When this was the only local place that my insurance company covered I was hesitant. Once I saw Dr. Runnerstrom I was thrilled. The office staff is fantastic, the Dr. is very friendly. The doctor convinced me that I should start eye exams early and so we brought in my 4 year old. She never had any signs of eye problems, but my insurance covered the exam 100% so I had nothing to lose. It turned out her eyes were worse than mine. She was SO happy once she got glasses, she ran around saying things were brighter and that she could see. My husband, myself and my daughter have been going there two years now, eventhough our insurance has changed to allow more places, I wont go anywhere else. I trust them completely. They are wonderful with problems with glasses and repair, and they are quick and efficient. I have referred several of my friends there, and its not easy to get a referral from me!

I had a very good experience with Dr. R. She was very thorough and me having type 2 diabetes this was very important. I decided to keep going to her seeing as my experience was so great. Yesterday 11/11/15 i started seeing floaters in my left eye. It scared me so i called today to get an appt with Dr. R seeing as i was established as a patient there. I was told i couldnt get an appt until the end of Jan or Feb. I explained the floaters and was told I should probably be seen right away and should find someone else to go to. All my records are at Greenbush eye center and now i have to find another doctor to go to. What ever happened to emergency appts? Im very disappointed.

I usually go to Pearle Vision on Wolf Rd but I thought I would give this place a try. I didnt think it was much better. The problems I had were: - Waiting a month to get an eye exam scheduled - Felt doctor was kind of rushing to get it done - Didnt dilate my eyes and had to make another appointment - Optometrist wouldnt tell me how my frames looked and said there was a mirror I can use (I am almost blind without my glasses, Pearle Vision they give me suggestions on how I look) - Optometrist made me uncomfortable (Pearle I feel comfortable around most of them) Next time, I will go back to Pearle Vision on Wolf Rd (plus it is close to where I work)

Great experience!!! Dr. Runnerstroms practice is amazing. The Doctor was professional and extremely knowledgeable, and very kind. I felt like family in how the whole staff treated me, from the front dest to state of the art testing equipment. Scott even fixed my old glasses so they fit perfect and absolutely no pressure to buy new ones. I have already recommended her to my family and friends. Who would think I would find the best eye doctor in my own back yard (so to speak). Easy parking and beautiful office I might add. Thank you, Dr. Runnerstrom for such an amazing experience and in my 70s thats saying a lot.

Everything about Greenbush Eye Center is good. Dr. Runnerstrom and her entire staff is pleasant and helpfull. I would recommend anyone to go there. This said I wrote the review a year ago. I recently wrote another wonder what I did wrong that it isnt here. It was the same as a year ago. Just want to comment on one other review. I never waited a month to get an appointment here. With some doctors its at least 6 months to get an appointment or more. Also, they always want to dilate my eyes the day of exam, I choose to have it another time as I need a driver after its done.

Best Doctor in Capital District. And she built a Bat Cave full of amazing state of the art equipment...best, clearest most accurate prescriptions Ive ever had, and Ive worn glasses for almost 40 years...no fuss no muss gets to the point with great care...highly recommend! Only complaint is retail store hours arent very convenient if your work day is 8-6, only one later night/week, and no weekends... Quality of the Doctor still easily makes it worth that minor inconvenience.

I continue to be very confident that Dr. Runnerstrom provides the best in eye care. She is attentive to all questions and responds to patients in a way that is professional and caring. The staff is also excellent. I am pleased with how I was fitted for glasses and my daughter for glasses as well as instructed in her first time use of contacts. My husband was also pleased with the short wait time and the way he was taken care of. The office is attractive and very clean.

My eye glasses from Greenbush Eye Center irritated the skin along the bridge of my nose for a year. Never happened before. I returned three times for adjustment. The opticians dont smile and the visits did not solve the problem. An unplanned stop at another optician resulted in a quick diagnosis. The solution was ultra-simple - wider nose pads. I wont be going back to Greenbush Eye Center.

I have been going to the Greenbush Eye Center for a few years now. They are a state-of-the-art facility with very professional staff. You can get the eye exam and order your glasses all under one roof. They send automatic reminders when the next appointment is due and you can schedule the appointment online. If you are looking for a hassle free experience, I would highly recommend this place.

Was having eye problems and went to Dr. R for the first time, she did the most thorough check I have ever received. Went back after the first of the year for new glasses and love them, just love them. The staff is friendly and helped me pick out the glasses. I highly recommend East Greenbush Eye Center - much better than those chain opticians, shes a real DR.!

Dr. Runnerstrom provides excellent eye care. She does thorough eye examinations, responds quickly to any potential problems, and answers all questions. Whenever necessary, she immediately makes appointments with appropriate eye doctors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Appointments are handled with very little waiting after arriving in her office.

Great service and the staff is very good with my daughter, who has anxiety and has difficulty with exams. She broke her glasses a week before her annual appointment and they were very accommodating to get us in early so we didnt have to buy new glasses with the old prescription.
