Ive have two experiences with LCD. First was to have a tooth extracted. The dentist kept breaking the tooth so that he was pulling out shards of it bit by bit. This turned out to be a three hour long surgical nightmare that plagued me for months afterward. I had to return several times in the following week with the agony of a "dry socket" as well as loss of the gum that surrounds the tooth next to it. My second experience came when I went in for my yearly cleaning (I only went back because I was already an established patient by then). The doctor said that I had some fillings that needed to be re-drilled and re-filled. I hadnt any pain nor any complaint of any kind associated with the teeth he mentioned (one top, one bottom). I trusted him and came back to have the procedure. The next day i woke up with tremendous pain on the entire left side of my face. I waited a few days thinking it may be normal after a filling (I havent had many, so I was unsure) by the end of the week the bottom tooth had broke almost in half. I called and explained and they wanted me to come in the middle of the following week. I was at their mercy so I accepted. The next day, which was a saturday, I couldnt it anymore. They have an emergency number to call that connects you to Dr. Roberts. He told me to come in on Monday afternoon! Whats the point of an emergency number if you still have to suffer for two more days? A different doctor fixed my tooth (told me it was a different tooth than the one that had been worked on, which was BS). He told me that Ill need a root canal on that one and maybe the upper one as well, since I was having such pain. I made an appointment but changed my mind about having it done there. Its been three weeks now since then and Im still in agony. Ive found another dentist that I have yet to see. Im sure Lalor damaged my teeth, if not my nerves. Im also sure they tell their patients whatever it takes to make money for themselves. I had no pain before this and since then, Ive had pain that I will remember the rest of my life.

I had a great experience at Lalor Family Dental, I stopped in without an appointment to see if they could help me with the pain I had in a particular tooth. Within 10 minutes, I was walking back to be seen by that dental hygienist. They did x-rays and then proceeded with a teeth cleaning and polishing and found that the one tooth that was giving me pain, would be better to have a periodontal specialist make an evaluation on it, so they gave me a couple of referrals that they had trust in and knew that performed good competent work. So the nice people at Lalor Family Dental gave me copies of my x-rays to take with me to show the periodontal specialist as to make a evaluation on what was the best next step in treating my tooth pain. Everybody at Lalor Dental were very nice and professional and I was seen within a few minutes of arriving, I call that great service! I would refer anyone that had any dental issues to visit Lalor Family Dental as this was by far the best experience I had at a dentist. I am so glad I stopped in, now they are my new dentist!

This was my first visit to the Vestal office and it was an awesome experience! Stephanie C. was fantastic!! She explained everything she did and why she did it. She was very thorough and exceptionally gentle. The staff there were very welcoming and friendly. I filled out the paperwork before I went and when I went to check out, they had already gotten authorization for everything from my insurance and knew exactly what my responsibility would be. Since this was my first visit, they do complimentary exam and X-rays (both panoramic and regular). Needless to say, my bill was zero! They also offer free chap stick, pens, cookies and beverages. I was given a very nice gift, too, for being a new patient! When I left, they gave me a toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss in a reusable travel bag. I was very impressed with this office and how it is run. They appear to be very customer oriented which is rare in todays world. As a first experience, it was definitely a very good one!

I wouldnt recommend anyone with children and a full-time job to see these people, if you call and reschedule an appointment or have to cancel, they will charge you if you had a payment arrangement setup. The Hygienist Team Leader Heather - ripped me a new ass hole when I called to ask for a refund on a charge I had on my card for services I did not receive. The charge was $138 and when you dont have any money its a lot! She said its not her fault that I was frustrated, it was my fault and to not bother going to Lalor Dental again, according to her I had 3 no shows. No one at the office decided to document the fact that I rescheduled my first appointment and that I had to cancel the rescheduled one because of an emergency - she didnt care. Guess what, I wont bother and I will make sure I tell everyone else that. Oh - someone from the billing office was going to call me. Lets see if I get my money back.

I had anxiety of going to a new dentist after the bad experience I had some years ago. After noticing something wrong with a tooth, I made an appoint at Lalor with Dr. Farrell who came highly recommended. Emily welcomed and prepared me for my visit where the rooms have a very comfortable setting. After x-rays and meeting Dr. Farrell, he told me I had a serious issue, however, the tooth is savable. He explained the procedure in as much detail as I wanted and promised me "you will not feel any pain". I doubted this highly at first based on past visits with other dentists, but remarkably I FELT NOTHING. Not even the Novocain. I have a few more visits to complete this procedure and can honestly say I am not worried at all. I thank Lalor Creekside, Dr. Farrell, Emily and Kelly for getting through what I thought would be a very painful visit. You all are the Best !!!

I just had two teeth out yesterday. One was a wisdom tooth and the molar right next to it. Dr. Ahmed performed the operation and it was over before I could believe it. I felt nothing the whole time, not even the Novacaine syringe. I was even able to watch the Womens hockey game while this was happening. If you need an extraction, ask for Dr. Ahmed. Hes the man. My wait has never been more than 3 minutes. The staff definitely treat me right and I highly recommend this practice. If you go with another dentist, youre cheating yourself. One last thought, they did offer to check me out during the procedure (after I had taken the anesthetic, before the hard part) as another reviewer stated. This is a courtesy, as they know as professionals I wont want to have a conversation with the kind folks at the front desk after having a couple of teeth pulled.

My most recent visit to Lalor was for a simple hygiene/cleaning appointment but even this was a reminder of how great this dental office is! They went above and beyond and called me offering alternative times to come in when appointment times opened up and when I did come into the office, my wait to be seen was less than 5 minutes (No time to even enjoy the TV or snacks in the waiting room :) ). No matter what hygienist I see, they are always smiling and welcoming, asking about life and taking an interest in the clients. They always end the visit on a good note too-encouraging you to keep up with your dental health, not only with words but with a cavity free chart for the kids and a raffle drawing for the adults :)
