My family and I have had several experiences with Dr. Blackwell. Her experience, caring, and knowledge are extraordinary. In fact, we pursued Dr. Blackwell to Desert Sky Animal Hospital, leaving behind a clinic that we had been with for more than 15 years. Dr. Blackwell takes the time to talk to each creature, making his or her needs the priority. Not only do we trust her with tending to our "families" normal events, such as vaccinations and regular check-ups, but also she has been present and consoling during times of emotional distress. She is able to approach our most "fractious" / least outsider friendly pet and she has been doused in "kisses" by another one of our creatures who typically prefers barking. Dr. Blackwell provides invaluable insight for our new adoptions while being very sensitive to our needs and allowing us time to grieve when the moments arose. We are obviously huge fans of Dr. Blackwell, but she deserves every ounce of praise...

My wife and I have been taking all 3 of our dogs to Dr. Blackwell for their entire lives! (11 years). From major surgery to routine shots, everything has always been PERFECT here! She helped us to make a very difficult decision for our Rottie and despite a difficult surgery, she is doing great many years later. Without this surgery, she would have been lame and we likely would have had to put her down. Thank god and Dr. Blackwell that we did not. She is 11 years old now and still doing well. There is a reason that all of her reviews are 5 stars. Dont bother to go anywhere else. We moved a little over 100 miles away and still will only bring our dogs to Dr. Blackwell!

Dr Blackwell is an amazing vet. My dog is so comfortable with her and loves her. The hospital is very clean and the staffs are very nice and attentive. They even give a follow up call to check how the pet is doing, which is very impressive. Once my dog was not well and I called them during the weekend when they were about to close. Since Dr Blackwell was not available then, they mentioned that they will call me back. And after some time Dr Blackwell called me and told what needed to be done.

I had the pleasure of taking my kitty, Gumball, to see Dr. Blackwell and she was amazing! I appreciated how kind and gentle she was during the exam. She took time to make sure all of my questions were answered as well. The facility was spotless and well maintained; everything looked new. They have very reasonable prices here. As a poor college student, it was a godsend to be in and out with an exam and 3 vaccinations under $100. Well continue to see Dr. Blackwell, for sure!

Our family is very grateful to Dr. Blackwell for her compassion during such a sad time for our family as we said goodbye to our Seamus on Tuesday. The staff at Desert Sky is knowledgeable and understanding. Lets face it there are times when cost matters. The prices were extremely affordable for that level of quality care. Dr Blackwell and staff are the most courteous and caring people, they truly treat you and your pets as family. Not only do they care for you and your fur family they also care about not draining your bank account, extremely reasonable in pricing and payments. This is a huge benefit as we have a many kids in fur coats. Our animals love everyone here. We couldnt have asked for a better Vet or practice.

Dr. Blackwell and her staff are fantastic! I took a neighborhood stray cat to get checked out for an ear issue. Everyone was so wonderful to this cat, I fondly call Morris, and Morris responded well to all of them. The cost was very reasonable, compared to my past experiences elsewhere. This was my first visit and I have to say I will be taking my own furry family too see Dr. Blackwell now. ❤

We have a dog that needed cherry eye surgery. After an estimate for over $1200 from one of the other pet hospitals in town, Desert Sky did it for a fraction of the price. My dog healed perfectly with no complications. Get more than one estimate when getting pet surgery, most places dont expect you to shop around and will gouge you. I would recommend getting one from Dr Blackwell at Desert Sky.

Dr. Blackwell and the staff did a successful surgery for my dog and follow up to see how she is doing. Our experience at desert sky is always enjoyable, the staff is very helpful and truly cares for the animals they see. I have two very difficult dogs and they are able to trim their nails with no issues. I recommend them to everyone!

Best Vet I have ever been to! They were so helpful and Vet Kellee was the best. I highly recommend this vet. So friendly and helpful. My small dog was bit by a larger dog we were sitting and they were very straight forward with the cost of everything before we got started. I will be back!

Love Dr B! She removed a pretty big tumor on my senior poms throat/jaw area. She didnt up-sell other treatments and focused on the issue at hand. Treatment was very affordable and we also had another dental done for our ole man. Great place!
