Ive been taking my 2 dogs and cat here for a year now when we moved to Gilbert. My first impression was a nice, clean friendly place to bring your pets, not the cheapest vet around but thats ok as long as they are honest and compasionate about animals and their well being. I was a little pushed away at first when they brought out a worksheet showing all types of things that you "could" or "should" do and all different types of different options almost like a sales gimmick you would see at a car dealership. I brushed it off and opted to do everything they reccomended and paid a premium because I care about my animals and I am a real sucker for stuff like that when it comes to their well being. A few months after our first visit we found a stray dog walking around our neighborhood and after days of trying to catch her and find her home we finally got her. I brought her to GVH to have her checked for a micro chip so we could reunite her with her family but I was astounded at the reply I got as soon as I walked in the door. I explained the situation how we had found her and wanted to have her scanned and their immediate response was "well dont think about leaving her here, we will not accept stray animals." The thought of leaving her there had never even crossed my mind, she was a well groomed, very expensive breed that I was certain someone was searching high and low to reunite with. The fact that the first thing they said to me was "you cant leave her here" put a sour taste in my mouth because not only did they not seem to care, they wanted nothing to do with the poor pup. I was expecting some compassion and suggestion as to find her owners, not a rude statement like that. There have been other incidents since with this vet and the sales worksheets have continued but I could write all day about them. The bottom line is I want to let other people know to stay away from this place. They are there for the money and not because they are compasionate for animals. They are trained like used car salesmen to get you to spend as much money as possible and when you come there looking for help (like when we found the lost pup) they turn the other way instead of being helpful.

I have taken my dogs here several times. Dr. Dudley is my favorite thus far. She doesnt seem like she is in a rush or hurry to see the next patient and returns phone calls. She also doesnt take advantage of you when your dog is needing medical attention and knows we will pay just about anything to get are dogs well...some vets see this and hone right it on that opportunity! The staff on the other hand is a little different. I am one to judge a practice/business by their office staff and I have left many services and business due to their unfriendly, unprofessional staff. I am honestly not that impressed with them here. They arent that bad but they seem irritated all the time and not very patient or pleasant to talk to when you ask questions. They dont acknowledge you when you walk in the door with your dog until you approach them at the desk. Just a very unfriendly atmosphere in my opinion. If I didnt like Dr. Dudley so much I would probably go elsewhere. I also felt that the one time I did see Dr. Bode, she was trying to "up-sell" me on services she wanted to perform on my dog whether my dog needed it or not. I ended up spending close to 600.00 on my visit and we still never found out what was wrong with my baby. I felt she sensed I was the type of person who would pay anything to get my dog better because she saw how much I cared for her...I dont know...I just got a weird "marketing" feeling when I saw her. Overall, I will continue to go but from here on out I will only see Dr. Dudley. That is just my opinion. I am sure some of the other doctors there are great...

Gilbert Veterinary Hospital became a part of my family approximately 10 + years ago. I had 2 dogs, (my boys) who both lived 16 + years due to the extraordinary care they received from the doctors/staff at GVH. My eldest, a strong willed Pomeranian, was under the care of Dr. Scott for many years due to Cushings disease, and later on heart disease. My other dog, a kind/gentle schipperke mix, was ill towards the end of his life ultimately dying of a brain tumor. Dr. Scott and her staff were there for me day and night, after hours, even squeezed in my boys for appointments, were available for phone calls, set up and coordinated specialty vets, and literally prolonged the quality of life for my pets, “my” family. Dr. Scott treated both my boys as if they were her own, was caring and compassionate, and helped to comfort me when they both passed on. I now have a new puppy, who is full of energy and very healthy...I know I will be bringing him to GVH for routine checkups. I will never be able to thank Dr. Scott, and her staff enough for the exceptional care they gave my boys...but it will always be remembered and greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend GVH for anyone who wants the very best for their furry “family” members.

I have been taking my pets to Gilbert Veterinary Hospital since we moved to AZ last year. I had checked out another vet practice in the area before finding GVH. I will say that not all veterinarian offices are like theirs. I am thrilled to have found them (they were recommended by a friend) and will recommend them and sing their praises every chance I get. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat and they always receive great care. I had to have 1 cat put to sleep a few months ago, and I couldnt have asked for a more compassionate group to have guided me through that difficult decision and process. We usually see Dr. Scott, but when she is unavailable, we see any of the other great Veterinarians in the practice. The entire staff is compassionate, professional, and extremely committed to their patients care. I never feel rushed, and they always take whatever time is necessary to treat my animal and answer all my questions. They are a professional group, with a well-run practice and their patients are indeed their first priority. I could not ask for a better group of folks. Love them all.

I have been taking my pets to GVH for care since shortly after I moved to Queen Creek from the West Valley in 1997. I love the clinic and cant imagine taking my pets anywhere else. They may be a little more expensive but the care is exceptional. They do offer the "menu" of items that may or may not be necessary, but they dont really push me to have anything done that isnt truly important. I usually try to see Dr. Scott, but if she is not available, any of the other vets are acceptable. They all seem very competent and confident, and when I have had to have dogs or cats "put down," they have all been extremely compassionate. When one of my dogs that I had had for a very long time was no longer able to get around, I knew she should be put to sleep, but just couldnt make the decision. Dr. Scott called me later in the evening of the day she was seen and we talked for about an hour about her problems and about doing what was best for her until I felt more comfortable making that decision. I would highly recommend GVH to anyone seeking excellent veterinary care.
