Thomas and 91st ave loction! ******Buyers Beware!!!!******* I went to this location after purchasing a Groupon for an exam and a credit towards lenses and frames. After my exam the doctor recommends a progressive lens based on his findings. I go out to the lobby and see a lady who then tells me what the recommendations are and the cost of the glasses after all discounts are applied. I had brought 3 frames with me but they insisted they could not use them and talked me into buying some frames. I am not currently working and money extremely tight so I asked how much just to do the reading glasses. They were almost $300 less so I opted to do that instead however the lady was very persistent that I really should get the progressive lens. She did such a good job at selling them that when I got home I found out they accepted Care Credit. The next day I called them up and told them my situation and why I opted for readers but if they thought it best I would get the progressive lens and put it on the credit card. After looking at my order they again said that it was the doctors recommendation which is why they tried selling it, so like most people I follow the doctors recommendations. After choosing a different frame only ($30 more but nicer everyday wear) and all the bells and whistles ( progressive, transition, scratch resistance) and $400+ I wear them for 2 wks as instructed by the Optician and I notice my eyes are still giving me a problem so I go back in and have my eyes rechecked. This time he tells me oh there is a slight difference but not much at all in fact you really only need reading glasses. Really? WTF ? After I spend $400+ dollars! So then he proceeded to tell me its because Im diabetic. Uh, no! I am borderline 1st off and take oral meds twice a day and rarely over 100 and I followed up with a specialist who said my eyes were fine. A little dry but barely enough needed for corrections and that a pair of $20 reading glasses would suffice. No diabetic related eye issues at all! So I call back and speak to Ernie who helped me choose glasses and fit them and tell him that I want a refund because they sold me something that I didnt need. He tells me its not up to him and to speak to doctor. So after waiting over a week for a call back I call again and leave a message. The doctor calls me back and says that its his job to check eyes, make recommendations and its up to us to decide if we want to follow them. That its Ernies job to sell the glasses and again up to us to decide to buy. No S*** sherlock! But when a doctor says hey this is what I found and this ia what you should do to correct the problem thatswhat we do! Thats why we go to them in the 1st place otherwise why do we need them? After having a verbal battle for almost 30 minutes with the doctor, He finally says I dont want you to be unhappy so I will tell Ernie that you will be calling him and make the changes you want. So I get a call from Ernie who tells me to drop off the glasses and they will swap the lenses from progressive to readers. So I have my BF drop them off and he comes back and says they wont be giving a refund. So I call back and Ernie says that there are no refunds but they will put the readers in the frames. Excuse me? You want me to pay $400+ for readers ??? Seriously??? They never said and no place was it posted no Refunds! The facts are that *They sold me something that I didnt need (Only need basic readers) *They tried to say it was my fault (They are dishonest) *They tried to say it was medically related! (Its not!) *They wont issue a refund! ********POOR FORM!!!!*****BAD BUSINESS!!!!******Absolutely no customer service skills unless you count good sales tactics customer service

I wish there was an option below "Poor-Fair". I had a similar experience as the one already noted. Purchased a Groupon expecting to get what was advertised on the Groupon. Exam, frames and glasses. Of course, that was not the case. AFTER the $200 Groupon credit they still wanted another $271 for my basic prescription, plain-Jane glasses. I, too, took my prescription and left. They did not seem particularly busy when I arrived and yet my appointment started about 45 minutes late. I was offered the opportunity to pick out my glasses while I waited. I specifically asked which ones were available with the Groupon and was told "All of them, you can select anything you want, there are no restrictions". I ended up selecting a pair that were $139. After the exam when we sat down to finalize everything and she told me $271, I asked to see the Groupon. They pointed out that it does say $80 towards frames. But even at that, the remainder should have been about $50. They were unable to explain, in any way that made sense to me, how they got to $271. Frustrated, and late for my next appointment, I left - a very unsatisfied customer.

I got a group on coupon for 40.00. I walked out of there spending 180.00. Nothing special with my prescription. Nothing was explained on the coupon. I got my glasses w/in a week. And w/in a week they where broken. Very cheaply made. I called them and they said they would fix them at no cost. There is a year guarantee/warranty on them. I finally had time in my VERY busy schedule to drive 40 minutes out of my way to get them fixed. Just to find out that they wanted to charge me $30.00 after they fixed them. They never told me I had to pay. They said it was free. Needless to say, I got to wear my 180.00 glasses for a week because I am not about to pay them another $30.00 for a 3 second repair job. I got my glasses and a receipt. No paperwork showing any warranty nor did they give me a copy of my prescription so I can go somewhere else. I had to go down there to get it. These places are a rip off. And I hope someone will read this and learn their lesson from me before they rip them off too. Go to America Best! Get 2 glasses for less than one pair at this place.

I wish I had looked at reviews before I bought the Groupon - total rip off I wish you had a negative star! just dont go here and dont buy a Groupon! I purchased a Groupon that was for eye exam, single vision lens, and frame. I got the eye exam then chose a frame - not knowing that I had to pick out one with a certain price. No prices was shown to me and no notice that I had to pick a certain frame. When I got the glasses, they charged me $239.00...I should have walked out but I didnt. I asked for a refund because it was fraud. I called and spoke to the owner Ken Rosdk, he was horribly rude and refused to do anything except fax me the prescription, pick it up, fax it, or I could send a stamped envelope for it! He was so rude...the Groupon was worth nothing! I got absolutely no customer service. The alleged owner, Ken, needs a job where he doesnt have to deal with customers! Also - if you own a company, why are you taking the calls? Complete JERK!
