I injured both ankles at the gym. I rested for several weeks, took ibuprofen and kept them elevated. Went back to the gym, modified my workout but tendonitis flared up in both ankles and I was having difficulty walking. Not wanting to mess with my mobility at 61, I needed a good assessment, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I called to ask for their foot/ankle specialist and got an appointment the next day. (Bad sign #1). I was seen by James L Head, MD. I had X-rays. He looked at my feet, asked where/how they hurt. I said I had hot pain radiating up both legs and told my gym story. He said "Well, at your age (61) its probably arthritis so take Motrin." With that he left the room. I contacted a physical therapist and trainer whos been in Conway for years and she said "thats what he tells everyone Ive referred so I dont use him anymore". So Im at home in ankle supports, feet up and iced and living on Aleve and can hardly walk and billed $120 for the pleasure. Ive never written a review, let alone a negative one and this is a very young doc just starting out so I decided to call him and express my concern. I called (was on hold for 12 minutes) and left a message. Someone else called, was very short and hateful and said he wouldnt be available for 2 days and she "couldnt say whether or not hell even call". Im a RN with 30 years of practice. Dont waste your time, money or deductible. Go to Little Rock. UPDATE: Dr Head returned my call. He listened and was gracious in hearing my concerns.

Doctors are great but front staff and nurses are horrible! Absolutely horrible experience. I work in Russellville and have to drive to Conway. Showed up for and MRI after driving 45 minutes, sat in the lobby for 30 minutes, was called up and told they didnt have a nurse to do the MRI.... wasted half a day and then they billed me for a doctor visit. Next visit I came back and got my MRI for my foot AND neck. Was told that I would see both doctors on my follow-up (one for foot one doctor for neck). Showed up for my follow up, sat in the waiting room for an hour and 20 minutes past my appointment time and finally went to the front counter to check. The girl behind the counter was on her cell yelling at someone for not dropping her kid off at school or somthing. When she finally looked up she asked me what I wanted. I told her and she gave me the dirty look. Got called back and the nurse asked me what my pain level was. I asked what body part was she referring to as I had 2 MRIs and she said my shoulder. I then told her it was my neck not my shoulder to which she responded "Dr. Smith doesnt do necks" and walked out.....Hello...WTH is going on in that office. At that point I had enough and left. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BAD SERVICE AND RUDE NURSES!

Told me a damaged nerve in my back was causing me to lose strength in my right leg. Sent me back to work on full duty knowing that that means Im back to climbing on top of school buses. Im pretty sure that if you go to them with workers comp they are going to treat you like a second rate citizen. Dr. McCarran seem knowledgeable and was pretty nice but after him telling me that it was obvious that lack of strength on my right side could be troublesome. His nurse gave me a note saying I should have no problems climbing bending lifting. my jaw dropped. I was shocked at this so much that I had to ask twice while there. Then had to call again once I made it to the house. Calling them was a big upset. The lady that answers the phone wasnt any help but said she would pass the message along.... 3 days later Im still waiting. I feel that they treated me differently mostly because it was through workers comp. So much so that after I spent time talking about it with my wife I decided to hire a lawyer to review everything and see if they come to the same conclusion.

The surgery was good, but their system malfunctioned for one of my visits and showed I didnt have a PCP. So they decided to wait four months after my surgery to bill me for the visit. They told me its on me to fix it and get my insurance to cover it. That it said I didnt have a Pcp and even though it was their fault for accepting me as a patient I was still the one that had to fix it. Ive had a PCP for two years now. They were not helpful in the situation at all. They kept sending me notices in the mail saying my payments were late but I wasnt notified til the bill was more than four months overdue. Tried fixing it and they still waited a month to tell me it didnt work. I finally just started a payment plan to get it paid so I would never have to deal with them again. Id rather drive to Little Rock or somewhere else than deal with this awful clinic.

1 star rating is too much for this facility. I called the billing/insurance dept to see if they accepted my insurance. As soon as I got the question out, they hung up on me. Aggravated due to the reviews Ive previously read, I didnt want to call back, but given my situation, I was somewhat forced to do so. I called back, asked my insurance question again, was told they did accept my insurance, but when I asked to schedule an appt, I was hung up on again! Ive previously had surgery on my knee, but my surgeon is out of the country now. I have been denied by 4 surgeons in Central Arkansas! I refuse to call this office back to get an appointment, even if that means leaving the state, possibly country for surgery, I will do that before I fund this facility!

I have asked my doctor to change my specialist immediately after only 1 appointment with this place. Its not hard to find a doctor who is knowledgeable, but apparently this place has a hard time finding staff that are nice and compassionate. Every staff member, including front desk and nurses, that I interacted with was extremely rude and inconsiderate. All over their website they talk about how friendly and compassionate they are. I honestly thought I was at the wrong place. Apparently their testimonials are just as fake as the pictures used on the website. Will be telling everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs!

Go to this clinic if you enjoy: - Waiting 2 months for an appointment while you manage your pain the best you can - Waiting over an hour after your scheduled appointment in the waiting room - Not seeing your doctor after waiting over an hour, requesting a rescheduled appointment, and having to wait for phone calls for "nurse approval" of your reschedule appointment request. If you enjoy this type of experience when trying to see an Orthopedic doctor, then Conway Orthopaedic & Sports Clinic is the place for you.

Horrible first impression. Just got off the phone with them trying to schedule initial appointment and the person that answered first was so rude and snooty I couldnt believe it. Whoever the receptionist was on May 27, 2015 at 1:30 pm needs to change jobs to something that requires zero interaction with the general public. After that got transferred two more times and ended up with someones voice mail so I just said forget it.
