I regret ever taking my dog here to be neutered, the experience made me regret getting it done to begin with. They were very reassuring and the front desk lady was great and friendly but my baby was returned to me with an unclean, hacked looking incision site that was already infected. I was told he had received pain meds to last him through the next morning before discharge. He was groggy and definitely not himself on the way home, I just blamed the pain meds or anesthesia, but about a half hour after we got home he started crying, not just whining, and moving around constantly in discomfort. He refused to lay or sit down. After a few hours of this I called the emergency number and no one answered, it was pretty close to the 7pm cutoff but not 7 yet. I called the great team at pet urgent care who have always been trustworthy and they said to try giving him a dose of the take home pain meds, I was hesitant because we were only given a 4 day supply but I did, this did not help one bit. We went to pet urgent care and the team there looked at the pictures of his incision I had taken immediately after getting home and later in the evening. They said the meds I was given at the dosage I was given shouldnt be expected to do anything and that he had an infection before I even took him home, They took care of my pup by cleaning up his incision site (I still dont understand why this wasnt done before he was discharged) and prescribing a shot and take home antibiotics as well as a 8 day supply of pain meds that actually helped him, almost immediately. I feel like I let my furbaby down by taking him to some butchers just because they were the only ones in town who could get me in. I expected a lot more from a place that supposedly cares about animals. BE warned they do not care!!! All they care about mass sterilization.

I took one of my dogs here to be microchipped and vaccinated. I figured they were simple enough procedures, how can they possibly mess that up?! Well, the vaccines and chipping went fine, but they also took it upon themselves to shave a huge spot on my dogs chest, and peel the scab off of an almost-healed wound (no bigger than a dime) that had already been treated by my regular vet and was told that since it was almost healed AS LONG AS it remains closed, nothing to worry about. Well, it was fine until these guys messed with it WITHOUT my approval. No one came out and asked me if they could do that to her, and no one mentioned anything when they brought her out, just handed her off without so much as an explanation or question.. nothing. On top of that, they shaved her so terribly, her skin has welts and irritations... obviously was done with clippers that were very hot! When I asked about it, the girl working just shrugged, and told me how difficult she was. Well of course she was difficult, shes a Great Dane, shes never been shaved before, nor do I make a routine of man handling tender spots on her body for kicks and giggles. For the first time in two weeks, that wound is open and bleeding again. Jerks. I have made several donations to this place, and NEVER again. I will donate straight to the rescues, but I can not support a place that does things to peoples animals without consent. Thats just nuts.

In the past few years I have taken a total for five animals (3 dogs and 2 cats) to this clinic to be fixed. Two of the male dogs were in good condition after the surgery, but I cannot say the same for our female dog and two male cats. A few years ago we took my younger cousins new pups in to be fixed. When we brought them home, the male pup was totally fine, but the female was in horrible shape. She would be sleeping and then wake up screaming in absolute pain and to run off, she did this for about four days. However it did not end there. When we first got her she was crazy social, but after the surgery she became extremely skittish, afraid of everything. We tried calling the clinic several time to try and figure out what happened to our pup but they never answered the phone. Its been about two years since. A few months ago we took both of our male cats to get fixed. The morning front desk lady was rude and pushy. When we picked our cats up they both had duct tape pressed hard to their heads and they stank of old urine. Because of how old the urine smelled we were worried that their wou do would become infected. And once again the front desk lady was very rude to us. The next few days after we tried calling the clinic to inquire about our cats poor treatment, but as Im sure you can guess they never picked up.

HORRIBLE. L*** the very rude rude rude lady who was helping people receive there animals in the morning for surgery, was Extremely rude, I have 3 animals AKA kids. I have adopted from best friend animals society in the past, I have donated in the past. I have used there service several times in the past. Today I was bringing in my female dog (not that it matters, but we rescued her) to be spayed. I also have another male dog, that we decided not to have neutered due to we wanted him to grow to full size before we had this done. To each there own right.... However this lady was rude, she laughed at me, she refused to help me unless i had my male neutered too. I was treated so badly by this sad employee, that all I can think is if they tread human beings this rude, HOW WILL THEY TREAT MY ANIMAL aka KID!!!!!!! DO NOT USE, THEY ARE CRUEL, CONDESCENDING, PUSHY TO HAVE YOUR PETS FIXED, IF NOT THEY LAUGH AT YOU..... HORRIBLE PLACE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE. side note, I have loved my animals that i have adopted from this organizations, to bad they have cruel people that work for them.

These people are not friendly at all! I wouldnt give it any stars but had to so I could post. My neighbor took my cat and gave it away. Someone from the Lost/Found Utah County FB page said they saw a cat just like mine at Best Friends around the same time she was taken. She even heard the woman tell the receptionist she had rescued the cat as a stray and was bringing in for a check up. I asked the girl at the clinic if they could look at their records for 11/4 & 11/5 and she said no because they would have to go through hundreds of records. First off, if they see THAT money cats in 2 days, there is something wrong. Second, they must not have a very good record system if it would take that long to look through hundreds of records in the first place. If they really cared about animals, they would try to help distraught owners like myself who has had the misfortune of losing their furry baby.

This place is awesome if you love people taking their old sweet time to get back to you. Waited 3 weeks to hear back from them about scheduling my cat to be neutered. Gave up, and now hes out creating more cats. I did my civic duty of trying to fix my cat. This place is also wonderful if you like moronic vet techs making pathetic attempts at being dog trainers. If you need me to get a muzzle on my dog because you are clearly are not capable then do not get mad at me when my idiot dog throws a temper tantrume on the floor and tell me Im "… freaking him out". Lovely individuals these people truly are. If you like adventure then go here, they are cheap, will take forever to return you call, and never answer the phone!
