For 5 years I knew my teeth were in need of extensive work.   I put it off for as long as possible using stop-gap, store-bought measures and Web researched remedies in hopes of avoiding the reality that stared back at me on a daily basis.   That came to an abrupt halt when I lost 2 teeth (they did wage a valiant fight to hang in there I must admit) and was forced to address the situation.    Based on proximity to my home, detailed case studies of past patients and positive social media reviews, I reached out to Advanced Dentistry of Mohegan Lake.   They had me come in right away for an examination.   I was filled with nervous anticipation, having run through dozens of prognosis scenarios of what they would they would spring on me.  My angst retreated quickly upon entering the office.   A warm greeting from Mary, short wait then consultation with Sophia.    She was great, breaking down a complex process into digestible pieces.  Throughout the process, she was knew when to dial it back, ask gentled but insightful questions to help me understand their process and potential options that awaited.  At no time was there any kind of "sales pressure" or attempts to push more extensive and expensive treatment options.   The overview was followed with an extensive examination with discussion with Dr. George.  He did a great job in explaining my current situation, discussing root problems and things I had probably done (correctly) to exacerbate the situation, secondary issues (jaw pain/realignment, sinus issues, neck stiffness, dizziness, shoulder alignment and lower back issues) that could result from it and multiple ways to address the situation.   At all times, he knew when to slow down, give me time to let things marinate a little bit and when to provide candid advice.   The consultation took over three hours but I never felt overwhelmed.  That was on March 8th.     On March 17th, I spent the day with team for (All on four Implant Bridge Full Mouth ), and am now recovering with minimal discomfort.   I cannot thank the entire team (Dr. George, Dr. Mejia, Sophia, Mary, Gina, Arelis, Carolin ) enough for their attention to detail or true concern for my comfort throughout the process.  I wake up every day, look in the mirror with a pleasant reminder of their handiwork.   This is a team that loves what they do, is dedicated to their craft and it shows.

My real name is Nick Colombo,Cosmo Kramer is my google ID and Im a real patient at Advanced Dentistry.Ive been going to Advanced Dentistry since 2010 and I couldnt be Happier! Recently my teeh had become thin and cracked because of meds and a auto-immune disease.I had small infections and was having some discomfort.I saw Dr.George and he explained every thing in detail.He put my x=rays up on a big screen TV and showed me each tooth that had a problem and it was a lot! He then offered me different options and told me to take my time,think about each option.He and the staff would support any decision I made,I was never under any pressure to do anything I didnt want.I decided to fix my teeth and bite with new crowns.I went and sat with Sophia and she explained every detail,took pictures of me and showed me what my new smile would look like.Sophia is on of the nicest person Ive ever met,no question was stupid and she took her time making sure I understood every detail in the procedure.Then I saw Nikki and we went over cost and finance,again every detail was explained and I never felt pressured to do anything I didnt want to do.Nikki is another amazing person working at Advanced.Then I saw Gina because I decided to have sedation.I dont think I could of done this without Ginas help.She explained every step of the sedation process,made me feel calm and at ease before,during and after the procedure.My procedure was on a Monday and Gina called me on Easter Sunday to see if I had any anxiety or questions about the procedure.She also gave me her cell phone and told me If I woke up anxious to call her,even if its 3am!! Gina goes above and beyond and is so nice and caring.The procedure went very smoothly,Dr George and Dr.Mejia are amazing people,they treat their patients like family,they are kind,caring,honest people,their dentistry is second to none and always painless.I just cant say enough about the Drs and staff at Advanced.If your looking for a caring,honest,fun,nice dentist,stop by.Youll be greeted by Mary,whos always smiling and youll be treated by the staff like an old friend.I used to dread going to the dentist,now I look forward to seeing my friends at Advanced.If you want,ask for my before and after pictures and youll see the talent and skill of the doctors,and my new amazing smile!

If you ever experience anxiety when you go to the dentist, this is absolutely the place you want to go. I was apprehensive to try a new dentist, but found some great reviews about this dentist online, so decided that I wanted to schedule my next visit here. My first visit here was for a consultation. I met Nikki and Angela who were both so helpful when I talked to them on the phone to schedule my appointment. Nikki sat down with me and really gave me time to explain my situation, worries, past dental history and much more. She took down a detailed history, showed me around the office and showed me a video on TMJ. Then she took some photos of my teeth and smile and took some measurements. She put me at ease and was very reassuring about the processes and addressed my entire list of fears and questions. My second visit was for some X-rays/diagnosis of the problem I was experiencing. Again, the entire office staff was very welcoming and friendly. I got to meet Dr. George on this visit also. After reviewing my X-rays and conducting a tooth by tooth exam, he presented his findings and gave me different options on how we can go about addressing the issues I was having. I would highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a new dentist for many reasons; there is virtually no wait time (you are acknowledged as soon as you walk in the door), the office is bright and clean, the entire staff is extremely pleasant (Nikki and Angela are very high spirited, knowledgeable and helpful), any concerns you have are addressed one by one; you are given individual attention here that you normally don’t receive at any other doctor/dentist office which really makes you know that you are cared about. Additionally, there’s no such philosophy here that one treatment will fit every patient. Dr. George gave me a breakdown of my options and the associated costs/time frames so that I could pick the treatment that best worked for me.

The staff at advanced dentistry changed my life. Prior to finding advanced dentistry, I went to countless other dentists hoping they could help but left disappointed each time. My first visit to advanced dentistry was the first time I felt my concerns were heard, that Sophia really cared about doing all she could to help and that Dr. George and Dr. Wanda were going to end many years of pain and frustration. My experience at advanced dentistry has been nothing less than amazing. As a person who is terrified of the dentist I have always felt safe and comfortable at advanced dentistry. Throughout this process, I have always felt included, everything has been explained in detail every step, every option and the pros and cons of it all. The staff has been so kind, patient, supportive and understanding to me and I could not thank everyone enough. I was experiencing pain and discomfort daily, my quality of life was no where near what it should have been, I stopped smiling and would tone down my laugh so people couldnt see my teeth but all that has changed. I have seen significant changes with improved posture, significant reduction in jaw, face, neck, head, shoulder and back pain. I can eat without being in pain, I have more energy and feel alive again. The best part for me has been the return of my smile and loud boisterous laugh. I never thought I would love to smile again but now I catch myself smiling all the time which makes me smile more! Advanced dentistry thank you thank you thank you for all of your love and support you are all amazing!!!!
