Firstly, Somer Dental will try to sell you dental work that is not needed & is not necessarily covered by your dental insurance. They are a corporate dental office and make an effort to "sell". For example, when you go in for your semi-annual cleaning the dental hygienist will tell you that she wants to put an antibiotic on your gums. Then you find out that the cost of this is over $200 and is NOT covered by insurance. My dentist of many years (in the previous city I lived) told me that is not required. Secondly, every time I go for services, I pay Somer the amount my dental insurance tells me that I owe them on my EOB. Ive even called the office to explain that Im not paying the full amount billed, because according to their contract with my insurance carrier, they are not entitled to that full amount that they have billed me. As of today, I still have a small balance billed to me even though the insurance company has called their office to tell them they are not entitled to that money, per their contract with the insurance company. My life is too short to spend so much time calling them over and over about a small amount of money they keep billing me for which they are not entitled. I am now in the process of looking for a new dentist that I can trust.

Had my very first (and hopefully only) root canal done here and this team was great. Courtney was excellent! Had a bad experience when I was little like a lot of people do and had told them about it before getting started and they did a great job at helping with fear I had. My root canal was about 95 percent painless and not nearly as horrible as most people make them out to be! Thank you Sharon, Courtney, Geraldo and Dr. McCartin.

Dr. Chi is okay. But has many staff changes over the last 3 years, and their billing practices are horrible. I went back in 2011 the office manger was so rude I did decide not to make a follow appt. Paid my balance in full 6 mos. later I get a bill for services I already paid for. And thats not the first that has happen its the 2nd. The first time they threat to put me in collection unless I came in for service.

The staff at Somer Dental has been the finest lot of people I have come across in a long time. I was seen promptly, and care was given to ensure I was comfortable even though I had to be seen urgently for a painful situation. My appointment was made last minute, and I cant thank them enough for being so understanding and genuinely kind.

Extremely happy with the friendly, courteous staff who went out of their way to explain each process before proceeding. At no time did I ever feel sold. Doctor Dara was very thorough and helped me to understand what preventative measures I needed to take to help myself down the line. Highly recommended from this satisfied patient!

LOVE THIS OFFICE! The girls here are beyond friendly and funny. They actually make coming to the dentist enjoyable. Valerie the hygienist is very thorough and gave me a great cleaning. Dr Dara gives painless dentistry which is a new one for me! FULLY recommend coming here!

I started going to Somer Dental years ago, then moved to another company, but returned due to the service. My kids love going to Somer Dental. The staff is very helpful and patient. My family will continue going based on the service weve received. Kudos to Somer Dental.

This place is AWESOME!!! They took me as a walk in with a emergency and they were so friendly and nice. They discounted my price since I was paying out of pocket. The Dr even called me the next day to se how I was feeling. Definitely going to make this my dentist.
