So its been a while since I had the misfortune of dealing with NW animal hospital, and that may be for the best as I was enraged to say the least with my experience. First of all I have a Great Dane and i know her treatment is costly for anything, the bigger the dog the more medicine needed etc. that being said however I got charged twice what I would have gotten charged at my regular vet (I asked after this horrible experience). I took Athena in and she had parvo, I was told I would get a call twice a day updating me on her condition and i did not. I in fact had to call in any time I wanted an update on my baby and was still not given an answer on her progress and they didnt allow me to visit (as my regular vet would have, they in fact encourage visitation because it raises morale) and I could never get a straight answer out of anyone. Each phone call even that day would be black and white (shes doing great and will be out tomorrow, and later that day would be told she needed three more days of hospitalization) I understand these things can fluctuate but dont say that shell be released if she wont. I eventually pulled her out of their care and gave her subcutaneous fluids at home. The only reason these people deserve one star is because they did manage to help my dog get better. But if not for that i wish i could give them nothing. If you ever need a vet check out Centennial Animal Hospital. Theyre my regular vet and theyre amazing and very communicative.

I love Northwest Animal Hospital! The staff is absolutely top-notch, from the receptionists, to the groomers, to the boarding staff, to the nurses and of course, the doctors. All are very friendly and knowledgeable. While its important how the staff treats me, its more important how they treat my pets. The receptionists greet my pets by name and come out from behind the counter to say hello. Very nice! They call weekly to check on my sick dog. The entire staff clearly cares about the animals that come in. Im especially impressed by how gentle and thoughtful they were when I had to put one of my cats to sleep a few months ago (hugs included). I want to give special praise to Dr. Kocher. She is a very gifted veterinarian. She is not only compassionate, she is also skilled doctor. If not for her, I would have had to euthanize my diabetic kitty 18 months ago. If not for her, my beloved dog (who has cancer) would have died two months ago. I consider Dr. Kocher a miracle worker, and I know she (and the staff) will be there to support me and will take great care of my dog when I have to make the tough decision to say goodbye (which is imminent). I would not consider taking my sweet pets anyplace else. Northwest Animal Hospital does it all and they do it very well. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Atrocious. My dog was bit by a rattlesnake and this was the closest place so I brought him here without knowing what I was getting into. I told Dr. Sudduth that he was bit by a rattler, but he showed no sense of urgency. My dogs throat was puffing up and he was clearly having trouble breathing and the Dr. calmly talked as if it was not an emergency. I was forced to mildly raise my voice at him and tell him to get started, so then he went back and started typing up a comprehensive invoice before he even got started on my dog. He initially quoted me between $1500-$1800 to be paid in full up front, so I did. Then after I got home, he called and told me that he was indeed bitten by a rattler (no kidding!), and now the price has gone up to ~$2400. It turns out they didnt use anti-venom, instead they stuck a tube into his throat and let him "drain" for 5 days in a tiny cage while he laid there in a pool of his own blood. In the following months, I had asked several local veterinarians what they would have charged me for a similar injury and was quoted anywhere from $700-$1500. Hopefully Dr. Sudduth doesnt treat everyone as poorly as he treated my dog and myself.

We brought our dog in and the vet immediately diagnosed with need of TPLO repair; he assured us that he had done this type of surgery on many dogs with great results. Our guy was rather large at over 80 lbs. The surgery went horribly wrong, from the very start and we had nothing but complications with no healing in sight. I finally realized something was wrong and took him to an Orthopedic surgeon and they showed that a tendon was severed during the first surgery by NW Animal Hospital. They immediately completed surgery on his leg in an attempt to repair the "meatball" surgery done by Northwest. We are still not sure if the leg will be saved - time may indicate, but there is a chance that complete amputation will be necessary. The vet at NWest was made aware of his critical error and he has had no further contact with us - no apology, no money back (we spent over $3,000 with their office) - no nothing. We are now over $7,000 out of pocket, with a dog that, in the best situation, will be crippled. Please read this and DO NOT use this hospital.

Ever since we PCS-ed here approximately three years ago we have taken our first dog to this Veterinarian Hospital. We have total confidence in Dr. Kocher and Dr. Sudduth. When we adopted our second dog from the National Mill Dog Rescue in Peyton, there was no doubt that both dogs would go to Northwest Animal Hospital. We have boarded both dogs multiple times for several days and they were always well taken care of. We drive from one end of town to the other, bypassing countless Veterinarian Clinics which would be closer, to stay with Northwest Animal Hospital. Additionally, I would like to extend a warm thank you to Jessica for being so wonderful with both dogs. A few weeks ago one of our dogs was attacked by a larger dog and the level of care and concern by Dr. Kocher was top notch. Dr. Kocher and her team exceeded our every expectation. JOB WELL DONE!! Thank you for being so professional and a master of your craft.

We brought our cat in the get blood work done. They diagnosed her with hyperthyroid. So we got her on meds. We decided that that we couldnt afford the $50/month med so we looked else where to try and find cheaper price. With one of us getting laid off and I was getting little work plus I just got out of heart surgery with out sick leave, we were trying to cut expenses. The office manager got upset that we went somewhere for ours meds and has made it utterly difficult to get our prescription sent over to the pet pharmacy. We have decided that we will no longer take any of our pets there due to the horrible service that we received there from the office staff. The doctors were very accomodating but if you cant talk to the doctor without going through the staff, it really doesnt matter. Im very disappointed in the service. Id rather pay a little more for someone to help us out instead of making life a bit more stressful.
