The GOOD: Great selection of eyewear. Dr was very kind and the best Ive seen so far. Nice office and staff. Eye glasses are awesome! Lenses the best I’ve had yet! The BAD: Bad communication; Staff has always made promises and did not keep them. They forgot to order my contacts. It took several weeks more than I was told. I was promised an extra 2 weeks free of contacts for the trouble and they forgot that too. When I asked they had no idea what I was talking about. After 6 weeks my Nike frames started falling apart. I bought a warranty but was told the frames had 1 year manufacturer warranty. They should... I only paid $300 for them not including the lenses (But I love both of them). My wife took them in for repair. She stated the front we would have to pay out of pocket. They finally realized I bought a warranty and told her they would order it that day. I get a call the following afternoon; they needed to know what frames I had etc... I asked about having to use my warranty and they said I would. I asked about the manufacture warranty and they sounded unhappy of my questioning. They said they would call manufacturer ask and call me back in an hr... Two days later and no call. It’s not fun having glasses digging in your head while working 12 hr. shift.

Our family has been trusting Dr. Carlsson and his staff with our eye care needs for at least four years. The office has a low turnover, which says a lot about the quality of people working there and Dr. C. They are all friendly, knowledgeable and considerate of our time. Ive never waited more than 5 minutes to see the doctor, and I appreciate that. Dr. Carlsson is very well-informed and obviously stays on top of the latest treatments and issues affecting eye care. Last year the arm on my prescription sunglasses broke, and respecting my time, we managed to order a new one without me having to do anything but stop by and pick it up and put it on. That I didnt have to go in to place the order and was able to do so by phone was so convenient, that they knew exactly what I needed by my somewhat inept description speaks volumes as to their knowledge and abilities. His office is very kid friendly and open, not intimidating or scary. My kids love going to the office. Our daughter battles anxiety and because of their friendly and approachable manner, we have no meltdowns or issues before our appointments. Carlsson Family Eye Center is at the top of our familys favorite doctors list.

Before taking my child to Carlsson Eye Care she had been to a well known pediatric ophthalmologist a few times. I thought the experience would be similar, a quick check that takes no more than 10 min or so. Let me tell you WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I was pleasantly surprised at how THOROUGH and patient Dr. Carlsson was! I had no idea they could check for so many things and him and his staff are so great with kids. I loved that my child didnt have to read and re read a chart but could simply just watch a movie for part of the exam. The office is really clean and the staff were obviously knowledgeable about what they were doing. We went to a couple different places to try on different glasses just for fun and talking to the people at different optometrist locations it became apparent to me that we really received superior care at Carlsson Eye Center...

This place is a mess. My youngest ended up with glasses that didnt fit at all. Brought to attention by thier own staff. She quickly tried to "clarify" when we told her we just got them from them a week earlier. I asked what we could do and she told me to buy new glasses. My older son purchase Oakleys that started to fall apart. Mention it to the office staff and got a story about how difficult it is to get replacement parts. And we maybe out of luck but they would order and get back to us. No call back. We had my son checked at another office and they discreetly told us my youngest sons glasses seemed to be way off his prescription...And suggested may have gotten someone else glasses. Honestly never bothered to call Carlson back because of the disaster above. I could go on and on about my sons contact mess but you get the idea.

AMAZING staff and the best care! We took our son to have his eyes checked by Dr. Carlsson and from the moment we walked in everyone was welcoming and made my son feel comfortable and made me feel confident that he was getting the best care. They checked his eyes, had his custom glasses and contacts within a few days and gave him a 1 on 1 contacts care class to teach him how to insert/remove and care for his contacts - all of this amazing service and care made it well worth the 30 mile drive from N. Phoenix and I will never need to look for another Optometrist again. The paperwork was simple and quick and easy to complete. Everyone in the office is knowledgeable and more than willing to help in any way. They have convenient hours for working parents. I would highly recommend Dr. C to anyone looking for the best eye care.

Started bringing my young children here in case the inherit my bad eyesight. Dr. Carlsson and his staff are very friendly even with my 3 year old when he first started. They have a lot of patience when testing the little ones. We continue to come every year because I know Dr. Carlsson will help them in whatever their vision needs are. Well be back next year. I also come for my exams so I can continue to wear contacts and Dr. Carlsson is sure to check if there are better contacts for the strength of my prescription that would better help maintain my eye health. So far were doing great. I have had bad experiences in the past with other doctors but Dr. Chad Carlsson has restored my faith in eye doctors and that he cares about his patients not just selling prescriptions you dont need.

I went in for a routine eye examination and a new prescription. While Dr. Carlsson and his staff were very pleasant and enjoyable to talk to, its the quality of care I received that makes me want to return. I learned some new things about my eyes and contacts which my previous ophthalmologist either didnt catch or didnt mention. For instance, the Dr. found some slight astigmatism in my right eye, tested just how well I could see corrected (20/15!,) and introduced me to new eyedrops that are a lot better for my eyes. I was also able to find frames I liked - very rare for me! Overall a very good experience, I will absolutely be returning for my next examination and I have no hesitance in recommending that friends come here.

I went in yesterday to have my eyes checked becuase I was having some issues with night time driving, and reading the computer screen at work. I e-mailed in on Monday to see when they could fit me in, and they responded very quickly and got me in on Tuesday. When I went in i was pleasantly greeted by the front desk, filled out some paperwork and was seen just a few minutes later. The exam went great, and Dr. Carlsson, and his assistants were very informative and helped me understand exactly what was going on with my eyes. They even helped me pick out my eyeglasses, and found a pair that looked great and was in my price range. I would suggest Carlsson Eye to anyone looking for an optometrist in the valley!
