Staff is very kind, interior feels very open and spacious, LOVE the mural on the wall. My friend brought her old dog in to see Dr Bucalo and she was very patient and understanding, explaining various types of treatments and costs with her while she was communicating with her out-of-town parents over the phone. I brought in my cockatiel for a check up and when we came back with a second bird, she even asked how he was doing! Since the walls are 3/4 height, I dont recommend bringing your birds here, and none of the vets are certified avian vets, specifically, but its close to our house and I know Dr Bucalo has an African Grey herself. My only issue is that I wish the floors were cleaner, but we always come late in the day. One other thing: make sure to tell your friends about this place if you like it since they are doing a promotion on their first visit if referred. Edit: Having gone to an avian vet and being more experienced in this manner, please please do not bring your birds here. I should have known better, but general vets are not trained in bird physiology, and I had to take my cockatiel to another vet since she wasnt doing better.

This is one of the best animal hospitals in NYC, Dr. Lu is scientist became Veterinarian, his idea of holistic treatment is very modern, healthy and works better in a long run. His story has been featured by several newspaper. We have 5 office cats are all his patient. Not to mention my own cat M, she loves Dr. Lu, (she usually dont love anyone), I mean she is already extremely nice to him, and appears calm while being examined. Queens Animal Health is a very warm hearted place that Ive always enjoy going to, the staff is very kind and passionate about animals. They will treat your babies with care and patient. Dr. Lu integrated acupuncture into western medicine. In some cases, surgery is too invasive and acupuncture is a better solution. This is one of the few animal hospitals that use acupuncture. It is a 4,000-year-old treatment that serves as a cure for arthritis, allergies, paralysis and many more. This is a safe natural way to handle certain illnesses without conventional medication or a surgical procedure.

I wish I can give a 0. AVOID THIS PLACE. My puppy had parasite and they gave me medicine. The night I gave my puppy the medicine, he vomited, so next day I asked a friend (I work on weekdays) to take the puppy back and they doctor was nicely offered free check on the puppy, reduced the dose and gave medicine to comfort his stomach. The medicine the doctor gave, which according to my friend the doctor said it is free. A week later, they called me on my number saying that isnt free and asking me to pay for it ( very bad attitude) I told the front desk ( I believe her name is Cathy) that the doctor said it is free, she said thats not the doctor, thats the guy sitting next to me that I am training. And she said:" nothing in this world is free man."( super bad attitude) I was at work, so I told her I will be there in person on weekends. I will give back the medicine (my puppy only took one tablet) and I will transfer him to another hospital! I am so pissed off :)

Sad that I cannot give them lower than a 1 star. Took my dog in because he vomited 3 times the night before and his stools were hard. Dr. Lu asked if I changed his diet and yes I did. Thats the good part...now for the disgraceful part. He then proceeded to take blood, give him a shot of antibiotic and another shot for God knows what. I have NEVER heard my dog cry, or yelp, like that before in his life! He is 5.2 pounds and what this so called Dr. did was way over the top! And he x-rayed him for no real reason. The bill...$554.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disgusting at that charge but MORE SO that he should be ASHAMED of himself for not caring about the pain he inflicted on my dog, only cared about UNCHARGING!!!!

I was referred to Dr Bucalo by a colleague at work and I brought my 10 yr old dog in last week to have her checkup and possible dental surgery. This was by far the best experience I have had with a veterinarian and I highly recommend her! After being told by two other doctors that my dog had to go under anesthesia to remove a loose tooth, get her teeth cleaned when I brush them every day, and be charged an astronomical amount of money, Dr Bucalo told me all of that wasnt necessary and took her tooth out in office. The painless procedure took 5 minutes and my dog didnt have to be at risk to go under anesthesia. Im glad that I found Dr Bucalo and happy to say that she is my new vet!!!

I wish I could give it a zero! I WARN YOU NEVER TO PUT YOUR PET FOR BOARDING THERE. My pet (a healthy lab) came home smelling like she was bathed in pee and had diarrhea for more than two weeks. Before boarding my pet, I requested to see the pets cage and living environment. My request was not honored and all I knew was my pet would be living in the basement of this hellhole. The hospitality there is also incredibly terrible. After ten days of the diarrhea continuing, I wanted to get prescribed medicine for my pet. The front desk lady did not want to deal with my case. Overall, my experience with this place was terrible and I will never let them handle my pet again.

Definitely well recommend this vet clinic. Doctor is professional and care for the pets. Especially Dr. Bucalo. She is an excellent vet. The staffs and nurses are good and friendly. My boy passed away 4 days ago and he was really well taken care and treated of. The doctor was really tried all her best and effort to treat and take care of him when he was hospitalized. Communicated with me with updates of his condition at least twice a day, even in the late night. Thank you all from Queens Animal Health + Emergency.

Absolutely Love Dr. Lu, the nurses & staff at this facility. Were careful, caring and so cool with us, including Shera my cat. Offers holistic approaches, beautiful facility and artistically inspiring with all the beautiful artwork mounted on the walls. Unlike any other vet Ive been to. I brought my cat in because she had what I thought was scratch. The ENTIRE staff was so friendly caring and helpful! The Doctor diagnosed her with a skin condition right away and patiently answered all my questions, not to mention the nurse was absolutely fantastic and loving with our timid cat :) Wish I had found them sooner highly recommend

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was charged 350+ dollars for a very routine visit and I was told that my dog needed surgery and it would be in excess of 1200 dollars. I went on to get a second opinion and was able to get the surgery done for 1/3 of the price and by an absolute professional.

They offer boarding for kitties & doggies! I went to visit my kittie Rascal & they were sooooo goood with him. Rascal is VERY scared of loud noises & not seeing whats going on. They let me spend lots of time with him in 1 of the examining rooms but he still didnt calm down enough to eat something.
