Since the new facility has been built Ive been to the er 4 times for 3 different family members, walked in to have labs drawn twice for another doctor at another hospital, and gone through prenatal care and delivery. Every single visit has gone exceptionally well. When I saw Hartung in Hudson I would be waiting over an hour for my appointment every time. Now Im in and out in 30 minutes and he always checked and answered everything I was concerned about. Delivery was great and I loved the option of using nitrous oxide. I was so sweetly attended to afterward and they had so many nice perks from tucks pads (who NO ONE told me about with my fist three! ) to a birthday cake, complimentary massage, and dont even get me started on the fabulous queen sized recovery bed. So. Comfortable. The ER check in was so considerate when my daughter broke her arm and didnt hold me up hardly at all with paperwork until after my daughter had pain meds in her. They were very understanding when I had to bring in my foster baby for a bad coughing fit while he was sick. They had my husband checked out and ready to go before I even got there after his car was totalled. They did a blood draw on my other foster boy that his home clinic was incapable of doing. Theyve just been great. Ive pretty much been in every corner of the facility at this point and its all been great. The only thing Id change is adding some Lays chips for the new mama who just needs some salt! Bring your own junk food. Everything here is healthy;)

Arrangement of the new facility and parking is ridiculous. Did anyone bother to consider what might be best for patients? Hard to tell. But its literally set in stone now. Might look pretty at first but. But when a person stops long enough to think about the placement of certain things, practical would have been better than pretty. In terms of care, I must say that some of the staff members are really on top of things. Others could work harder on listening to their patients. We know a lot about how we feel and what might help us feel better. Others must learn to ask better questions. After that, administer the correct treatments rather than the brush-off/lip service treatments that leave patients to suffer needlessly. "To do no harm." Were not all asking for magic pills or fistfuls of controlled substances, though Im sure you run into that. Were asking you to do right by the people who come to you folks for good care. Youre healthcare proVIders. Remember? Who among you took the Hippocratic Oath and now practice the Hypocritical Oath? Remember: Lies of omission are still lies. And harm by denying access to and prescriptions for needed services and medications is harm. If the above statements do not describe your individual behavior, they were not directed at you. If they do describe your words and actions, please be bothered to the point that you do right by those who seek help from you.

After several years of going from doctor to doctor for major leg issues Baldwin was the first clinic to ignore my age and actually take a look. Thats why they get one star. Because wound care is amazing......however, I get referred to see a nurse practitioner who specializes with psych health and pain management and am scheduled for an hour long appointment.....I was taken back ten minutes late had vitals done and sat for 38 minute before I finally said we need to reschedule. The NP was typing away on her computer and the MA told her I needed to be somewhere shortly after 3.....the NP stated that this was an hour long appointment.....with that being said, the appointment should have been done by 3....so that means that the NP was planning on giving me less than ten minutes of her time, but insurance will be billed for a full hour of care.....thats not taking time for the patients.. needless to say after talking and talking this place up. I will find help elsewhere. Since I need my medications managed and she didnt have time to listen....this is not taking time for the patient and their needs.....this is rush rush get paid bs and I will not see providers who will not take the time to help....and at this point I badly badly need someone to listen....I walked out of their crying like a fool

Absolutely disappointed, after 17 years with the clinic our doctor has left 3 times in 3 years. After being told no doctor will prescribe pain meds for a patient who they dont have a history with I was made to feel like we were being accused of being drug seekers. Yet we have not sought out new providers, their doctors keep leaving. Its hard to develop a relationship with your doctor when theres a new one every other month. 5 years of care for the same life long injury, 3 emg tests ordered by their doctors, 2 surgeries and months of physical therapy and now because theres new doctors again, evauluations at pain management clinics to ensure there is really a need for pain meds, their own tests already determined the injury is there.I dont feel this place cares for anything more than earning another buck. The " If you dont feel better in a couple days come back"approach just keeps on bringing in the dough.

Brought my boyfriend in this afternoon into the emergency room like instructed by the triage nurse. He had seen a Dr at the mayo clinic in glenwood city about two weeks ago with breathing troubles. They did an xrays and found he has some denseness in his lungs they gave him an antibiotic and an inhaler and told him to try it and see if it clears and come back. Last night he couldnt breathe he was sweating his ass off I was up every twenty minutes checking him. It was still bad today so they said bring him to the nearest emergency room which would be baldwin. He sat there in front of the dr not being able to breathe I would have assumed they would have given him some oxygen. Said his oxygen levels were normal and to go back to primary at mayo clinic glenwood. Were back home nothing has changed. Im so sick of this hospital I would bring my dog there if he was dying. Worthless lazy doctors.

After having a really terrible birth/postpartum care at a big hospital in St. Paul with my first baby, I really did my homework for my second. Several friends recommended Dr Hartung for his very thorough and evidenced based approach. He truly sees you as a whole person and I cannot recommend him enough! Im happy to say that the birth of my second baby was wonderful, the facilities at the new hospital are fantastic. In addition to dr Hartung being absolutely wonderful, the nursing staff was fantastic (especially Carrie who was with me during my labor/delivery) I felt respected, safe, cared for, and most importantly heard... Things that were so very lacking in my first birth. The one surprising thing about western Wisconsin hospital... The food wasnt terrible! We even got a birthday cake to eat to celebrate the birth of our daughter (yum!)

I had a great experience here and currently go here on a regular basis for my childs check ups. I use the fitness center. They have a very nice, new facility ! The staff members are very nice and welcoming too! I just recently had my first child here as well. The whole staff I think is awesome and very helpful! I had Dr. Hartung as my delivery doctor and he is very nice, knowledgeable, and friendly ! I had a ton of people recommend him to me before I went here and now I know why! The birthing center staff are also very helpful and nice! I had the honor of having Rachel, Carrie, Sarah, and Andrea all be my nurses throughout delievery, recovery, and lacation help. They were all so nice. If and when I have another child I will definitely be going back to Western WI Health!!
