It’s rare that you come across a standout health and wellness provider like Dr. C. I recently moved to Tempe and depend on chiropractic care to keep my neck and hip pain-free, and the rest of me energized and running many miles each week. Imagine my thrill when my three sons wanted to join me. My 11-year-old son wants me to share, "I love going to my chiropractor because I look forward to seeing everyone. Alyssa is like a sister to me. Dr. C helps me with my neck and is kind all over the place. When I have an appointment, I think, Great! I get to go to the chiropractor." Im in awe of Dr. C and Alyssas commitment to meet people where they are and help them to be better. They are fearless in wanting their patients best. Recently, my oldest son was in from college on his winter break. He is a starting baseball pitcher and had a minor complaint of shoulder pain. This strong team needed to break the news to him that his situation was in need of a major overhaul if my son was to go the distance this spring season. With great encouragement, a thorough and personalized plan, and excellent skill, in one month Dr. C. helped my son to be in the best shape of his life. Active Family Chiropractic will be an asset to everyone they touch. Literally. I highly recommend.

I have had insomnia for the last couple of months and my neck had been bothering for probably the last 7 months. I would get massages but it seemed to be only temporary that my neck pain would go away. My back then got messed up and ended up getting screwed up out of alignment because of my neck. Its been a couple weeks since I started getting my back and neck adjusted because of the pain. Once my back pain started to go away I tried to sleep without any medication help, and now its been 4 days of sleeping just like I remembered 6 or 7 months ago. Ive realized how much just having my neck out of wack just a little bit can effect so much of my body. I wouldve never thought my sleep had to do with my neck because it would only bother me sometimes. A lot of people should try getting adjusted if you are having trouble sleeping, just to see if it can solve the problem. She is also a great chiropractor and wants to answer every question you have with truth and has a lot of motivation to get you better ASAP. Id definitely recommend Dr. Carlson if you are having back/neck/sleep problems.

Ive had an incredible experience at Active Family Chiropractic. I went into the office after hurting my back while dead lifting a few months ago. I was really nervous - Id never had any kind of back injury, and Id never been to a chiro before. Doctor Carlson and her assistant Alyssa are wonderful. From originally sitting down for a diagnosis of my back pain, xrays of my spine, and setting up a plan for rehab... everything was excellent. Both ladies make you feel very comfortable in the office, and focus on educating you on what ails you to empower you to make good decisions to improve your health. Their vision is very holistic. Doctor Carlson created a workout plan (exercises, sets, reps... everything) to help me transition into rehabbing my back and improving my overall physique. We talked diet, rest, stress - everything that impacts my health. Im even doing yoga once a week now. In a few short months I saw drastic improvement in my back, and even the curvature of my spine. This is the only chiropractic office Ill be going to moving forward :)

Active Family Chiropractic is amazing! As an active duty Marine, I have been through many private and military Chiropractors, Doctors, and Physical Therapists. Without a doubt, Dr. Carlson provides the best care and treatment Ive ever had. The staff at the office treats each client on a personal level, as if they were family. In only 3 months, I have seen amazing results in my posture and my pain levels. My strength and endurance have improved drastically. Before working with Dr. Carlson, I could barely run 2 miles without my knees swelling and experiencing intense pain in both my back and knees. She caters each clients care to their own life circumstances and injuries. Active Family Chiropractic is so much more than just a Chiropractic office. When I first called this chiropractic office, I was greeted with a "Active Family Chiropractic, this is Alyssa, how can I make you smile?" WOW. Just by that intro you know this office is a fantastic place. I came to Dr. C. with a misaligned vertebrae, and a messed up shoulder that I couldnt even sleep on. Since November, she has helped me so much by giving me guidance on home exercises, aligning me during appointments, and coaching me to get better in every way possible. She gives great advice and I am so thankful for having Dr. C and Alyssa in my life. My shoulder is almost back to 100%, and I even started heavy lifting again with no pain in my back or shoulder. Active Family Chiropractic is truly an amazing place and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I have been a patient for five years and am very thankful for the caring healing provided by Dr.Carlson and her staff. When I first met Dr. Carlson, I was living a fairly sedentary existence, working long hours, traveling a lot on planes, eating poorly on the road, and generally not taking care of myself. Dr. Carlsons approach to overall wellness, not just fixing immediate symptoms, had me walking and running to get fit. Within two years I ran a marathon, something I would never have done without her input. The entire staff at Active family Chiropractic is very caring and professional. Even though they are no longer just a mile down the road from me, I make the trip to Tempe to receive the level of care that they provide.

My family started with Active Family Chiropractic after I was diagnosed with three bulging disks in my back and my special needs daughter was wheel chaired bound as a result of nerve damage to her leg. We were both desperate to end the pain and looked to chiropractic care as an alternative to pain medications and potential surgeries. Since coming to AFC, both have felt outstanding. My daughter is no longer in pain and is now participating in cheerleading. To see her go from a wheel chair to doing cartwheels and somersaults in six months is truly amazing. When friends and family comment on her turn around, I cant stop telling everyone to call AFC. Brooke, Heather, and Dr. C are an amazing team.
