I went to another dentist a few years ago in pain, after an exam he said I needed a root canal and that they did not do them in their office. He handed me some pain pills and said his office would call me with a referal. The next day I was in agony and could not get into the new guy for a few days so I called the nearest dentist A-McDowell Dental and Dr Shafi told me to come right in. That day i had a root canal, crown buildup and a temp crown in a couple of hours. Now A-Mcdowell is my whole familys dentist. Just a couple of years ago during a cleaning Dr Shafi ask me about a sore on my nose and advised me to see a dermitoligist. Turns out I had a skin cancer! (and surgery) everything is fine now. I had no idea. This is a caring and gentle dental office with a great staff. I have never had a billing issue and the front office always gets the insurance right. Thanks for all you do!

I might be crazy but I look forward to visiting A-McDowell Dental. And I am not one to write reviews. But I make an exception for this business. I have had major work done on my teeth. Dr. Salim Shafi and his staff work flawlessly together to make you feel excited about smiling again. I cannot say enough wonderful things about his staff: a caring team of professionals. Dr. Shafi is, by far, one of the best doctors that I have ever had. He spends time explaining procedures, tailors your dental work to your needs and advises you on how to care for your long term dental health. I highly recommend Dr. Shafi and A-McDowell Dental.

Dr. Shefi is a very experienced, professional, and most importantly kind person, which helps when you are in a lot of pain and have to make decisions. Also his nursers and staff were incredibly helpful and nice in a very stressful situation. If it wasnt for them, I would probably loose my tooth and who knows, what else, because it happened shortly before I had to leave Phoenix. I wish I could use these services in the future...

A-McDowell Dental is centrally located with a friendly knowledgeable staff. I just had a 20 year old gold crown replaced (tiny pin hole)by the same dentist, Dr Shafi. Hes done 7 crowns and a few root canals on me..... all professionally done. He used to teach dentistry. Therefore, he knows his stuff. They will try to fit you in on the same day if one needs immediate dental work. Highly recommend.

Very nice team, quick service but didnt feel rushed. I liked that the team takes the time to get to know and talk to you while not wasting your time by booking too many appointments on top of each other that at other dental offices. Ive been here twice and will continue to come back! Thank you! :)
