Let me start by saying that the Greece Animal Hospital is a very nice facility with a large waiting room and clean exam rooms. The staff members are always energetic and polite. That being said, be ready to dish out the cash at this place. And always - ALWAYS - ask for clarification on exactly what procedures are being done to your pet, and who is completing them (i.e. vet or vet tech). Ive had a total of 4 or 5 visits here, with both of my dogs. Below are the reasons I will not be coming back to the Greece Animal Hospital: 1) Had an appointment on 2/22/17 where I was charged $277.45 in total (see photos for itemized invoice). During the visit, my great dane Jax had his ears treated for an ongoing infection. A charge of $26.20 was added for "professional treatment" and another charge of $53.00 for the examination (walk in the door fee). I did not agree with both of these charges, as they seem like a money rake for the business, but I did not express my dissatisfaction. I was told to come back 2 weeks later for a follow-up examination... 2) Had an appointment scheduled for 3/8/17, however, a windstorm struck the Greece, NY area and the office was closed down due to power outages. Out of our hands, of course, but then a lapse of time occurred which I believe led to the following.. 3) Today, 3/24/17, was the actual follow-up exam. Jax was now back at square one and had an ear infection again. All of the same charges were given to me, including the $53.00 comprehensive annual examination fee. I called them back after leaving and asked why I was charged this "annual fee" even though I was just in the office a month before. I was told that if the vet is involved in your visit, then you are billed the $53.00. I guess my major confusion here is why was the vet even involved? The exact same circumstances existed as the original visit, and the same treatment was given. In fact, we were not prescribed prednisone on this second visit, only contributing to the fact that I do not believe the vet was needed. 4) Last but not least, Jax was given his yearly Lyme booster 3 months earlier than needed. I assume this does not do harm to my dog, however, it wouldve been nice to know we could have gone a few more months before getting the booster. Like I originally said, the facility and staff members are very nice, but be cautious of who is administering the medical care to your pet and outline all costs ahead of time.

Our experience with Greece Animal Hospital has been wonderful. We have 3 cats and a dog and all of them are patients of Dr Hubbard. We had our animals at another veterinary clinic and we ended up switching to Greece Animal Hospital. Our dog had a major skin infection that she lived with for 7 years of her life. The vet she was going to at the time kept putting her on an antibiotic and prednisone every couple of weeks - months depending on her infection. Never tried to figure out what was causing it. I saw Dr. Hubbards write up on a google search that she specialized in dermatology. So I went to her for a second opinion. She knew we were only coming to her just as a second opinion but she completely swept us away. She was so kind and knowledgeable and very sympathetic with us. She figured in just 1 visit that our dog was allergic to grains and corn and possibly meat which are ingredients in most dog foods. She recommended Canidae Pure Sea dog food or another dog food that didnt have the ingredients she was allergic to, put her on an antibiotic to clear her up and voila skin infection gone. It has never come back. Our dogs coat is super shiny now too. Dr. Hubbard and her staff are very welcoming. For the dog Dr. Hubbard gets right down onto the floor and plays with Ryely and does her exam right there while she plays with her, making it so much easier on Ryely and more fun too. They are ALL very knowledgeable and I wouldnt take my pets anywhere else. I even love the secretaries and vet techs, the whole place has a true passion for animals and it shows. I strongly recommend Greece Animal Hospital to anyone who loves and cherishes their pets. Thank you Greece Animal Hospital.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My dog had an appointment today as a new patient. When I made the appointment they said they were going to get her records from her previous vets. My mother took my dog today and they told her that they didnt have her records and that she had to get them herself. Since they didnt have her records they proceeded to ask my mother WHY my dog had an allergic reaction to the rabies shot previously. My mother is not a doctor nor does she have the ability to ask my dog what happened. They refused to check my dog, give her the rabies shot because they didnt have her records, and then ignored my mother when she requested that they at least follow up with an unrelated health incident that occurred Sunday when she had to go to VSES. They pushed my mother to give her the heart worm medication and fleas/tick treatment but didnt bother to check what my mother had asked them to check. $106 later and time wasted, I called her previous vet who told me that they did indeed send over her records and made an appointment with them. Never coming here again. Horrible service. My question is what do they do when someone rescues a dog and brings them in and they dont have records of prior veterinarian care?

Greece Animal Hospital is the total package regarding canine and feline veterinary care. I have been bringing my dogs and cats to Dr. Hubbard for years and she is the best of the best. She provides my pets with superb veterinary care and has a wonderful and compassionate bedside manner. She is highly knowledgeable and skilled and has a genuine passion for her profession. I never have to worry that my pets are receiving the best care possible. The entire staff are professional, friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Staff go out of their way to provide your pets with lots of TLC and to make their stays as stress free as possible. I am very involved in the care of my loved furries and GAH takes a team approach in the care of my babies. I SO value and appreciate the exceptional care that the GAH staff provides to my loved animals. I would be lost without them. I recommend GAH often and will continue to do so in the future. They are truly the best!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the new doctor they have there. His name is Dr. Sampson. I have always been happy with the service at this vet, but Dr. Sampson brings a whole new care to the office. He was amazing with my little Ruby. He also introduced himself to our other little dog who came along just for the ride (she will be his patient also-but just not that day). You can tell the minute he walks in the room and the way he talks about your pet that he understands they are family and they are my little babies. Just the way he talks to you and your little ones. I just cant say enough great things about him. I have had one face to face encounter and one on the phone, both not only informational, but also caring. Love love love him. He is one of the best doctors Ive ever had for my doggies!!
