The staff at Aspen Dental didnt just fix my teeth: they literally changed my life. That seems a bit dramatic, I know, but Ive had bad teeth my entire life thanks to a great combination of genetics, bottle rot as an infant, and just not knowing the proper way to take care of them. Even my husband has pointed out a drastic change in my overall mood. The best thing to me? I got to take a picture with my daughter and feel comfortable with it. I drove past Aspen Dental on my way to work daily, and noticed the large PAYMENT PLANS sign. For someone with a tight budget, that stuck in my mind. Last week, my husband finally pushed me to get my teeth fixed and I chose Aspen. I could not be happier that I did. Not only were the staff AMAZINGLY friendly, they genuinely took an interest in how important it was to get my teeth fixed, and why. My birthday was a few days away, and Dr. Melander found a way to get my temporary crowns in place so that I could actually smile (for the first time in my life) in a picture and not feel self conscious about it. Dr. Sandhu did an amazing job with placing them and they look incredible. While the actual work they did was fantastic, when I think about Aspen, the first thing to come to mind about them is how they took care of me in a personal sense. I honestly believe that Susie, the dental assistant, could not have taken better care of me even if I had been her own daughter. Just step into this office and you can tell that patient care is a top priority for them. Even though Dr. Sandhu was the one to put my crowns in place, Dr. Melander (who did my initial exam and came up with the idea to put the temporaries in) still checked on me no less than three times. When I came in later for another issue unrelated to the crowns, almost everyone remembered me and asked me how my birthday had been. This staff is amazing, and I can honestly say for the first time in my life I LOVE MY DENTISTS. Ive been to this office five times in a week-- thats more than I saw my old dentist in three years. Im rambling, but I cant say enough about how amazing this office is and how glad I am that I made the switch. Thank you, Dr. Melander, Dr. Sandhu, Susie, Melissa, Brittany, Laura and everyone else whose names I forgot because my mind if terrible-- you all literally made a dream come true.

I went to this specific Aspen Dental location because of the great reviews. I needed all four of my wisdom teeth surgically removed, as well as a broken molar that needed to be extracted. I was completely sedated for the operation. They gave me absolutely NO instructions on how to care for my extraction sites after the procedure. They sent me home with gauze and a prescription for pain killers and that is all, so I assumed that is all that I needed. It didnt take very long for my wounds to get infected. The pain was unbearable, so a few days after the operation I called the on call doctor (Dr. Bobst) only to be informed that I was supposed to be provided with a syringe, prescription mouthwash, and antibiotics, along with directions on how to carefully care for my wounds! He told me to go back the next day so that they could clean it out for free and give me the necessary items to care for my mouth, along with antibiotics to heal my now infected mouth. When I arrived the dental assistant was very kind and understanding (and slightly horrified) about my experience. He then proceeded to take me to the back to the dental chair and told me the doctor would be with me shortly. Long story short, Dr. Mathur came in 40 minutes later and proceeded to tell me I didnt "need" any of those things, and that this simply could have happened to anybody. He denied any wrongdoings on behalf of Aspen Dental and basically said it was my fault. The lack of professionalism was astonishing to me! I have a job that I was supposed to start 10 days after my surgery but could not because of the MAJOR issues I experienced, which delayed my recovery EXTENSIVELY. Not to mention my recovery was MUCH more painful than necessary, again because of their lack of care! I now owe them $2,000+ after insurance for my procedure, along with work that I still have to go in for! I really dont want to go back but I have to because Im already paying for all of my dental work that I need done!

I had two unnecessary fillings via Aspen Dental. I have maybe 2-3 cavities my entire life and I am 30! My last cleaning was in January at a different location where I had no cavities October 6 was the initial visit at Aspen dental where I went in for a chipped tooth. They then told me I had 2 cavities that were small surface/ preventative ones. They also tried to upsell me on fluoride rinse, as well as tell me I had gingivitis, which I can say with full certainty is not the case. On Oct 24th I had the fillings done. I recall during the process that after numbing to where I couldnt feel my nose, I felt the pain of their drilling. They gave me a second numbing shot. For such a minimal cavity I do not feel it should have gone this deep to require a second numbing shot. After leaving, and the numbing wore off, I Experienced excessive pain when closing my mouth, eating or drinking. This pain did not seem to get any better with time. On Nov 11 tried new location as I had such severe pain when trying to sleep, eat, drink or even close my mouth. I am not a type of person to ever get headaches and it was a daily occurrence to wake up with headaches. I had Spoke with dentist who was unsure of why they had done fillings as he did not see anything while examining the X-rays. Nov 16 went for another visit to have the fillings ground down as he thought they were possibly too high which was causing discomfort. After this, I was still experienced excessive pain. This Dentist was very concerned that because the fillings were so deep (do note above these were "preventative fillings") I was at risk for needing a root canal since I had so much nerve damage. On Nov 19 I had fillings removed and temps put in to try and calm down my nerves. Finally after months of having the temp fillings, the pain subsided and I was able to go in for the permanent fillings in March. The management made it very clear that they did not care about me or my situation.

After going in for a tooth that needed to have a cavity filled, Aspen Dental told me I had a mouth full of cavities. I was shocked, as I had been going to a family dentist my whole life, but I was in a new state (AZ) so I hose Aspen Dental as my closest, most convenient option. So, as they began the "treatment plan" or fixing my so called cavities, they started to replace my amalgam fillings with composite fillings. This was completely unnecessary, but they were not telling me that was what they were doing; there were no cavities, in reality they were running up my insurance in order to bleed me dry while messing up my bite and actually giving me cavities with their shoddy work. They removed an excessive amount of my back molar, and left behind a lot of amalgam filling from my old filling when they replaced with the new composite, I had pain for weeks. I had gone back and demanded an explanation of why I had discomfort and why there was discoloration (I had actually thought it had popped out they drilled so deep and it hurt so much), but of course they refused it was a mistake on their part. It did NOT need to be replaced and Im at a new dentist whos trying to fix what Aspen Dental botched up. My new dentist states that even though the molar was filled last year, Aspen Dental had failed my dental work, and a cavity was already forming because they did not properly remove my old filling. How they have even a 4 star rating is beyond me -Im going to assume that some of these 4-5 star reviews must be fake, theres no other explanation.
