In the stress that I went through via leaving my windows open to reduce the heat in my car, my purse, cash and cards were stolen at what I thought was a private event. Not having all my cards or my cash put me in a spot and Dr. Gary did not even want to take money for the visit, though I insisted . A veterinarian about two weeks ago told me that it was likely that my dog had brain cancer, vestibular disease and needed a $2500 MRI, and a $200 blood panel to undergo anesthesia to perform removal of a fox tail that would cost me an additional $800. Instead, Dr. Gary said that my Pomeranian had an ear infection and gave me directions on what to do for a Dog well over 10 years of age and appeared To be at deaths door. I was charged $69 which included prednisone, a healing salve for his ear infection and hotspots (created by moisture from me trying to keep him cool by getting him wet) and a return visit in case the fox tail removed, had any remaining . The previous veterinarian guilt tripped to me about not spending the nearly $2000 at a minimum, that he requested, and even suggested I should prepare myself to put him to sleep . After two days of crying and waiting through a very challenging Wednesday of no sleep ( Dr. Garry takes Wednesdays off) and tremendously labored breathing, it was a huge relief to trust a well seasoned vet with confidence that my dog is going to live quite a bit longer . Make an appointment or get there early, theres no question why hes one of the best veterinarians in Santa Cruz County .

Generations of our pets have been going to see Gary for the last 17 years. Hes straight forward & down home, and can get even the most disagreeable of our cats to cooperate. He emphasizes the pets humans observations over expensive tests, and the pets quality of life over epic life-saving efforts. His rates are super-reasonable, and as a bonus, his once travelling clinic is now embedded in Mountain Feed & Farm Supply, another 5-star business.

DR GARY HAS ALWAYS BEEN SO COMPASSIONATE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TALK TO YOU IN LAYMAN TERMS THAT ARE UNDERSTANDABLE. HE NEVER SEEMS RUSHED AND TAKES THE TIME WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL ANIMAL,I ALWAYS WALK OUT OF THERE WITH HAPPY TEARS FROM HIS KINDNESS EVEN ON A SAD VISIT WE LOVE YOU DR.GARY YOUR THE BEST THANK YOU

He is so kind, honest, and truly cares about animals! I will see him today, if open hours permit in order to get my little puppy his third and final shots.. my baby cries about everything, besides when Dr. Gary gives him his shots! Such a good man. Thank you so much!

Google, please revise the address for Mountain Animal Hospital. 9550 Hwy 9 is the address for "Mountain Feed and Farm Supply". MF&FS shows no evidence of veterinary facilities.
