This place used to be a good clinic with caring vets and good quality treatment. Over the years, it has declined steadily. I called them on 3 separate occasions when my dog was bleeding from the rectum with severe diahrrea and was told to just give her Immodium and it would be a week before they could see her. On my last visit, I followed their prescription exactly and my dog ended up bleeding nearly to death. I was forced to put her down. The vet who treated her said I shouldnt have given her the medicine that they prescribed. When I said I was doing exactly as they had instructed, I was told that she hadnt read my chart!!! My foolishness in staying with these people cost my dogs life. I wont go back.

Our Corgi had been seen at this vet hospital for almost 15 years... from his first puppy shots to today when Dr. Heffelman helped us say goodbye. We have been so blessed to have had 3 great doctors and caring and friendly staff for all those years. Dr. H helped us manage our pets pain until it was time to let him go. I cant say enough good things about the staff, especially Peggy, Stephanie and Rhonda who loved him almost as much as we did. When we get another dog, we will continue driving from Gold Canyon to Mesa for the competent and compassionate care we get there.

Dr. Richard Heffelman has been my vet for many years. He recently purchased this animal hospital and if your looking for an excellent doctor that truly cares about the welfare of your pet, you have the right place! I have been rescuing dogs (mainly pit bulls) for many years and Dr. Heffelman is as passionate as I am to get these dogs healthy and adoptable. He is very reasonably priced and works with you on your budget because he cares about the health of the pet. I will never go anywhere else.

I was referred to this vet practice by a family member. My dog had an ear hematoma that required surgery, and I obtained quotes from other vets that were approx. 3 times what Superstition charged me. They seemed to care more about my pets health than their bottom line. The entire staff was competent and extremely pleasant to deal with. Im writing this review in the hopes of sending them more business as a thank you for a great experience.

All of my pets go to SAH. My German Shepherd has chronic health problems and at one point they became life threatening and something Ive never encountered before. The entire staff at SAH are knowledgeable and friendly.

Took our dog here for an acute illness we thought may end up in surgery. Did not require any invasive procedures. Appropriate, intelligent care, genuine staff. Affordable as well. Our dog is well today.

Rock solid people, doesnt feel like an urgent care place or super clinical if that makes sense. Very fair and reasonable pricing. Had my dog spayed there and they did a very clean and neat job.
