I recently switched dentists. I chose Dr Yangs business because its right next to Alta Bates...that in my book...gives his office instant credibility...as opposed to those shopping mall dentist offices...lol. Well, but I still had to find out if I had made the right choice. I was assigned to Dr. Taylor...and let me tell you...she simply RULES. Dont be fooled by her youth,,,shes an amazing dentist. I was a bit intimidated at first...because I was in for two deep cleaning sessions...and that procedure was very intimidating to me...lol. But Dr Taylor made me feel at ease...shes very personable and chatty...automatically put on music to make me relax...and is really caring about peoples needs. She kept double-checking to make sure I was not in pain whatsoever...she even gave me an extra dose of anesthetics on my lower left section just to make sure I was pain free. How cool was that? Shes also a great educator...and instructed me on how to further take care of my teeth. The price was amazing...I had taken estimates from other providers...and none matched Dr Yangs prices...very reasonable...they are clearly not there to make themselves rich...they really care about peoples teeth. Dr Yang was not my personal dentist...but I also met him...and he also seemed very affable. My sister recently sought Dr. Yang as well...and she also had a great experience with him. Now my reward is to get teeth whitening...Im scheduled at the end of September...Dr Yang is offering teeth bleaching services for only $250 right now...how in the heck can you beat that price??? The only negative is that you have to wait a while between appointments...some offices can see you the next day...a Dr Yang appointment can take up to a month...thats because its only Dr Yang and Dr Taylor right now...but I was informed Dr Mendoza is coming soon...so that will help with the bookings. Oh, and Dr Yang no longer validates parking from the parking lot...but theres off street parking as well...just find a spot...lol. Based on my three meetings there so far...heck yeah...that place deserves FIVE stars. Overall...a great experience...I have finally found my permanent dentist in Dr Taylor. Dr Yang is no slouch himself...lol. P.S. Yes, they honor DeltaCare/Delta Dental

My family had been with this office since before Indu Sharma purchased it. Things were more or less OK until recently. The office cancelled my childrens cleaning because the hygienist needed to be out, and then... nothing. Id call and theyd promise to call back with an appointment and nothing. No appointments available, for weeks on end. In the meantime, I went in for my own cleaning, and it became clear that the office had missed a cavity right at root level: both this time and last time (a filling had fallen out, and become filled with goop, so they called it "brushing too hard damage to the root". Once cleaned out it was plainly a cavity, visible even to my six year old). The hygienist saw the spot, but did not probe it because "it was on the root". They had no appointment available for a filling, so I got a next day appointment across the street. Sharmas office stonewalled me on getting copies of the X-rays, finally releasing a fuzzy "summary" X-ray that was nearly useless. The new dentist took his own sharp X-rays and found the visible cavity was the tip of the iceberg: the next tooth over had a large ugly black hole between the teeth that Dr. Sharma had completely missed. I saw the second cavity in the mirror once the new dentist opened things up: no doubt about it. Ugly, black, deep. And, yes, there was a third cavity also. The new X-ray showed the root retreating from below a prior filling. Underneath that decades old filling: black gunk, again missed by Dr. Sharma. Then, out of the blue, I get a letter from my insurance company saying that "for the interest of all concerned" that my family would be transferred to a different office. Mistakes happen. Dr. Sharma could have apologized and moved on. Instead she has lost my business and trust forever.

I am writing this review regarding my case which recently happened with Berkeley Family dental. I have selected this place for myself and my wife through Delta dental insurance company. When I called Indu Sharma office for appointment the representative named "Lisa" asked me first about my insurance, and i gave my all insurance details and i was said that I will receive call in 2 hrs which i didnt receive it. After 30 hrs of wait, I called again to Dr. Sharma office and again I was said that i will receive call in another 2 hrs. All right, I received call in 2 hrs and one lady representative said me that I will get appointment after 3 month. Up to 3 month there is no space. She suggested me to find another dental service provider if i want to have appointment ealry. Strange!! You know what, When I visited their webpage online to find appointment then its available after 2 days. But through online service, they dont accept the people who has Delta Dental HMO plan. You should call them if you have HMO plan to book the appointment. And When you call their office, You know the story what they are doing. So, Finally they are discriminating the patient based one plan you have chosen. If they dont like the patient to visit who has HMO plan, why not they inform are accepting people to register it through Delta Dental HMO. I am going to share my story with Delta Dental Insurance company and other corresponding places for my recovery. Thanks.
