First of all, this doctor is very nice and friendly, but the bill isnt. Be aware of your bill, if you have high deductible insurance plan like most healthy people do under Obamacare! I came in with question about my vision and I also want to get my new prescription. Dr. Kian told me that they cant do medical and routine exam the same day, because I complaint about my vision condition. So as a new patient, I have to do medical exam first and come back later for routine prescription. The whole exam last about 5 minutes and Dr. spent 10 minutes to write the report. Two weeks later I got a huge bill for the medical exam. Since I have high deductible account, I have to pay $200 out of my pocket. The exam also include some image/scanning exam code used in routine prescription exam, but with much much higher rate. The same exam code for normal vision will cost me $0 out of pocket. Ive done the same type of exam before with other Dr. and I did not get the bill will be this huge difference. Obviously, this Dr. charges much higher rate for the same exam code. According to their billing department, they can only charge what insurance allows. So in my case, they charge me for the max amount my insurance allowed. That means Ive used all my available amount of coverage in one visit. Ouch. Their excuse is that I did "complaint" my condition. If I dont complaint, they would not do the exam for me. Well then. Their second excuse is that I am new patient, so they charge new patient for the same exam code higher rate. Third excuse is that they can only bill my exam for medical purpose first. So I have no choice. So they believe the fault is on my end. I should not complain my condition at first place. I will pay my bill, but I will NOT recommend anyone to see this Dr. Kian.

I developed a very serious eye infection three weeks ago, from contact lens wear, while in Vegas for the weekend. On the drive home the pain became so bad and I couldnt even keep my eye open. I googled opthamology practices in Gilbert and found Advanced Laser and Eye Center, which was right near my office. I called that morning and they said they could see me that afternoon. Dr. Ketcher, an optometrist at the practice, was extremely concerned that I might lose my vision. In fact, he made an appointment for me to see a retina specialist in Phoenix the next day, just in case his best efforts werent enough. He reacted quickly and decisively, prescribing the right meds and instructions for me to administer antibacterial drops every hour on the hour, throughout the night. The next day he had me come back to assess my progress, which had greatly improved, and I was relieved that his treatment plan had mitigated my having to see the specialist. Dr. Ketcher saw me a total of five times over the course of 1 1/2 weeks, to ensure the infection was retreating and that I was on the mend. Thanks to Dr. Ketchers excellent care and treatment, I am now back to perfect eye health!

Worst experience I have ever had. I did not get the help I was looking for and Dr. Kian was completely disrespectful to me. He was rude and raising his voice to me all because I was asking why I was coming in to appointments so frequently only for him to glance at my eye and tell me to come in again later that week, I would come back then he would proceed to look at my eye and not say much then tell me to schedule yet another appointment. He should have communicated to me, the paying client what was going on. if I am getting service I expect to be treated well. After him yelling at me and making things awkward he told the receptionist to set another appointment for Friday so, I came back that Friday only to find out he dropped me as a patient and the other doctor he passed me off to didnt know what I was even there for. This was a waste of my time and money I will take my business elsewhere.

Having an office in Chandler as well as Gilbert is an advantage for me since living in Sun Lakes the office is close by. Calling for an appointment is simple and I am always able to get one for the time I need it. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant. When I had surgery I received a booklet that took me step by step to what I needed, where and when to go for procedure. Followups were planned before the surgery Dr. Kian is the greatest. The most important thing is that he listens and you can discuss your concerns. He also takes the time to answer in a kind and respectful manner. Heartily recommend and wouldnt think of going elsewhere.

My experience with THE ADVANCED LASER/EYE CENTER OF AZ was very positive. Dr. Kian and his staff did everything possible to insure that all went well. Prior to my cataract surgery, Dr. Kians nurse checked my medication list and walked me through the procedure. Drops were put into my eye and an IV in my hand. I was then ready for the surgery. About ten minutes later, the surgery was over and all went well. Everything was fine with the follow-up visits with Dr. Kian. There was absolutely no pain or discomfort during or after the surgery. I am looking forward to having surgery on my right eye November 18th.

I will never come back to this office. The front desk person should have given correct information regarding billing instead of requiring me to get a refraction with a diabetes check up. It should have been done separately and would have saved me the cost of a refraction since it is covered with a regular eye exam. I was also unaware of all the extra costs involved when they used a camera to take a picture of the eyes instead of the doctor spending a few extra minutes to do a physical exam. You know its bad when you spend more time with the techs instead of the doctor

I have been going to Dr Kian for many years now. My Dr. recommended him. I am very pleased with Dr.Kian. I was in a motor vehicle accident ,so I do have some issues with my eyes. He is very thorough with his eye examinations, takes the time to talk to you,& his concerned about his patients . The staff is very nice. I also like he has a optical department. Debbie is very helpful with picking out glasses,fitting them to you, and very knowledgeable. I see him at the Gilbert office. I highly recommend Dr.Kian & his office.

Dr. Kian and his staff are great. I have been seeing him since I was diagnosed with glaucoma several years ago, and he takes my eye care very seriously. I trust his judgement and believe he will not hesitate to do whatever necessary to help me preserve my vision. Wait times can vary, but thats because hes more concerned with his patients than his schedule. If you dont like the wait, book an early morning appointment. The eye glasses I bought from them have been the best I have ever had (better than "LC"). Thanks Dr. K!

I have been going to Dr Kian at Advanced Laser & Eye Center for many years and Dr Kian and his staff have always been very through and professional in my care. I have an extremely tough prescription and being a diabetic makes correct care more of a challenge. They have not let me down, and I trust their knowledge regarding my eyesight. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Kian and his staff to anyone looking for top notch eye care.
