My girlfriend has a 2 week violent cough with a low grade fever. She went in to this urgent care, knowing she may have a bacterial infection, and specifically telling them all the information they needed to know. This is a girl who for the most part avoids any medications if she doesnt need to, and wont go into the hospital unless its severe. Doctor there told her she had allergies (which she has never had). Refused to test her sputum for an infection. Refused to do a chest x-ray. Refused to write a rx for antibiotics. Looks like she has pertussis now. These doctors are clearly looking to do as little work as possible and just shuttle patients in and out to make money. I could not be more upset with the utter lack of care. Simply because a test is not as economical for them, or goes through a different provider, they are uninterested. All physicians weve consulted with have suggested antibiotics. Oh, they did prescribe steroids though, which is an immunosuppressant and should not have been prescribed without an adjunctive treatment. Save yourself the trouble, go to a treatment center that is treatment focused. Otherwise, youre better treating yourself on WebMD.

This was perfect for me. I got a splinter in the palm of my right hand from oiling a piece of antique furniture on Sat night. I went to the Urgent Care Clinic at 65 w 13 St at 9:40AM Sunday 8/24/14. ER rooms are designed for serious medical conditions and Id have been waiting in one for a week. I was out of the Clinic in far less than an hour and my Medicare and supplementary insurance covered full cost. I saw a doctors assistant for the vitals and a physician removed the splinter. Everyone was courteous and it was just the right place for this kind of thing. The splinter was deeper than it looked but I still didnt lose any blood. Its still a little sore and red and swollen today but its fine and had I left it in, it would have gotten deeper and deeper because that area sees a lot of action. I only wished the coffee had been made in the waiting room. But everything about the experience was really fine. They take your insurance and photo IDs and verify eligibility quickly; you would have to pay for it if you dont have insurance. The clinic called me next day, today, to follow up on how I was doing and on their care.

I had 102 temp, was coughing, shaky, I was going to go to NYU emerg. room, but thought about this place, and was going to walk out if it was not up to snuff. Not only did they lay me down and give me oxygen right away when they saw my levels, they did an in -house x-ray, was looked over carefully, and way quicker than any ER, given meds and scripts and was called back the next morning by the radiologist that looked over the doctors prognosis and said he agreed. All in all I was bowled over by the professional follow thru, and the people (nurse, doctor, front desk) were much less stressed than someone doing 48 hr rounds w/ out a break, and I felt more confident w/ a Doc not running out of the room saying `Ill be back, be patient - My Doctor was calm, not sophomoric, gracious, and answered all my neurotic (just worried) questions, and had me followed up if any Qs in the future. Aces all around, dont know why I would go to ER unless I needed hospitalization, (broken bones, appendix burst, etc.)

They told me my co-pay was $30 when I got there, and then surprised me with a bill a few weeks later for another $150 for the office visit. I had no tests done and my visit with the Dr. was less than 15mins. If they had told me upfront that going to them would cost me $180, I would have walked out, but instead they told me I only had to pay $30, and then sent me a bill for $150, and later threatened to turn it over to a collection agency if I didnt pay. When you have insurance and go to an in-network doctor, you should not be getting surprise bills in the mail weeks after your visit. New York Doctors Urgent Care is the epitome of everything thats wrong with the health care industry. Avoid this place.

A 2 minutes check up by the doctor for a sore throat. They were out of strep tests... I had a very bad sore throat and was feeling very tired. After a quick examen the doctor concluded it was my nose ( no pb there!!) and let me go with the advice of taking flonase... For a sore thoat! Of course it did nothing and i was sick for a week after that. So zero help! And it super expensive. On the follow up phone call to ask about my experience the person I talk to was upset that I was complaining... Well then, so dont call to know how it went. I have insurance but i still had to pay $40 upfront and just received another $55 bill... The office visit costs $425!!!!!!!!! $425 for 2 minutes and my vitals!

Our toddler was experiencing his first asthma attack. It was so severe by the time we arrived, the receptionist re-prioritized the wait list. She bumped us to the top, interrupted the doctor with another patient and then the doctor came running. The doctor acted quickly as well, getting our son the medication that he needed and called 911. After our hospital stay for the next 6 hours, we stopped by to say thank you. Dr. Habashy was so thrilled that our son was doing better. She also spent a few minutes educating us more about asthma as we still had a few questions. We thank the practice, the proximity to our apartment and all the people that helped keep our son safe that day!

My mother was given an EKG by an inexperienced employee who used an how to put the EKG clips on board with numbers and colors, the clips didnt stick in the beginning, the assistant held the clips down on my mothers chest with her hand tightly giving my mothers heart a terrible reading, when the doctor made the assistant do the EKG over in front of her the doctor said the second reading was better but she still didnt clear my mother for surgery. the assistant didnt tell the doctor her mistake Now my mother have to go somewhere else to be cleared, what a waste of time and insurance money.

Hi, just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with my visit to the New York Doctors Urgent Care Center on W13th. The entire experience was professional, easy to navigate, not a lot of paperwork, seamless and all-in-all an excellent experience. The administrative team in the front office was engaging, friendly and professional. The back office is well equipped, clean and I couldnt be more pleased with my attending, Doctor Jessica Levantine, MD. I give the entire experience 5 stars and would definitely return if needed and recommend to others with no hesitation. April, 27 2017

you need to understand what an Urgent Care center is supposed to be accomplish before you set your expectations to high. Youre not spending the money to go to an Emergency Room, and you havent made an appointment (likely), so expect a wait, and dont expect a magic-worker. The doctors here are incredibly helpful and kind - going out of their way to work with me in finding the proper medicine for my diagnosis. The staff was quick and professional. The office is clean. For someone with little cash and little free time like me, this place is perfect.
