. Myers several years ago when I was diagnosed with a rare dermological condition. After seeing 9 other doctors, he was the one who cured it. I see him now for a yearly check up. I have occasionally had a 30 min. or more wait, but he takes his time listening to each patient; many are older and slower. Dr. Myers is worth the wait.

I have been going to Dr Myers for several years now, he is the best and so are the nurses, but he has cancelled at least 3 or 4 appointments over the years. Rescheduling is not that easy, you may have to wait a couple of months to get another one. I know Im not the only one who has had this problem with his office.

The doctor constantly cancels appointments a week before when youve been waiting six months just to see him. The secretaries are completely rude and inconsiderate in dealing with this matter, they could care less that they are wasting your time. I would recommend you find another doctor before considering this office.

I am very happy with the service provided by Dr. Myers and his staff. I have been a patient of his for about 5 years now and have always been treated very professionally. I have had to see him on an urgent basis a couple of times and they did the best they could to get me in quickly.

Never was I told that the office didnt except credit cards because if I did, I would never have gone to this office. The women at the desk are extremely rude and the Dr. should be embarrassed to have women like that working for him. I Would NEVER recommend this office.
