Dr. Kasper and her staff are nothing less than truly phenomenal, caring and well educated individuals! We were referred to Bark Ave by a friend and are so appreciative of the referral. Dr. Kasper has been blessed with the gifts & talents of veterinary care and knowledge. She was especially awesome with our Boxer whom we loved dearly, but was socially challenged, which made for an extremely tough patient. She always accomodated him, did his vet appointments in the lobby per her recommendation as she felt he was afraid of closed quarters. Who does that? Dr. Kasper does because she truly cares and has a passion for animals. And I cant end this review without telling you that in the end, we were forced with the crushing decision to put our Boxer to sleep, Dr. Kasper and her staff were so incredibly compassionate and understanding and took their time with us explaining all of our options in great detail. And I have to tell you that this was NOT an easy decision, but we felt at peace with it and the process in which it was carried out was 1st class all the way.. So, with that I highly recommend Dr. Kasper and her staff at Bark Ave vet, they go above and beyond no matter the reason for your visit. Its always a pleasure working with them.

Incredible staff. So compassionate and kind. We had to say goodbye to our beagle, Beau in January of 2015 and they did a wonderful job of calmly explaining to us what was going on with him (he had advanced cancer in his stomach, spleen and liver) and then gently explained the options we had available. Dr. Heffelman was very honest with me and explained that chemo probably wouldnt help the situation and was very compassionate and reassuring when I finally made the decision to say goodbye to my long-time buddy. The entire staff is friendly and professional and I have found that their pricing is often far less than I was used to paying at the vet we had been going to in Tempe. They also do a great job of explaining different treatment options and the associated costs- something I wasnt used to from that same vet in Tempe. I would recommend them to everyone.

Ive never been to a vet clinic that didnt call to follow up on my pet, especially when sick. They delayed faxing pain prescription by 2 days, prescribed Trazodone which emergency clinic said shouldnt be given to cats. Called to bring my cat in after seeing vet one week prior, as she was getting worse. I was told Dr Carson works 3 days per week and wouldnt be in for 5 days and that I should take my cat to 1st Pet Emergency Clinic if she wasnt better in 2 days. Front desk staff dont seem to be clinic trained, usual gal acts bored, and uninterested in her job. No warmth. Didnt seem to care when I went there and said my cat had died. Just another day for her. Will never go back, though recommended by my daughter. Vet at 1st Pet Emergency immediately felt stomach tumor and confirmed with an ultrasound. Dr Carson should have found this one week earlier.

I came to Bark Avenue on a referral. This is by far one of the best vets I have ever been to. I brought in a rescue who suffered from severe neglect and the entire staff took care of my dog like she was their own. Brookie, the dog, had a serious infection all through her mouth and rotten teeth. I had been quoted thousands of dollars at other facilities. Brookie has a beautiful white smile now and cost a little over 400.00. Jackie called me through out the day to give me updates on how my dog was doing and every step of the surgery. The doctor took excellent care of her but the staff took care of me as well. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience and such a great job on my poor less fortunate dog. Well, she is not less fortunate now. You will defiantly see me again and I recommend this animal hospital for your beloved pets. DeAnn

what was one of my worst days, was eased by the staff at Bark Ave Animal Hospital. My dog took a bad turn in health and I had to rush him to the hospital, I called when I was on my way and three of the staff met me outside to help me carry him inside. they were so carrying, they took us into a quiet room away from everyone and let me spend time with him to say my goodbyes. he was the best dog and family member ever but with their help he transitioned and is now resting from all the pain that he was suffering. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here, Thank you all at Bark Avenue Animal Hospital for all you did to help me get through this tough time.

The staff at Bark Avenue has been great. My boxer has valley fever and from the moment we took him in, they have been so attentive, even calling me back to check up on how he is doing. Last week, during a follow up appointment, he had a seizure. The doctor and four staff members rushed into the room and took care of him. They even carried him to my car after administering drugs to calm him down. Im very impressed with the staff and they always provide a written estimate before doing a procedure. They also work with you because they know some procedures can become expensive. Thank you Bark for being there!

The staff and facilities are great! I was recommended to come here even though I live thirty minutes away. It has been worth the drive! I was given a fair price for the surgery my dog needed just recently. I like that the facilities are super clean and I never wait a second to get in the exam room. Dr. Heffelman had been very good with my dog throughout the process and the staff always greets me and my dog by name upon arrival. No question is a stupid question here as well and they all do a good job with easing concerns you may have. I am never going to Pet Smart for veterinary services again!

I found it! For almost 10 years we have randomly wandered the valley looking for a vet we felt confident with that would care for our pets! We took our Snugs, a pug-boxer, to Bar Avenue for the first time about a week ago. From the moment we entered the door until the moment we left we were greeted enthusiastically, welcomed warmly, shown respect and love showered on our girl! We walked out the door headed to our car declaring.... Finally, we have found a vet for our girls Snuggles and Moxie! Thank you for caring Bark Avenue staff!

I have been taking my ShihTzu to Bark Avenue Hospital since we got him as a puppy. I like it because the waiting room is not over filled with pets. They get you in on time! My dog is never stressed there. His annual vaccinations never seem to bother him. The staff are very caring and gentle. We also like the Bark Ave Pet Supplies. It is a Whole Foods for pets. They have weekend specials and various pet food representatives that have samples for the pets to try.

We love Bark Avenue! The staff is always pleasant and understanding of our love for our furr-babies! We had to put down our 15 year old golden, Bo, and the the patience and understanding they provided us was unremarkable. They gave us time with our golden in a setting that allowed us to grieve the difficult decision we made. We now have a new golden named Ginger and we take her to Bark Avenue, both the vet clinic and the groomers! Highly recommend these folks.
