Take my advice and stay FAR, FAR AWAY from this place. Because naturopathic doctors here lack basic medical expertise, you are at increased risk of medical errors. The provider who I saw ordered bloodwork for me, which included a test checking for lithium levels. When I went back for my follow-up appointment, the doctor said that I had a lithium deficiency because my bloodwork showed undetectable levels of lithium. She said most people are lithium deficient in Arizona because it is “not present in our water anymore”. She then prescribed me lithium carbonate. I asked her what were the side effects of taking lithium, and she said there were none—she said the worst it could do was make me a little drowsy. I thought nothing of it at the time and filled the prescription. Later on, I saw an actual MD who was baffled that the naturopathic doctor ordered that blood test. It is only meant for people taking lithium for bipolar disorder—they need to closely monitor their lithium levels to make sure they don’t go to high. So no wonder I had a “lithium deficiency”— I am not taking bipolar meds! The side effects of lithium include hand tremors, nausea, discoloration of fingers, and increased thirst. The White Cranes doctor did not tell me about any of these side effects. Before prescribing lithium, providers need to make sure a person doesn’t have a kidney disease, thyroid problems, or low sodium levels. Taking lithium while pregnant could harm the unborn baby. After doing my own research, I was disgusted that the naturopathic doctor prescribed me lithium in such a cavalier manner, without asking me for a thorough medical history. I am glad I got a second opinion; otherwise I would have taken a medication I don’t need that could potentially kill me if I took too much of it. The doctors at White Cranes have absolutely no right to prescribe allopathic medication that they know nothing about. Lithium should only be prescribed by licensed psychiatrists. I’m never stepping foot in this place again.

The doctors I met were very friendly and interested in my care. However, I would not recommend this office if you are looking for primary care. The staff was unprofessional and spent their time gossiping. After my initial appointment, I scheduled a follow-up as well as a papsmear with the same Doctor (Peronel). I showed up (mind you I was taking time off work for this) only to be told that Doctor Peronel was working elsewhere for the remainder of the week. They said I could come back another time or see a totally different Doctor when they were available. I replied that since I had already taken the time off work, I would wait for another provider. After a substantial wait, I was seen by another Doctor that after chatting with me about thirty minutes, that I was good to go. I asked about my papsmear and she had no idea I wanted one that day (although, again, the appt I made was for a follow up and papsmear. Specifically. ) I had to wait another thirty minutes or so before another examination room was made available before I could finally have that exam performed. Finally, I asked for a prescription for birth control, at which time I was told by this Doctor that she does not prescribe birth control because she doesnt believe in all the hormones it puts in your body. If I wanted birth control, I would need to call back for Doctor Peronel and she could prescribe it for me. Later that week, I did call, but was unable to reach the Doctor and never received a call back. In all, I would not recommend this facility as the staff are unorganized and unprofessional.

I do NOT recommend this place for anyone. Do NOT go here. There is a man by the name of Johnnie that works there and he like to call himself the Lead MA is a joke for an MA. Not only does he have the hardest time doing blood draws and IV but he is very unsanitary and is going to eventually infect someone with the way he preforms blood draws. And this goes for all the people that work here except Dr. Peronel. if you are an ex-tern and you have been placed here in this site Tell your school to switch you ASAP. The only thing they make the MAs do is clean such as scrub base board and scrub the bathroom. No top of that you will be sewing bed sheets. This place is NOT NOT NOT NOT a learning experience. Do not waste your hours here. Go to another ex-tern site your school has to switch you. As for the people Jelina and Elena that run this joint, please dont get me start on the two most incompetent people i have ever met at a so called doctors office. Keep in mind jelina is NOT a doctor but she practices and sees patients. its only a matter of time when this sinking ship of an office finally capsizes. And i hope sooner than later so that they cant wrap ex-terns and these poor patients minds anymore. Thanks, Ashley Martin former Ex-tern

I was having issue with my health. I have visit several other doctors but they seem to not able to tell me what wrong. They told that I just have the flu. Couple of my friends suggest me to visit this place. Couple appointments later, Dr Ip said that I may have the Lyme disease and outline a treatment plan for me. Well all my symptoms are gone. The place is well organized and the exam tables were covered with freshly wash linen. Staff is well aware of what they are doing. If you are looking for a new primary care doctor, give this place a try

Dr. Ip is one of the only reasons I continue to go to this place. The new staff they hired isnt as experienced as I would prefer. They have naturopathic remedies, or EASTERN if you prefer to call it. As well as Western medicine. The rooms are comfortable, sometimes they dont take care of prescriptions when they say, sometimes it takes 1-3 days. Maybe it was a fluke. I would say that since one of the best nurses named Karen doesnt work there anymore, the place has slowly been sinking.

Ive been going to whites cranes medical for about a year now. Ive always been taken care of. I can call same day and get an appointment or cancel last minute and they are always helpful. Jalina is a doll and dr. Peronel and Taylor are great. Id recommend this office. If you are looking for another stuffy medical office though, this place is not for you. However I enjoy the relaxed feel of this place. :)

I love this place my doctor IP is wonderful very nice and helps me as much as she can Im so glad I found this place the staff is pretty nice also but I have a appointment today and I cant get through to there office weird but yea other then that its great
