Not impressed. I brought in my 17 year old small mixed breed to have her put down and as we were walking into the room the vet assistant insisted that we weigh my little girl. I asked the vet assistant "Do you know why were here?" and her response was that she did and that it was important to weigh the dog anway. I refused to do it as it was difficult for my dog to even walk at that point. Furthermore, the vet taking care of her busted a vein when he gave her the final med to end her life. It took way too long for him to realize what had taken place and to then give her another shot--whereupon he had to leave the room and re-enter. She wasnt in pain but it was a horrible way to end it. Whole procedure should have taken five minutes. It lasted 20. I have also felt a strange judgement from three different Vets when I have opted to NOT utilize expensive procedures--like paying $1300 for a dental extraction procedure. I am a widow and single mother and have asked if they could do the dental extractions now for my 14 yo yorkie and would they be willing to let me make payments. They said "No" but that I could put money down in advance and when, I had enough theyd go ahead and do the procedure. So, the weird judgement I was feeling was obviously more about them getting paid than the alleviation of discomfort for my dog. I will continue to go there until my current dog is no longer living because leaving would be a headache at this point, but I wouldnt (and do not) recommend their care.

Your review Dr. Lewis is a fabulous Vet! ‎ - ‎ - Today I took one of my pets to Dr. Lewis for the first time this passed week. He is a fabulous Vet and my dog absolutely loved him. He is very educated, willing to educate me and didnt suggest anything that my dog did not need. He is very trustworthy and that is often hard to find. He is the first veterinarian that I have taken my pets to other than my father in law who is no longer here with us. I was hesitant and nervous to trust someone out of the family. I am SO pleased with Dr. Lewis and happy that we have found the perfect Vet for our family. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and well maintained. A++++

Midday yesterday I found a nasty wound on my cats head. I phoned for an appointment and thanks to Brooke my cat was seen w/in 90 minutes. He was cleaned up, given an antibiotic and ready to go shortly thereafter. He is currently under house arrest for five days. The staff I dealt with were efficient, sincere, knowledgeable and professional. There was minimal wait time.The lobby/waiting area is spacious. The facility is spotless. And to Dr. Boos - without a doubt, it was a most thorough and caring veterinary appointment experience - you will be requested for our future veterinary needs. Thank you. Linda Lalum Arroyo Grande

Please do not pick up deceased animals in the parking lot for all to see and then gurney them back through the lobby for all your customers to see. Use the side door like you said you would.. If cremating pets, Please disclose to pet owners that their deceased pet will not be picked up until only Fridays and that it may take 1 to 1 1/2 weeks before getting your ashes back. Other than that the staff people were always great and helpful and Dr. Boos was very patient and comforting when it came to my dogs care.

The folks there are nice, but be prepared to wait. Ive never had an appointment that happened as scheduled. You get there early, check in, and then wait for a long time. Dont plan any time-critical activities after your appointment. Although this can be said about almost every doctors office Ive ever been to. Doctors dont seem to care about other peoples schedules. The people here are good people, though, and seem to genuinely care about the animals they see, so Ill continue to take my pets here.

My pets have been seen by Dr. Lewis, Dr. Stanman, and Dr. Boos and I must say I really like them all. Dr. Lewis did excellent surgery on my dogs leg. She broke her femur in half and her bones are small, but now she is almost 100% better. They have good prices and the staff is always caring, friendly, and knowledgable.

Called twice to try and make an appointment for my dog and was put on hold to the point where I could not wait any longer. Filled out online new patient request over a week ago and no response. I always had good service from VCCA but wanted to try a local small business for my new dog.

Took my cat in for some bloodwork Nothing serious according to results. THEN took her back second vet looked at the same results and said shes in complete kidney failure and has cancer. So my problem is the bill is like 650.00 for what. Very disappointed.

Dr. Sagartz is awesome. So good to my pet and compassionate. He is sympathetic to owners emotional needs as well as financial. He is also very thorough. The staff all seem to really love the animals brought in and truly care for their well being.

Love Dr. Lewis! I reccommend this clinic and when you call you should request Dr. Lewis. I can be picky about vets but Im very happy with him. Also, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.
