one of the worst places i have ever been to....upon arrival we we greeted by a very Unfriendly receptionst....and we were the only people there, we waited about 15 mins and i asked the receptionist who again was extremely nasty and said everyone was busy and we were to wait i looked through the reception area to see the doctor and 3 other girls all on their cell phones, i approached them and the dr stated she was reviewing my chat....my chart i said...on your PHONE...RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL and we didnt even get in the room yet for the exam, the doctor-Dr. Villa was disgusting, dirty and more then rude-she was ROUGH with my little 6 pound dog and she gave my dog a rabies vaccine when she was SICK...the place was filthy- i would never recommend this office to anyone- in the same day I visited Levittown Vet who was horrified that my sick dog was given an vaccine injection and was not treated for the illness- the doctor and staff were unprofessional, dirty and rude. My Chloe was treated WONDERFUL at Levittown Veterinary Group- call them if u want your pet treated with love and compassion-STAY AWAY FROM DR VILLA AND MERRICK VETERINARY GROUP-AWFUL-NO STARS FROM US- I ut one start because i could not leav it blank-

The entire staff at Merrick Vet Group is to be praised but our special thank you is to Dr. Allison Villa who is the most caring and compassionate vet we have ever known. She lovingly cared for our dear Lippy through 4 years of diabetes and finally succoming to cancer at 15 years, 8 months in Jan. 2012. Dr. Villa was with her throughout that period and when Lippys time came, she was a tremendous help for us in our grieving period. This past March, Lippys sister Clemmie, who was almost 18 years old had reached the end of her life. Dr. Villa had cared for her during 5 years of hyperthroidism. Again Dr. Villas care and compassion was a major help for us in getting over this period. We cannot thank her enough and only hope oiur granddaughter who is now in her first year in Vet scjhool in Scotland, will be the kind of vet as Dr. Villa is. We can never thank her enough. I have brought my guinea pigs to see Dr. Saver for several years now. I cannot express how highly I think of her. I found her when I was frantically searching for help with my first guinea pig. She was the FIFTH veterinarian I went to, and I can only say I wish Id seen her from the very beginning. She is thoughtful, caring, thorough, and fair in every way. She followed up with me over a year after my first guinea pig passed away (due to a congenital abnormality) on her own initiative! I wish I could find a doctor so wonderful for myself or for my toddler son. I only have experience with Dr. Saver, but everyone Ive spoken to or overheard in the waiting room had equally high impressions of the other veterinarians in the group. Note that I believe Dr. Savers practice specializes in cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, possibly other small mammals as well, although other doctors in the group may see other animals as well.

without a doubt the only place I take our KIDS too is here !!! the Vet doctors are all very professional and honest , everything is done right in front of you and if you need meds and there are human products available cheaper they tell you that, if they feel your pet doesnt need an xray they do not do them and charge your bill up ... the assistance staff treats them as they are there own pets !! And Heather at the front desk goes way beyond in helping with everything from billing,getting insurance and making you feel welcomed there and my Dog Zeus thinks she is his girlfriend :) ... I tell everyone there crazy if there not using Merrick Veterinarian Group !!! Tim Ercolano

Dr. May is knowledgeable and compassionate, When our cat Muffy at 15 years old became ill Dr. May was thorough, making sure that he had made the correct diagnosis, and then giving us all the available options to make her well. He never pushed a particular treatment but gave us all the info and let us make the decision. My cat Moochy has been under his care for a long time, she is 19 years old. I have recommended Dr. May to many of my friends. I can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who has a fur child {dog or cat} and is looking for a concerned Veterinarian.

I cant say anything good enough about Merrick Vet Group, particularly Drs. Villa and May who have compassionately taken the best of care of both of my dogs. Having a dog put to sleep is a traumatic experience, and Dr. Villa performed this task for me with such empathy and professionalism that I will forever be grateful. My little fourteen-year-old Pekingese went to sleep free of pain and anxiety, and this was not the experience I had had previously with another vet and a sixteen-year-old dog. I highly recommend Merrick Vet Group for all your pets needs.

Aside from the puppies themselves, the very best puppy-related thing that happened to us was meeting Drs. May, Marder, and Villa --- individually and collectively, they are the most caring and competent professionals we have ever met. Each has a unique style but the one unifying component is their compassion. They have the knowledge and the commitment to find the best path to resolve puppy and full grown dog issues. Without them, our enjoyment of the puppies would be diminished significantly; they are WONDERFUL!

I cant say enough about Merrick Veterinary Group! I was scared and worried about my dogs health the entire staff was supportive - they were able to go above and beyond to help me and my lil pups. Thank you for being caring, extremely understanding (as I know I make some pretty special requests,) cheerful, and just so darn good at loving my pets as much as I do! I encourage everyone to bring their pets to MVG or some attention and care - you wont find better elsewhere! Thank you Merrick Veterinary Group!!

Dr. May and the entire staff are great! I brought my Golden Retriver to Dr.May at 10 weeks old and he cared for Buddy until his passing at 10. He is an incredible Dr. with great caring and compassion. Very knowledgeable and has a special way with animals. I would Never of had it any other way. Buddy loved him and the staff as well. I would highly recommend Dr.May.....to anyone who is ready for a dog or cat in their lives.

Dr. May has been taking care of my Pumpkin and Sundae (kitties) for nine years and he is the BEST. Every time an issue came up with one of my cats, Dr. May has been spot on with how to treat and take care of it. He even did emergency surgery on my friends dog who suddenly became ill and that was two years ago and the dog is doing great. I highly recommend him. The assistants and staff are fantastic as well.
