Let me make this short and sweet - I thought Vassar was bad but I was wrong. I am writing from my hospital room. Seriously, no joke, a person can die here easily. There is ZERO care for patients. the meds are always late, the service is non existent. An artery burst in my leg and I almost died. The doctors still havent addressed this and they want to send me home. Now that Ive invoked my patients rights to a safe discharge, they pretty much have abandoned me, nurses and doctors. The nurses or techs dont do safety checks every hour. In fact, I have yet to see my nurse in four hours. Also ask for your records. Ive already caught nurses falsifying my medical documents. Always ask about new meds being introduced. A doctor give me an (invantz) antibiotic that caused me to go into anaphylactic shock. They knew that if a patient is allergic to penicillin, this antibiotic would also cause a patient to react. So now Im taking benadryl IV for the reaction. Thanks for the torment, doc. Talk about misdiagnosis. If you want to live, go to Vassar. If you want to pay to be ignored, mistreated, bullied, and abused, Mid Hudson is the place to come (this was St Francis hospital at one time).

Waited almost 5 hours when I was the only patient in the er, not to mention when I was waiting to even see triage for over a hour. Saw the possible patients get disgusted and just leave because the triage nurse was just bullsh*ting with her friends in the back. I was stuborn and just stuck it out because Vassar is always packed, now I know why. After I was finally seen by a Dr after 3 hours ( on a Monday at 11:30pm) i had to wait 1 more hour for her to do anything for me. After another hour of waiting not hearing from anyone I got up and asked whats going on, "oh your still here, I sent the nurse in a hour ago to discharge you" unacceptable I will never go back there. If its life or death Id rather just die thanks.

Brought my daughter to Mid-Hudson Regional for severe pain in the stomach and other issues.Had brought her to Vassar before going to Mid-Hudson only to still be in the waiting room for 4 hours.Finally left,only to go to this place and seen on her chart what meds.she takes only to brush her off and laughing at her saying, Shes making this up and send her off.I hope to God anyone who reads this, dont go to either one of these places, you better off going to a walk in.Staff, Drs, and Nurses have not one once of compassion.Only in it for money I will tell people never to go there.

WARNING! Dont go to this hospital!!!! Im in the process of retaining a lawyer. I received general anesthesia on the morning of Wednesday, November 18, 2015 for a procedure to reattach a tricep tendon in my left elbow. The anesthesia was deliberately pushed with unnecessary force and rapidity so as to cause a severe burning sensation in my hand. I was not asked to do a countdown as was done in past procedures. Whether done deliberately or out of incompetence, I which to report this so as to prevent other patients from being subjected to this kind of abuse. Bryan Henry

Awful hospital, extremely dirty. Useless and rude nurses who did nothing. Other patient in room was screaming and they would not move me into another room. Screamed for hours upon hours. She hit the call button, nurse never showed up. So I dealt with beeping and the woman screaming in pain all night. Fat nurse was extremely rude to the point where I wanted to slap her. Never stepping foot in this awful place again. Side note I got trapped in the elevator because nothing works in that awful place.

This goes for both hospitals mid Hudson and Westchester medical center. I was there for 30 days. They put me on medication that could basically kill me because of other medical problems which they 100% knew about. Also my BP was something like 150/40 and I had a fever of 100 degrees after it was 97.7 degrees every other single time they took it. I felt like was going to die.They did absolutely nothing about it. The food is good though. Also Google should make 0 stars a option.

Was kept in the er for about 7 hrs. They told me they wanted to keep me over night for observation. About noon i asked i asked if i could get something from the vending machine. Nurse said theyd bring me a lunch tray. She came 3 hrs later with an applesauce cup. Finally after 7 hrs of waiting to be admitted to inpatient from er... they told me i was free to go and was being discharged. If my throat swells again ill head somewhere else!

I understand with emergencies each is different and take time. We have been sitting here since 11am just to be triaged and registered. There are only 3 people in the er waiting to be seen. I think this level of wait us unacceptable. They need to develop a faster way for patients to be registered and expedite care. Slapping a new name on an old hospital doesnt fix the core problem.

HORRIBLE!!! This is the worst hospitaI I have ever been to!!! The staff does not care, they dont answer call bells promptly, theyre so rude. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come into the room. Two Doctors gave completely different stories of what had to be done with my family member. I would NOT recommend this hospital. ER is a joke.

Kept waiting all day and told they were very busy. We didnt receive quality healthcare; at all. I told them my child had a headache and no one offered to provide a Tylenol. Had to ask for water and something to eat for my kid. Basically, we my kid was placed in a bay and left there. No one inquired if we had any need at all.

Terrible Service I went to get an x-ray ended up waiting almost 5 hours. I was left sitting down in pain with no pain medication given. After 4 and half hours the nurse gave me a injection for my lower back pain and I want back and I started feeling extreme pain again. I had to go back and get more meds.

I was there from November 1st to the 5th and received fine care, the only small issue I have is not all of the test results were told to me and this bothers me a bit. But all in all it was a good stay... Love the gals in nursing who cared for me they are tops in the unit I was in.

I dont know about the rest of their medical practices, but I certainly dont recommend going here for anxiety-related issues unless you want to be locked in a 500 degree closet sized room located in an air tight hallway that resembles a dungeon.

Was there 7/19/17 for a wound on my forearm. I Only waited a few minutes and was seen by a PA in fast track I believe it was called almost immediately. Very impressed by the treatment I received by every employee i encountered.

I dont get all the negative reviews? I went there with a piece of food stuck in my throat. I found everyone to be pleasant and professional. I spent about 5 hours there and felt confident in the care I was receiving.
