Dr. Jerger, Dr. Brown, and the staff of dongan hills veterinarian practice are hands down the most professional and helping staff staten island has to offer. Ive traveled to many different veterinarians throughout staten island and never experienced the service I received from this office. I explained to them I was in a very tight position financially however I owed it to my dog to get him the best help available. Dr. Jerger literally walked me through what my options were and provided my dog with the best care. Forever grateful, Thanks!

I have been bringing my pets to Dongan Hills Veterinary Practice since I was a child. My pets have always been in great care (birds, cats and dogs!). We started by seeing Doctor Carreras but more recently weve seen Doctor Brown and Doctor Jerger. They have all been great! The staff is super friendly and coming in for regular checkups or emergencies has been a breeze. They even handle the paperwork for my pet health insurance claims. I have to drive across the island to bring my dogs here, but its worth it and I wouldnt go anywhere else!

We came to Dongan Hills after a bad experience with a different clinic. Our Boxer Bruno was in a bad shape and Dr. Allison Brown restored him to health and for more then five yrs. took care of him until his death at the age of 12 yrs and 4 month. We have only praise for her competence, devotion and loving care. Bruno received a first class treatment at Dongan Hills Clinic and we would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Carreras and all the staff as well.

This is the best veterinary practice,ever! We take our 5 cats here, and we have the utmost respect and admiration for all of the doctors. They are compassionate, kind,and knowledgable. We have the utmost trust in their opinions and expertise. With 5 cats, we have had numerous health issues, ranging from fleas to FIV, and have always felt complete confidence in placing our animals health in their hands. The best!

I love this place! I had a dog for almost 14 years and changed vets a few times because I never felt comfortable. From the minute I walked into this place, I knew I had found the right doctor for my Remy girl. Everyone is such a joy to deal with and so compassionate. Now that she has moved on, I have another dog and do not have to worry about where he will get well cared for. Very highly recommended.

Dr. Carreras simply was the best pet doctor. He saved my dog on a few occasions and never was wrong about diagnosis. He had the gods gift. I am sure this place remembers my dog Vivien, the bullterrier. I am certain he chose the best team to continue his legacy. I would definitely use Dongan Hill Vets over any other practice if I wouldnt live far.

I cannot not say enough nice things about this place. Dr. Jerger has been so patient and kind with my dogs. One of my dogs always seems to have something wrong with her and he is great about taking the time out to listen and try to resolve the issue. He is very knowledgeable and I trust his judgement. The staff is also very nice.

Dr Brown is awesome! Down to earth in her approach, demeanor and holistic views. Tells it like it is. We always get a very thorough once over when my dog visits her, not only for the yearly physical! Pricing is pricing neither here nor there but for the quality of service I would pay double!

The best of the best. There are no words to describe the care given here. Dr. Carreras is the most wonderful, caring Vet in the world. I have been going to him for 30 years. I am now going to switch to Dr. Brown when Dr. Carreras retires. I trust them all. Great Vets !

Ive taken my dog, cat, AND lizard to several places on the Island but this is the best place Ive found so far. The doctors are very knowledgeable and the staff could not be friendlier, especially the head receptionist Jillian (and shes cute to boot!)
