After extensive research and reading reviews I opted to make an appointment with Dr. Citron. The reviews that I read showed that he was great dentist. When I called to make an appointment the woman that answered the phone was not professional at all. She was short on the phone and seemed to be bothered by my questions. It appeared to me that she did not want to answer my questions and her customer service skills were less than average. Despite my first impression I still made the appointment, since the dentist was highly recommended. When I went to my initial appointment the receptionist was not warm nor welcoming which was not a surprise to me based on my initial conversation. During the appointment, Dr. Citron was great and he made me feel like I had made the right choice. Since he was going to be working on my teeth, this to me was most important and I was willing to look past my initial phone experience. I had a teeth cleaning appointment scheduled a few weeks later in June. On the day of the appointment I became very ill and I was not able to make the appointment. When I called in to cancel the appointment, the receptionist was very rude and made it seem like it was my fault. There was no empathy for my situation and again she made me feel like I was being a bother to her. She explained to me that they would not have an available appointment until September but that she would put me on the waiting list for a sooner appointment. Since I was sick and did not feel like arguing I took the September appointment with the hope of an earlier cancellation, again keep in mind that this was in June. It is now August and I had yet to hear from the office so I called in for an update. When speaking to the receptionist she was rude and seemed bothered by my questions. When i asked for a referal to an oral surgeon she seemed botheref by any of my questions that i had regarding my next steps. She then stated to me that I had missed my appointment and that it was not her fault. She stated to me that her next available appointment was in October, what happened to my September appointment?? She lacks any type of customer service skills and its sad to say but I have had better customer service skills from someone in another country. I called back and asked to talk to Dr. Citron, to comment on the experience that i had with his receptipnist. When I gave feedback regarding the receptionist, Dr. Citron became defensive stating that his receptionist is "good at her job and what she does". He proceeded to tell me that he was "very upset with me for missing my appointment and was contemplating on charging me but did not". At this point I could not believe what I was hearing. I have never had an experience like this and I was appauled. I have worked in customer service for years and never had I heard anything such as this and I was taken back. It felt like a dream. I would not recommend anyone to go to this office. The receptionist is very unprofessional and Dr. Citron proved to be the same. You are only as good as your weakest link and if Dr Citron delivers this type of customer service then its no wonder why the receptionist would as well. I will take my business elsewhere. Thank you!

A couple of years ago my wife and I went to Dr, Citrin for much needed work on both of our teeth. I needed a partial lower denture and she needed a full upper. We were so pleased with the professionalism and caring of both Dr. "Jay" and his staff it was a no-brainer to go back to Dr. Citrin when I finally decided I needed to complete the work and get my full upper denture. What a difference in the way I look and feel!! I went from looking like a hillbilly psycho killer in a horror movie to a guy with a great friendly smile again. Words cant describe how much better I feel or do justice to describing the caring and professional treatment you will surely receive from Dr. Jay and staff. Im still amazed Im writing this review after having the remaining 6 teeth extracted this morning, my new chompers in place and in virtually no discomfort!! Dr. Citrin is the "uber dentist" in my book. He not only will provide the highest level of skill and professionalism available when it comes to your dental needs, but also cares about you as a person and your pocket book.

I had an appointment to see Dr. Citrin a few months back. The night before my appointment my dog had 4 grand mal seizures. I called his office first thing in the morning at 8:00am to cancel my appointment because my dog was in grave condition. I informed the receptionist of what had happened and that I couldnt make my appointment and I was willing to pay any cancellation fee to not have to leave my dog after having 4 grand mal seizures the night before. This was the receptionists exact response. "It is a pain when people do this to us, This is a major inconvenience for us when people do this". There was absolutely no apology for my dog just having several seizures and no "Im sorry to hear about this". The receptionist was beyond rude to me at a time that I thougth I was going to make a decision about my dogs life. This place is supposedly "family dentistry". Well based on my experience this office is anything but a "family" outfit when their more concerned about a missed appointment than a "family dog" that just had 4 grand mal seizures.

My first experience with Dr. Jay was in July 2010. I hadnt seen a dentist in 6 years and was in some serious pain from a tooth that was infected and in desperate need of a root canal. I called the office and spoke to the receptionist (who was very nice and helpful) and was informed that Dr. Jay was on vacation. She told me she would speak to him and see what he can do. 5 minutes later I get a call from Dr. Jay (who is out of state on vacation) and he ends up calling in a prescription for an antibiotic for me and then gives me his personal cell phone number and says to call him if it get any worse. I was completely suprised by his compassion and professionalism. They ended up getting me in the office as soon as my schedule would allow and after my experience over the phone and first visit I knew Id be a patient for life. Thank you so much Dr. Jay!

I have been a patient of Dr. Citrins for 18 years. He has such a positive and loving personality. Just today I heard him walk into the room with another patient and said, "Now if it hurts, make sure you tell me, and I will stop". I am in the Entertainment business and so many times Ive had teeth crack (yes, bcause of Popcorn!) and I will call the office, and the answering machine gives me a number to reach him, and he was at home! and he said meet me at the office in a 1/2 hour! They do NOT make them like Dr. Citrin anymore. I also love it when they call me ahead of time and remind me of my appointment! Thank you! and as I always tell my students, I must know what Ive been doing, Im still here and Ive been doing this for many, many years! Susan Quinn
